Multifunctional building Brno - Líšeň

The theme of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a new polyfunctional building in the city district of Brno-Líšeň. The area is defined by Josefy Faimonové Street and surrounding buildings. There are primarily concrete blocks of flats located in the neighbourhood of the object. The principle of the design lies in including the object into its environment in the context of its closest surroundings. The building does not dominate the given area by its shape nor by the choice of materials. Its integration into the slope allows the building to adapt to the surrounding terrain. The object of the multifunctional house is divided into several functional units which are closely related and complete each other. There is a café, leaseable premises suitable mostly for commercial or administrative usage, doctors’ offices and an underground car park situated in the building. This car park would be able of covering the needs of the whole object. A semi-closed atrium is designed for relaxation and access and, together with the modification of the space in front of the building, it should contribute to creating public space used by the residents of the housing estate.

Urban concept of social center in residential complex Brno-Lesná

The subject of the assignment is urban concept and social center housing complex Brno-Lesná that during the construction of housing estate Lesná already been completed. The initial document is current cadastral map of the territory, orthophoto map and its own research area. The main objective of the study is to examine the territorial land use options that already has an earlier era of the proposed basic transport and building structure and contains values that should be respected. Complement all functions, check undeveloped areas, investigate and propose pedestrian routes in the area in relation to public transport stops and the center of gravity of the territory and tackle parking, suggest new uses of existing buildings and to propose new objects and also propose solutions to the pit, including landscaping and greenery adequately the importance of land use.

The thesis deals with a design of a new construction of a polyfunctional urban house. It concerns a corner plot near the busy Opuštená avenue. The building is supposed to supplement the intended housing estate. Designed to be suitable for domestic, administrative and commercial use while maintaining an effective budget, the property is to provide the residents as well as the location with a high-quality space.

Development of the construction of residential properties in České Budějovice

The aim of the theoretical part of my Master’s thesis is to summarize the historical evolution of building construction in České Budějovice, to process the summary of residential construction in each area of the city, and to describe current construction. There is described in my thesis how was the city of České Budějovice developing, varying and ramifying over time. In the practical part I did the analysis of the future construction using the survey among residents of České Budějovice and so future builders. Analysis determines the requirements for the type and location of the future construction, builders’ own building requirements. This thesis summarizes and describes the history and current construction. Also thanks to the practical part gives awareness about the direction of residential constructions in České Budějovice in the coming years.

Vision for Kotovo

The service building Kotovo, built between 1970s and 1980s of the previous century, is situated to the south from the city center of Vsetin, in the city part Rokytnice. The building stands at the beginning of the housing estate tight-close to tower blocks. Two floored object in a U form consists of three standalone blocks, that is A, B and C part. Nowadays, Kotovo is used for a variety of services and markets, such as grocery shops, dentist office, post office or children’s library. The city of Vsetin is fully aware of the state of Kotovo and plans to reconstruct the building. First part of the diploma thesis analyses specifics of this space, deals with connecting the object to its surroundings, defines its possible functioning utilization, and above all it finds meaningful vision for the future reconstructions. The goal of the diploma thesis is to tie in to the areas draft potential, make and architectural concept for the whole area and then design one of the buildings. The thesis should work as a vision and the foundation document for the future reconstruction.

Revitalization of the Antonín Slavíček housing estate in Svitavy

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is the design and revitalization of the Antonína Slavíčka housing estate in Svitavy. It is mainly a comparison of 3 variants of the solution. Maximization of parking spaces in zone 30, a more suitable solution for parking in zone 30 and a design using a residential zone. The subject is the extension of existing sidewalks and the design of new ones, the reconstruction and creation of new local roads, the reconstruction of the surfaces of existing stands and the proposal to increase the number of new ones, the installation of container stands for mixed and sorted waste.

An Analysis of Urban Amenities in Housing Estate Inner Courtyards in Bratislava

This bachelor thesis focuses on an analysis of urban amenities in inner courtyards of housing estates with a special focus on playgrounds. It includes a description of the history of housing estates in Bratislava and especially the Trávniky estate, which was further analysed. This estate is analysed from both a general perspective and urban composition. The theoretical part discusses the area of public amenities in general. The practical part includes a comprehensive analysis of selected courtyards with a focus on playgrounds and their user experience, amenities and security. Collected data were analysed and a simplified SWOT analysis created. For the most pressing issues, changes and possible improvements were proposed.

Architectural study of the sacral object Brno - Live /Líšeň/

The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of a study of a sacral object - the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit in Brno, Líšeň. The church building is complemented by a spiritual center. The construction program is limited to the following: the church building, with its facilities - parking spaces, rehearsal room, flower preparation room, sale of small items with a rest area; main nave of the church, choir, space for children with parents, chapel; background of the sacristy - confessional, parish office, sacristy, depositary. Another part of the building program are the premises of the spiritual center: reception, foundation offices with archives, conference room, Sunday school classroom, multifunctional hall, club room, 3 apartments with a separate chapel. Everything is complemented by technical and hygienic facilities. The design is extended by relaxation areas in the vicinity, which expand the portfolio of civic amenities in the area. The design includes both sacral and profane functions. The spiritual center is therefore of a multifunctional nature and offers stimuli both for the Salesian community and for the local inhabitants of the adjacent settlement. Their meeting center is Kostelní náměstí, which meets in the axes of the two main directions of arrival from Horníkova Street and from the Salesian Youth Center. The foreground with seating and sale of small items serves the general public, which can continue to use the multifunctional hall for concerts, lectures, exhibitions. The premises of the clubhouse, classroom and the Parish Atrium will be used for educational and other activities for children, their parents and grandparents and other social groups. The spiritual center also enables the official activities of the foundation with the possibility of using the surrounding facilities. Development of Construction of Residential Properties in Tišnov

The Master’s thesis deals with the development of construction of residential properties and housing estate in the locality of Tišnov. The thesis describes the particular historical building periods in Tišnov. In shows the historical development, changing and growing on the town. Some chapters describe the current status of building activities and the possible future development of this area in the residental properties. The main purpose of the thesis is to get the detailed summary of the construction of residental properties in the elected lokality from the very beginning to these days. All results the research are displayed in the overwiew map, the individual period sof building development in the town of Tišnov are distinquish with colors.
