India as an economic superpower and its development since the end of the Cold War

This work discusses the change in Indian position in international relations during the Cold War. It is a qualitative case study, which is also dedicated to finding influences that caused the change in the Indian position. Work includes the following sections. The first part describes the theory of international relations relevant to the study of the Indian position within the great power relations. Next part analyzes India's economic development and historical development of India's foreign policy and relations with the most important global actors. The final chapter is a study of global governance institutions and policies of BRICS and its position to the institutions of global governance.
Analysis of the Economic Development of BRICS Countries in 2007–2015

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is economic development assessment among and within BRICs countries in the context of developed world during 2007-2015. Based on yearly panel data, an analysis for following macroeconomic indicators was carried out: gross domestic product, inflation rate, unemployment rate, current account on the balance of payments, exchange rate. The profound analysis of selected indicators is instrumental in the comparison of member states and is supplemented by the comparison of BRICs and G6. Based on its evidence, I come to a conclusion that the BRICs as a whole succeeded in establishing as a strong global actor. That has been achieved with the help of global financial crisis, but also with regard to the economic policy implemented in 2007-2015. As a result, GDP of BRICs in terms of GDP of G6 achieved stable growth rate leading to its increase by 52 %. Besides providing main findings, outcomes of this thesis enable to identify main weaknesses and strengths of BRICs economies affecting the prospects for continuance of stable economic growth.

Internationalization of energy resources has led to a problem of the smooth functioning of the global energy industry , and now this problem has a greater influence on the entire system of international economic relations. One of the key instruments of the country under such circumstances becomes a foreign policy aimed at providing leadership and competitiveness in the world. The Russian Federation has a unique geographical and strategic position in Eurasia , the largest reserves of primary energy resources on the planet, has a well developed industrial infrastructure and a significant intellectual potential .

The system changed after the Cold War and the bipolar structure ended and left the USA as the only superpower. The question of the 21st century what is the current structure and how the emerging powers are becoming more important and how it can change the structure and rise their dominance in the multipolar world. The analyzed actors Brazil, China and Russia through their strategies are offering the possible system changes and configurations for the near future from the realist/neorealist perspective.
Amibitons, acomplishments and perspectives of the BRICS countries.

The primary objective of this work is to comprehensively evaluate the capacity of the BRICS to achieve its objectives by mutual cooperation, based on the confrontation of the declared aims of the group itself during its annual summits with real achievements. The secondary aim of the study is to estimate the direction in which the cooperation between the BRICS will be heading in the future and to define possible challenges threatening its success. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part the author describes the genesis of the term "BRICS", and then continues by describing the essential characteristics of individual BRICS countries and their mutual similarities and differences. In the second, main part, the author evaluates the extent of fulfillment of individual goals set during the BRICS summits, taking place annually since 2009. The author evaluates seven selected key goals by analyzing the reasons for their implementation, proposed methods of implementation, the steps taken for their fulfillment, the effectiveness of these steps and the current status. Subsequently, in a similar manner author evaluates several sub-targets. In the third part, the author presents the expectations for the forthcoming BRICS summit, outlines possible directions that will be taken by BRICS in the future and identifies the weaknesses threatening their successful cooperation.
South Africa among BRICS countries

This thesis deals with motives of the South Africa's inclusion to BRIC countries and examines the impact of this inclusion on South Africa. It explores the question whether South Africa "deserves" the inclusion to BRIC countries and what characteristics connect it with these economies. The thesis also analyzes the BRICS bloc, the current situation in these economies, their cooperation and performing on the global scene.
Role of BRICS in the conceptions and reality of the external relations of the EU

The topic of this diploma thesis is the role of BRICS in the conceptions and reality of the external relations of the EU. The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyse the mutual relations of the EU and BRICS, based on a comparison of the workings and factual bases of their relations and to deduce possibilities for further progress in their cooperation. The EU develops relations with BRICS countries mostly on a bilateral level. Since the announcement of their strategic partnerships, cooperation between them has grown rapidly. Because bilateral agreements don't reflect actual needs anymore, there are ongoing negotiations about their new form which should enable further deepening of their cooperation. The first chapter describes the position of BRICS countries in the external relations of the EU, the development of the legal-institutional framework of relations between the EU and individual countries and the objectives for further deepening of cooperation. The second chapter analyses trade, flows of foreign direct investments and other areas influencing the mutual relations between these entities. The third chapter offers possibilities for further development of cooperation between the EU and BRICS countries.
Factors of economic impact of Brazil and China in the context of BRICS on the world economy

This thesis focuses on the analysis of the economic impact of Brazil and China in the context of BRICS countries on the world economy. The first chapter sets out the specifics of the BRICS group, with emphasis on Brazil and China. The second chapter analyzes the current economic situation of the two selected states through economic, social, political and technological indicators. In the final chapter, on the basis of the previous analysis identifies the main factors of economic power of Brazil and China, their possible future developments and risks associated with the dynamic development of these countries.
Commodity structure of the BRICS countries trade and it's development

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to define and describe commodity structures of trade, which are key for every single BRICS economy and which evince the highest rate of interconnection and complementarity within BRICS grouping. The methods of comparison, description and analysis were used in order to reach this aim. Great emphasis is put on examination of imports and export of BRICS countries in 2008 -- 2012 period. From the point of view of the commodity structure division, the Standard International Trade Classification -- SITC was used in this thesis. Also the most important socio-economic indicators related to BRICS countries are stated in thesis.

Next part of this thesis is focused on every member of group of economic cooperation BRICS (Brazil, Russian federation, India, China and South Africa) separately. First part is focused on origin, history, common goals and future of BRICS. Second part is dealing with every member of this group alone. The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate and to analyse potential export and investment opportunities in BRICS countries. In next part there is a focus on risks, which are directly related to BRICS countries. Trade relations of every member of BRICS are described as well.
