Moisture balance of apartment
Blasinski, Petr ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
My diploma paper is concerned with the problem of humidity in residential buildings, the experimental temperature and humidity measurement in protected rooms of buildings and its follow-up evaluation according to the valuable regulations. The next part of my diploma paper is concerned with the economical evaluation of different sets of air handling units, realized on air conditioning system wellness sports center. The draft of this air conditioning system was a goal of my bachelor thesis „ Hot-air ventilation of Wellness Sports Centre ".
Development of concrete with limited volume changes
Martanová, Jana ; Skopal, Ing Karel (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with volume changes of concrete. Attention is paid to the shrinkage. They describe the different kinds of volume changes in cement concrete, the reason for their creation and the ways in which they can be eliminated. The practical part is focused on monitoring the volume changes of concrete for 28 days using different amount of plasticing additives.
Energy Evaluation of Residential Buildings
Fojtů, Pavel ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Vendlová, Lucie (advisor)
This master thesis offers two cost-saving measures to reduce the energy consumption of a residential building. These measure include insulation of the building envelope, domestic hot water by solar colectors and heat recovery.
Possibilities of detection of water content in porous environments using electrical impedance spectrometry method
Fejfarová, Marie ; Bartušek,, Karel (referee) ; Bednárová,, Emilia (referee) ; Pařílková, Jana (advisor)
This doctoral thesis with the title “Possibilities of Detecting the Water Content in a Porous Medium Using the Method of Electrical Impedance Spectrometry introduces electrical impedance spectrometry (EIS) as an indirect electrical method of measurement and a tested apparatus for application in water management practice and in material engineering. A wide range of porous media in the area of water management have been narrowed within the preparation of this dissertation thesis to available samples of chiefly sandy soils and in material engineering to typical building materials, which are still solid burnt brick and timber. Measurement took place in the Laboratory of Water Management Research of the Department of Water Structures and in the Laboratory of the Department of Building Materials and Components at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology, in the Laboratory of Soil Mechanics of the company GEOtest, a.s. and in the Laboratory of the foreign university KU Leuven, KHBO in the City of Oostende, Belgium. The experiments performed required not only the production of special constructions of measuring probes and their connection, but also modifications of stations at which measurement was carried out. It is possible to use this doctoral dissertation thesis as a methodological manual of how to apply the measuring apparatus based on the EIS method in monitoring changes in the water content in selected porous media due to hydrodynamic stress imposed on it.
Economy and ecology of biomass utilization
Plíšek, Petr ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with an economic and environmental contexts of biomass utilization. The first part focuses on the description of the nature and manner of use of biomass. Another part is focused on economic aspects related to biomass. A necessity in the processing a particular energy source is its ecological problems, that is the third chapter. The last part is devoted to the design condensing heat exchanger and its output relative to the fuel wetness content, and boiler output with a condensing exchanger depending on the combustion products cooling temperature.
Meteorology and measurement techniques
Vaňousová, Jana ; Hammer, Jaromír (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis deals with the branch of science called Meteorology. It is connected with measurement techniques, too. Basic terms are defined, structure and classification of atmosphere there are briefly described and furthermore basic meteorologic components are analysed. Finally there is an evaluation of meteorologic data measured unprofessional meteorologic station.
Temperature and humidity measuring station
Vilímek, Tomáš ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
Bachelor thesis entitled „Temperature and humidity measuring station“ is focused on design of a device, that will be able to measure, save and display information about temperature and humidity from connected sensors. There is described used components such as LCD display, sensors, RTC, data saving, communication with personal computer and description of alternative sensors. Practical part contains implementation of components, scheme, manual for the device and decription of device firmware.
Elaboration of Methodology for Hydrometer Calibration
Malina, Pavel ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This work deals with Elaboration of Methodology for Hydrometer Calibration. The main goal of this work is to gather together information about humidity, hygrometer, calibration and make methodology for hydrometer calibration. Part of the work is an online system for manipulation and administration of calibration results.
Reconstruction of the town spa in Malé Svatoňovice
Macek, Štěpán ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to prepare a documentation for building permits and a part of the documentation for the building construction on the basis of an architectural study, developed in the „AG35 – Monuments Restoration Studio“ module. The topic of the studio work was to think about the appropriate use of a listed building in the historic center of the village of Malé Svatoňovice and to create an architectural study. I have proposed the following concept. The building should serve as a municipal house, so I have concentrated the corresponding functions here: the municipal office, the ceremonial hall, the museum, doctors labs, cosmetics, the pharmacy and finally the spa, which had a long tradition here. When restoring an object, I proceed synthetically. I examine the quality and preservation of individual layers. Then I highlight the best of each one. If some layer have not been preserved, but still have had its qualities, I remind it in a new language. I think it was Tadao Ando who said, "If the genius loci is to be legible, it must be revived and provoked by inventive inputs." I combine modern with historical using timelessness.
Gel infusion screen system for additional waterproofing of various types of masonry with share of secondary raw materials
Melichar, Jindřich ; Klečka,, Tomáš (referee) ; Dohnálek,, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Miloslav (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
Virtually any construction project in our climate zone is facing some form of moisture. Older and historical buildings are mostly affected by the negative impact of water. Previously, the additional reduction of the moisture was executed only by mechanical methods, pushing insulating sheets or breaking through and cutting of masonry. Over time chemical methods were also invented, which are compared to the mechanical considerably simpler and user friendly applications to statics of treated buildings, making them ideal for the treatment of historical buildings or buildings that would not bear significant disruption. The main principle of chemical methods of redevelopment of wet masonry is the application of special material into the line of drilled holes with a given pitch. Subsequent penetration of the grouting material is believed to intersect an arc of individual drill holes, and thus to create so-called grout curtain that prevents the accumulation of water above it. Injection material may also contain a proportion of secondary raw materials, thereby reducing the influence of the impact of production on the environment. Efficiency infusion materials in masonry affected by many factors, such as temperature, humidity, or the type of material treated. It is also an important factor to determine the effectiveness of the remediation of the material, proving its ability to penetrate the building material by identifying its presence in it.
