The Macro-finance Model of the Czech Economy
Urbánková, Jana ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor) ; Cahlík, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis introduces the macro-finance model of the Czecheconomy by setting the VAR model, which includes components representing theyield curve estimatedwithin theNelson-Siegel framework. The thesis contributes to the current streamof researchby including both the policy interest rateand the interbank interest rateas endogeneous variables in the VAR model, which allows for differentiation between monetarypolicy shocks and shocks to interbank rates. The above-mentioned model then serves as a frameworkfor analyzing interactions betweenfinancial and macroeconomicvariables in the period from 2000 to 2015. The thesis pays special attention to theperiod 2008-2013 and shows that the introduction of the FX commitment in November 2013 had a significant positive effect on GDP and inflation within 12 months after the introduction of the FX commitment. The thesis concludes that exchangeratemovements affectedalmost uniformly short-term and long-terminterest rates, and thus the yield curve slope stayed largelyunaffected by exchangeratemovements.

Apoptóza mononukleárnych buniek a makrofágov mliečnej žľázy hovädzieho dobytka
Bátik, Andrej
This bachelor thesis is aimed on apoptosis of mononuclear cells and macrophages in bovine mammary gland. The first part is about mononuclear cells. Monocytes can quickly migrate from blood to tissue and differentiate to macrophages. Macrophages are professional phagocytes. They have significant role in immunity respond. These cells react on every antigen and they remove source of this antigen and also remove old and unuseful cells. Next part is about apoptosis. Apoptosis as known as programed cell death. In this part is described morphology, biochemistry and genetics of programed cell death. Apoptosis is completely natural way of dying, without it live cannot exist. Bovine mammary gland is often attacked by staphylococcus and other bacteria. Result of these attacks is in most cases mastitis, inflammatory disease. Mastitis causes serious health danger for cows also causes economical and finance lost in dairy farms. Thesis describes understanding of these processes in order to improve knowledge and battle against inflammatory diseases.

Čapková, Halka ; Přikrylová, Jana (advisor) ; Zamykalová, Miroslava (referee) ; Lošťáková, Hana (referee) ; Svobodová, Šárka (referee)
I focused my dissertation on the marketing strategies used by Czech subsidiaries of international pharmaceutical firms. There were two main aims of my dissertation. Firstly, to characterize the nature of the pharmaceutical industry, differentiate it clearly from consumer goods industries and identify how these differences influence the marketing strategy used. To reach this goal I used desk research. Secondly, I carried out primary research among 46 large international pharmaceutical firms that run subsidiaries in the Czech Republic. The main aims were to find out what marketing strategy they use (global, modified global, regional, local, or a combination of these), how and where it is created, how it is financed, whether they prefer the promotion of the company name or of individual brands and what communication channels they use.

Analysis of revenues from value added tax.
Sádovský, Martin ; Láchová, Lenka (advisor) ; Matějka, Václav (referee)
This work is aimed on analyses of revenues from value added tax. These revenues are very important in public finance. The main goal of this work is to define independent variables of revenues and to create models for prediction revenues. For achieving this goal, it is used theory of tax revenues and mathematical - statistical methods of regression analysis and method of comparison. At first set the variables that affect the amount of revenues, then create equation for estimating revenues and eventually these predictions are verified on real data. Independent variable affecting revenues are GDP, GDP growth and tax rate. The best model for prediction is model based on GDP growth and difference in tax rate. We use method of comparison for searching conclusions in differences between tax duty and tax revenues. Tax duty is always higher than tax revenues. The uncollected tax revenues were in the values 6 - 22 mld. CZK. The final section search changes in the structure of tax duty in the years 2005 - 2012.

Yellowhammer as a model species for studies on passerine dialects
Diblíková, Lucie ; Petrusková, Tereza (advisor) ; Procházka, Petr (referee)
Even though birdsongs and bird dialects have been subject to considerably intense scientific research, the domain of bird dialects is still worth attention of scientists. There is a large number of hypotheses about the emergence of bird dialects which separately or combined explain their origin. Dialects can be classified on the basis of the structure of a birdsong which they are related to or according to a geographical scale (micro and macrodialects). Research on bird dialects belongs to such type of studies that require great amount of data and thus large amount of time and finance is needed. Nonetheless, this obstacle can be avoided by involving general public into the research, however choosing a suitable model species is necessary. Yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella), which was chosen in this study, is undoubtedly a convenient species for its common occurrence and distinguishable birdsong. Yellowhammer males sing during a large part of the season and their dialects can be easily recognized. Moreover, some scientists differentiate between macrodialects, that should be divided across western and eastern Europe, and could be used to make the research more attractive for general public. Till now yellowhammer dialects have been thoroughly explored in Denmark and in some parts of Germany, but in other...

