Automatic tool change systems in construction of machining centers
Labounek, Dalibor ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
Automation tool change is a major factor that affects the overall level of factory automation machinery. Due to its large number of tools for machining, the system of automatic tool change (hereinafter referred to as "AVN") address one of the first questions. The help of the AVN minimize secondary production times and operator intervention while increasing productivity. With that is also linked to higher safety and minimizing human error. AVN systems expand opportunities working in the engineering industry, which is positively reflected in the price. The theme of the present thesis deals with the analysis of the problems of automatic tool change in the structure of machining centers.
Ramena manipulátorů pro automatickou výměnu nástrojů
Vondráček, Adam ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Blecha, Radim (advisor)
This Bachelor paper deals with constituent junctions forming an automated tool change. The first section depicts the conception of tool magazines and the most frequently used methods of tool change. The following section clarifies the term tool unit and the attachment and clamping thereof in the machining tool spindle. The conclusion of the paper is designated to tool changers, mechanisms carrying out their movement, the construction and powering thereof.
Description of automatic tool change systems in machining centers
Glogar, Matěj ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
Automation of tools changing belongs to key issues how to increase universality, flexibility and total level of automation of processing production machines. We don’t usually manage with one active term (tool) in the cause of the mechanical machining only but we derive benefits from many different tools in the appropriate operation circle. Therefore the first matter of raising productivity of machine-tools was a necessity to change automatic tools. The main contribution of automatic tools changing that are used by numerical control machines is a possibility of automatic control of whole machining on the one specific machine. An automatic tool changing contributes to reduction of operation time and to reduction of the amount of operation’s intervention during the industrial process. This is related to elimination products inaccuracy, that is caused by human factor (e.g. bad tool’s position) and increase of safety at work. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to make a literature research and to characterize automatic tools changings, which are used by machine-tools with a horizontal spindle.
Options handling of tools and workpieces on CNC machines in actual practice
Dočekal, Václav ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with a detail description of authomatic tools change and automatic workpieces change of by CNC machines. Also it describes all matters connected with the issue, as types of bins, ways of clamping of tools and workpieces in the machine and possibilities of manipulation with tools and workpieces. This way dear and attentive reader gets wide look at the possibilities of realization of authomatic tools change and authomatic workpieces change. Author puts deeper emphasis at the actuallity of constructions and methods by these types of manufacturing automation at CNC machines.
The automatic tool change system
Petlach, Jan ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Blecha, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses tool holding systems used within CNC machines and analyzes individual parts, that form automatic tool change mechanisms, whilst paying extra attention to construction principles of automatic tool changer arms. Furthermore, it shows usage of these mechanisms on particular CNC machining centres
Current trends in the development of automatic tool change at milling machines
Bilko, Tomáš ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is creating expert research of whole classification, description and evaluation of tool changing systems for milling centers.
Virtual commissioning of the CNC milling machine tool changer
Procházka, Jan ; Bražina, Jakub (referee) ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is the virtual commissioning of the automatic tool change for the MCV 754 Quick CNC milling machine with the Sinumerik One control system. In the first part of the thesis, research in the field of CNC machine tools is presented with a focus on automatic tool changing. The second part of the thesis deals with the actual virtual commissioning procedure. The procedure maps the setting of all necessary parameters and configuration of individual programs to achieve successful virtual commissioning. In addition, the thesis describes the principle of communication between the programs (Create My Virtual Machine, TIA Portal, NX Mechatronic Concept Designer). The thesis concludes with a full virtual commissioning of the automatic tool exchange, an evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of virtual commissioning in the software NX MCD and recommendations for practice.
Design of end effector for automatic threading
Jiříček, Lukáš ; Kočiš, Petr (referee) ; Szabari, Mikuláš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the design of the end effector intended for threading. The end effector should allow for position compensation and automatic tool change. It should be designed for cutting internal threads from size M5 to size M10 using taps. The weight of the end effector structure should not exceed 10 kg. At the beginning of the thesis, research was conducted in the field of end effectors. Furthermore, an analysis of the problem of threading was carried out. In the next part of the thesis, two variants of the end-effector solution were designed, from which the more advantageous solution was selected based on a multi-criteria analysis. A design and calculations were also made for this solution. An assembly drawing and production drawings of selected components were made to represent the design of the effector. At the end of the thesis, an economic evaluation of the end effector was made.
Design of tool turret for CNC lathe
Navrátil, Lukáš ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with mechanical design of tool turret for CNC lathe. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to research of automatic tool exchange and current trends in design of tool turrets with drive of rotary tools. The second part is focused to design of tool turret, which is based on the findings of the research part of the thesis. The design includes calculations of machining loads, spindle deformation, bearings, gears and spindle startup. Furthermore, 3D models and selected drawings are included.
