Situation of German population in Teplice-Šanov Regarding the Transfer of Germans from the Czechoslovak Republic.
Maříková, Jana ; Míšková, Alena (advisor) ; Nováková, Tamara (referee)
This thesis uses archive materials to map the post-war situation of German population in a Czechoslovak district of Teplice-Šanov. Before the war, the German population made for more than 70% of the total population of this borderline area. In 1947 it was only about 7%. In the first months after the end of the war, 27,000 - 34,000 of German nationals were banished from the area. In the following transfers 29,487 were forced out between February and August of 1946. More Germans continued to leave the country after the regular transfers in additional transports up until 1950. Only some specific groups of German speaking inhabitants were permitted to stay in Czechoslovakia - antifascists, Austrians, German experts, people living in mixed marriages, some of the German clergy, and those who were pardoned. In Teplice-Šanov it was a considerably large group of specialists (especially in the field of mining) who remained. The issue of repopulating the regions affected by the expulsion of Germans is also addressed. Settlers from inland, other borderline areas, Slovakia and from abroad came to the Teplice-Šanov district. The total number of newcomers in May 1947 was 47,402. This thesis uses an actual example of one district to illustrate the complexity of post-war situation. The analysis of the stance of...
Influence of Reduction of Habitat Suitability Curves on Aquatic Habitat Suitability
Doláková, Gréta ; Macura, Viliam ; Škrinár, Andrej ; Čistý, Milan
Previous research into the aquatic monitoring of microhabitat fish preferences in Slovakia contains detailed valuable hydro-morphological, topographic, and ichthyological measurements for complex analysis. Consequent hydrological modeling of the database compares biotic parameters, represented by habitat suitability curves, and abiotic parameters of streams, to investigate the fish preferences of aquatic microhabitats. The research discusses an option if subsequent influence of reduction of habitat suitability curves on aquatic habitat suitability is justified to improve methodology of habitat assessment by regression model. The research creates an optimal regression relationship to determine the degree of habitat suitability curves reduction on mountain and piedmont streams in Slovakia.
The role of apoptosis in patients with coronary artery disease
Teringová, Elena ; Toušek, Petr (advisor) ; Málek, Filip (referee) ; Pařenica, Jiří (referee)
in English language Background: Apoptosis plays an important role in the myocardial injury after acute myocardial infarction and in the subsequent development of heart failure. Aim: To clarify serum kinetics of apoptotic markers TRAIL and sFas and their relation to left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI). Methods: In 101 patients with STEMI treated with pPCI, levels of TRAIL and sFas were measured in series of serum samples obtained during hospitalization and one month after STEMI. LVEF was assessed at admission and at one-month. Major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE - i.e. death, re-MI, hospitalisation for heart failure and stroke) were analysed during a two-year follow-up. Results: Serum level of TRAIL significantly decreased one day after pPCI (50.5pg/mL) compared to admission (56.7pg/mL), subsequently increased on day 2 after pPCI (58.8pg/mL) and reached its highest level at one month (70.3pg/mL). TRAIL levels on day 1 and 2 showed a significant inverse correlation with troponin and a significant positive correlation with LVEF at baseline. Moreover, TRAIL correlated significantly with LVEF one month after STEMI (day 1: r=0.402, p<0.001, day 2: r=0.542, p<0.001). On...
Temporal Development Of Relative Ablation Of Plastics In Miniature Circuit Breaker During Switching Process
Simek, David
The paper is focused on an ablation of plastic materials in contact with an electric arc inside the electrical apparatus during the switching process. It is possible to obtain temporal development using method based on optical emission spectroscopy. The emission spectra were taken during the switching process. The hydrogen alpha spectral line of Balmer series was used as an indicator for evaluating of plastics ablation. Complications connected with the measurements are discussed. The main part of the paper deals with a temporal development of relative concentration of a hydrogen in plasma inside the miniature circuit breaker. Atomic spectral lines database of National Institute of Standards and Technology was used as a spectral data source for evaluation.

