Coating methods for cutting tools

This diploma thesis is aimed on methods of the coating cutting material (cemented carbide, cermets, cutting ceramic, super hard materials) and evalutation individual method regarding technological posibilities of deposition of hard coatings a their mechanical, thermal and che-mical properties. The task of the work is full elaboration obtained technical knowledges and mainly evalutation a comparison of the work conditions (kind of the cutting materials, cutting conditions) that selected producers recomended for effective turning aplications of the coa-tings cutting materials.

This thesis deals with coated cemented carbides, which are used for the manufac-ture of cutting tools. In the first part are listed and described basic cutting materials. The main part is aimed on the coated cemented carbides - coating methods, manufacturing and properties of coatings. The third part deals with coated cemented carbide product range in the world's leading producer of tools and tool materials.

Modern cutting tools for grooving and cutting-off

The presented diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with modern catting tools for grooving and cutting-off, choice of material of catting inserts, and with types of tool wear and their classification. The second part of the thesis deals with calculation of volumetric wear of catting tool for grooving. There was measured the power load of the new and worn tool in the experimental part and the observed data were evaluated by software. The graphs of power load and volumetric wear of tool were created.

Draft of rotary part production technology

The part of diploma thesis contains configuration of lathe machine in software Sinumerik. Document includes also the basic rules for developing NC program for two channels lathe.

Micro-turning applications in high precision manufacturing performed by diamond tools

Bachelor thesis is focused on micro-turning. The work takes the form of a literary research, which aims to make an overview of the production technology. First, it deals with the definition of the topic itself and with the physical properties and phenomena that occur during micro-machining. Then it discusses the construction of micro lathes and their division into categories and compares them to each other. It also deals with the cutting tools suitable for this machining process and their production and shaping. The last part of the thesis is focused on the application and utilization of micro-turning in industry and on the creation of non-rotational components and micro-structures.

Trend development of machine tools

This diploma thesis deals with trends of the development of machine tools, and focuses on technologies and machine tools for manufacturing of pressing dies and on manufacturing of cavity of moulds. First, the existing state in the field of these technologies is described and defined, and subsequently, the dissertation concentrates on modern conceptions of this manufacturing.
