School director's agenda on the preparatory week

The final thesis deals with the preparatory week at school. This is a very important period for the start of the school year and subsequent operation of the school. This thesis is focused on the directors of elementary schools and their activities in the preparatory week. It is based on the theoretical part which deals with the principles of the weekly planning, organization, delegation and time management. The second part of the thesis research which is about a multiple case study. The research part focuses on the analysis and findings composition and scope of individual activities of directors at elementary schools of different sizes during the preparatory week. This thesis presents an analysis based on the daily time schedule, an analysis of documents, interviews and analysis activities of director of elementary school in the preparatory week, respectively, and which activities are further delegated to other persons. Finally, the thesis also provides recommendations on how to effectively plan and lay out a preparatory week from the perspective of the director of elementary school.
Time frame of elementary school principals

Abstracts: This bachelor's thesis concerns the technique intended to determine the distribution of individual activities during the day. This analytic technique is known as the "time frame". In this thesis, the technique is described not only theoretically, including the short overview about the alternative managers' techniques resulting with the better effectivity of elementary school principals' work. The thesis contains also a demonstration of practical research. Having the form of a special questionnaire, the time frames of a few elementary school principals are identified and processed, including the part of their personal time, i. e. not within the working hours. The proposed procedures should protect against the time thieves, as well as increase the effectivity of daily working habits of the elementary school principal. This thesis shows the interconnection of individual managers' techniques with time management field and brings inspiration to elementary school principals on how to use their time more effectively.
Primary School Head Teacher and His Professional Role Adaptation Process

The current thesis deals with proces od adaptation of headmasters in its working position. In the theoretical part is focused on the presentation of the school as a system, the specifics of education system and its management, the actual work of heads of schools and the process of adaptation of headmasters. In the practical part I focused on the beginning of the headmasters career, and the process of adaptation of the headmasters on the professional role. I was looking for phenomena that are typical start headmaster career, how they affect the process of adaptation but also the rest of the headmaster career. To obtain the necessary data, I chose a qualitative research, namely the form of interviews that I conducted with ten directors of elementary schools in Praha and in Kraj Vysočina. Irena Lhotková, PhD ABSTRACT: This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of effective communication in the area of the relationship between the school canteen manager and the primary school headmaster, in a situation where the school canteen operates under the auspices of the primary school organization. Under this arrangement, communication between two disparate environments arises which places considerable strain on the communicating parties and puts special demands on their communication skills, in particular on the part of the primary school headmaster. The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to answer the following questions: What are the key common areas of this communication, if any? What is the optimum frequency of mutual communication? Which communication channels are the most frequently used ones in this internal communication? The collected materials and evaluation of results have been summarized at the end of the thesis into a brief recommendation, a simple manual that might serve as the basis for developing or enhancing effective communication in the given area.