Voleský, Kryštof ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Title: The analysis of risk factors for tendinopathy in runners Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out the most important risk factor for development of Achilles tendinopathy, detect the most relevant diagnostic approach with preventive monitoring for Achilles tendinopathy and evaluate the best treatment for Achilles tendinopathy in runners. Methods: The diploma thesis is in form of literary review. The Scopus, PubMed and Web of science databases were used to search for studie using a combination of keywords. A total of 1084 titles were identified. Due to duplicates 402 titles were excluded. On the basis of the name of the article 51 titles were included. On the basis of the availability 50 titles were included. On the basis of the abstract 46 titles were included. Finally 29 titles were included in this review. Results: The most important risk factor for development of Achilles tendinopathy was training intensity for distances 1500-3000 m, week running volume >65 km or being new to running. The most relevant diagnostic approach for Achilles tendinopaty was clinical examination assessing pain (Achilles tendon pain, positive palpation test) and function (pain during physical aktivity) of Achilles tendon. This approach serves as indication for sonographic assessment of Achilles tendon...

Detection of closure of chamber doors for an electron scanning microscope
Obšitník, Michal ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Nešpor, Dušan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design a suitable sensor for the detection of the chamber door position in an electron scanning microscope when the pressure in the vacuum chamber is changed and a control program is assembled to the selected sensor. The detected motion is within one millimeter. In the first part, the work is aimed at getting acquainted with the principle of functioning of the electron scanning microscope and with the basic types of sensors for position and mechanical force detection. Subsequently, the sensors are compared according to three basic categories: price, range, and resistance to external influences. Selected theory-based sensors are tested to exclude inappropriate sensors from use. After testing, the Interlink FSR-402 resistance sensor is selected. The scheme is connected to the sensor and the operation control program is created. The result of this work is a force sensing sensor, which is triggered by the pressure of chamber door on the chamber wall when creating a vacuum and a control program that controls the results measured from the sensor and adjusts them as required.
Výskyt a biologické vlastnosti Cryptosporidium avian genotyp III
ZIKMUNDOVÁ, Veronika
The diversity of Cryptosporidium spp. in captive parrots were studied. Faecal samples of pet birds from Psittaciformes were screened for the presence of Cryptosporidium by microscopy and sequencing of the small-subunit rRNA, actin and 70 kDa heat shock protein genes. Cryptosporidium infections were detected in 27 of 402 Psittaciformes. Cryptosporidium avian genotype III as the most prevalent Cryptosporidium (22), while C. baileyi (4) and C. avium (1) were detected in four, respectively two cases. Cryptosporidium avian genotype III was infectious for cockatiels under experimental conditions, with prepatent period of six days post-infection (DPI), but not for budgerigars, chickens or SCID mice. Experimentally infected cockatiels remained infection for the duration of the study (30 DPI), with an infection intensity ranging from 4,000 to 30,000 oocysts per gram (OPG). Naturally infected cockatiels shed oocysts with an infection intensity ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 OPG. Cryptosporidium avian genotype III infects the proventriculus and ventriculus, and oocysts measure 7.4×5.8 m. None of the birds, infected with Cryptosporidium avian genotype III, developed clinical signs. Genetic and biological data support the establishment of avian genotype III as separate species of the genus Cryptosporidium and we propose the name Cryptosporidium proventriculi sp. n.
New Methodology Of Parkinsonic Dysgraphia Analysis By Online Handwriting Using Fractional Derivatives
Mucha, Ján
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most frequent neurodegenerative disorder. One typical hallmark of PD is disruption in execution of practised skills such as handwriting. This paper introduces a new methodology of kinematic features calculation based on fractional derivatives applied on PD handwriting. Discrimination power of basic kinematic features (velocity, acceleration, jerk) was evaluated by classification analysis (using support vector machines and random forests). For this purpose, 37 PD patients and 38 healthy controls were enrolled. In comparison to results reported in other works, we proved that FDE in online handwriting analysis brings promising improvements. The best result of multivariate analysis was achieved with 83:89% classification accuracy in combination with 5 features using only one handwriting task (overlapped circles). This study reveals an impact of fractional derivatives based features in analysis of Parkinsonic dysgraphia.
