Analysis of cloud office systems

This thesis deals with cloud office systems for small and mid-sized businesses. The main goal is to analyze the market for these systems and to recommend one of the products selected on the basis of multi-criteria evaluation. The thesis is divided into theoretical part where it focuses on explanation of cloud computing and cloud collaboration terms, and into analytical part where each product is introduced and evaluated. The thesis is beneficial for businesses that are considering moving their office systems to the cloud. Because of the possibility to adjust criteria weights the businesses can get customized evaluations according to their own priorities.
Identity Management Solution for Small and Medium Businesses

The topic of this master's thesis is development of identity management solution for small and medium business. The thesis is divided into four major parts. The first part contains theoretical background as description of RBAC model or model with relationships between practically used objects (user identity, role, position, permission, account...). Analysis of functioning and needs of targeted organizations was carried out in the second part. The third part describes the design of the developed application. The fourth part discusses actual implementation of the application. The main outcome of the thesis is implemented application that can be deployed at thesis defined organizations. The application includes all the functionality required in the first phase of the project.
Cloud services in organization

The work deals with the definition of the word cloud computing, cloud computing models, types, advantages, disadvantages, and comparing SaaS solutions such as: Google Apps and Office 365 in the area of electronic communications. The work deals with the use of cloud computing in the corporate practice, both good and bad practice. The following section describes the methodology for choosing the appropriate cloud service organization. Another part deals with analyzing the possibilities of SaaS in particular the organization and in the last part of the work is performed SaaS implementation services.
Cloud computing: The analysis of possible solutions

The aim of the bachelor thesis on "Cloud computing: The analysis of possible solutions " is primarily a technical presentation of the current phenomenon of cloud computing, then assembled with the comparising scenario assessment of the performance of applications 365 Office and Google Apps, and to evaluate its suitability for the deployment in mid-sized companies. To fulfill the above objective work, I gave the first study of the entire cloud issue - its definition, methods of securing and study of legislative frameworks and standards that relate to the cloud issue. After studying theoretical perspective on the cloud, I focused on software products 365 Office and Google Apps. To final section, a comparison of selected applications, I came up with study materials and the creation of test scenarios. In the first part of the thesis I focus on the description of cloud computing from the perspective of the individual models, which are put into operation. The following section describes the cloud security, the benefits which it can deliver to company and on the other side, where they can see the downside. Another framework is legislation, as it directly af-fects the security and establishes rules to be observed. In the optimal state legislation pro-vides safeguards and protects both providers and users. Right in work is therefore given the diversity of law, affecting cloud computing in different countries and also on what to watch out for contracting with providers. The second part presents the characteristics of products, Office 365 and Google Apps, then describes the introduction and implementation of the configuration of individu-al products, which are the necessary steps for the mutual comparison. The very creation of the comparison of 365 Office product and Google Apps prod-uct was made by mine in advance proposed test scenario. In the final part is the result of a comprehensive evaluation and comparison accord-ing to established criteria and their weights is chosen recommended more suitable product. Thesis highlights the importance of understanding the cloud, among other because of careful choice of model of cloud, and also choice of a provider. The outcome of the test scenarios work gives an overview of the functionality and product reviews 365 Office and Google Apps. Based on the comparison of results and supporting information for each product, I recommend the more appropriate one. The work is not only beneficial for those interested in understanding the cloud, but also for companies contemplating about the de-ployment model Software and services to their business.
The selection of software for cooperation support within a group of self-employed individuals

This bachelor thesis explores the selection of appropriate software solutions for co-ordination of activities within the group of self-employed individuals. The aim is to find and recommend the ideal solution which will be beneficial in terms of communication and data sharing under the predetermined conditions. The first part of thesis deals with the theoretical framework and is focused on the explanation of terminology and the description of basic methodological principles. This part of works is based on secondary literary and internet sources. The description of relations and activities within the group is followed by the analysis of the current state of communication and data management. Subsequently, the deficiencies of the system are examined and on the basis of these findings, the specific functional requirements and technical parameters of the new system are established. The next part of the thesis includes the comparison of chosen software tools according to the specific requirements and the description of the functionality of these tools. The compared applications are web-based file hosting services, then the specific Google Apps group and finally a cloud computing software IceWarp Mail Server (free access within the group). At the conclusion of bachelor thesis is evaluation and comparison an assessment applications and recommended the most suitable of it. The benefit of this work is comparison SaaS model applications suitable for collaboration, presentation of their functionality and selection a particular solution suitable of the self-employed group, by extension any group with similar needs and requirements.
Google as a enterprise solution

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of cloud computing and its appropriate deployment in small and medium business. The objective of this thesis is to analyze the offer of Google products and to demonstrate measurable benefits of this solution. Introductory part of the thesis summarizes the history of IT and it is looking for the connection between history of IT and the term cloud computing. This term is described in detail with selected cloud computing characteristics. The main part of the thesis deals with analysis of Google services, technologies and platforms, which could be used in enterprise. The matters are viewed not only economically, but also from the technological and security point of view. In practical implementations are demonstrated measurable benefits of deployment to the Google cloud platform. Finally, the thesis provides the summary of platform's advantages and disadvantages with a description of practical advices for small and medium businesses
Google Apps - cloud computing in use

This thesis aims to introduce a reader to cloud computing and Google Apps in order to install and use a solution based on Google Apps. First I would like to present basic facts about cloud computing and its division. The following part is dedicated to Google Apps with the history outline of the development of this system and the list of offered versions. Then I would like to describe in details all the most important services, which this system offers, focusing on a practical aspect of the Google Apps package. To be more precise, for what or why it could be useful for future users. The next part of my work presents how I have tried to install and make this system work in my own domain and it also describes small differences that I made in the installation. The following chapters are about verifying the functionality of the installation, the evaluation of costs associated with deploying of this application, presenting and searching reasons how to use various versions of Apps and their purpose. Finally I have compared advantages and disadvantages of Google Apps. I have evaluated the aim of the thesis, in the conclusion, if it is possible to create a working solution based on cloud computing without high financial costs and time effort along with the assessment of practical use.
Use of Web 2.0 technologies in education

The thesis Use of Web 2.0 technologies in education introduces the concept of Web 2.0 and its basic characteristics. The first chapter is based on the explanation of major tools and technologies labelled as Web 2.0. The second chapter deals with specific services which have already found its place in education process. The same chapter evaluates the ways of dealing with their appropriate use, particularly in higher education. This chapter contains also the examples of successful use in education. The thesis is mainly concerned about using Web 2.0 tools in the environment of Czech schools. As Web 2.0 services are not new, I asked students and teachers at the University of Economics in Prague and asked what experience they have with such instruments in their personal life, so in context of education. The third chapter is entirely devoted to survey the use of Web 2.0 tools in the practice of The University of Economics in Prague. Content of the final chapter is a reflection of what direction the web will evolve in the coming years. It also evaluates social issues associated with the turbulent development of the Internet and Web 2.0.