Analýza investiční činnosti vybraného podniku
ŠANDA, Ondřej
An idea of this diploma work is to describe a process of investment decision and capital budgeting in theoretical and practical way. A calculation of capital expenditures and mainly a prediction of financial incomes is considered as the most important phase of whole process. The calculated figures of capital expenditures and financial revenue serve for evaluation of certain investment. There is a lot of methods for evaluation of investments. They differentiate from each other by taking various factors like effects of investment into consideration. Few of them also calculate time, few of them not. Net present value, internal rate of return and payback period belong among the most used methods. The choice of way of investment financing is the next very important step. There is a lot of possibilities of investment financing. It usually depends on position and financial background of a company. It is necessary to decide, which financial source is the best and optimal for certain company. Recently, it is possible to use a support from funds of Europe Union. It is very administravely difficult to gain this grant, but it´s very lucrative source for companies because it can cover majority of initial investment and moreover it´s non-reversible. Key words: investment decision and capital budgeting, net present value, internal rate of return, payback period

NECHVÁTALOVÁ, Daniela
The employment is for all the people certain degree of integration into society. It is existential security, certain degree of independence, personal development, social contact and responsibility for them. Therefore even for one with disability it is important to have a possibility to integrate into the working process and to find the job at labour market. Whereas the last explorations show that the Czech Republic has more than one million people with disability, it is needed to deal with issue of their job. The target of the task was to find out which possibilities the people with disability have at labour market in Písek town and to find the answer for research question if they have the interest for this job. The research specimen was formed from five people with mental disability and five people with disability who already have the experience on labour market. The theoretical part is focused on the explanation of some key concepts in this sphere and closer acquaintance with the issue of disabled people employing including legislative of the Czech Republic. It also closer the organisations which deal with employing of disabled people in Písek town. For the investigation it was used qualitative research strategy, method of interrogation data acquisition with the interview technique according to my instruction. The data was processed through interview content analysis. The results showed the disabled people have interest to work. The different reasons head them for this. The reasons are finance, contact with the people and to short long time. The preferences of these reasons are different for the people with mental disable and for the people with disability. As a reason of job hunting for the people with mental disable who are not loaded existential concern is mostly to short long time. On the contrary the most common reason which was stated is finance for the people with disability. The result of the survey is finding that the people with mental disability have mostly only one chance to find the job on protected labour market, whilst the use probability on free and protected labour market is balanced for disabled people. The research results confirmed that the education is one of important assumption to get the job. The people with mental disability are disadvantaged beside disabled people in this regard. Their given layout mostly disallows them to enhance skills and their chance to get the job is lower. During the job finding the disabled people encounter on various complications. The complications relate to kind of their disability, education, insufficient know-how from disabled people and from potential employer and also from still persistent prejudices in relation to disabled people. There are still bigger the possibilities to get the job for disabled people. Due to these persistent circumstances of Labour office and non-profit organisations there are the possibilities to get the job for disabled people constantly higher. The conclusion of the task stated that it is not possible to regard the disabled people as a one homogeneous group. The problem during the getting work for the disabled people is insufficient know-how about their rights and also low employment awareness about the advantage and disadvantage of disabled people employing.

Government Export Support: A Comparative Study of European Post-Communist Countries
Pšenáková, Lucia ; Janda, Karel (advisor) ; Martišková, Monika (referee)
To the best of our knowledge, this bachelor thesis is the first one to analyse official state promotion in all four Visegrad countries. Similar development of those economies in transition period after the fall of Communism is described; their extremely fast and sucessful reorientation towards Western markets is emphasized. Nowadays each government in the region implements its own export strategy. We could observe a mutual understanding of importance of state export support, nevertheless, very different priority territories for export. Further in the thesis we analyse export credit agencies - organisa- tions promoting export projects under more favourable conditions with state guarantees. Firstly we compare theoretical advantages and disadvantages of different forms of export credit agencies. Then we apply data from inter- national trade on gravity equation and we conclude that the most effective type of export credit agency in Visegrad Four region is clearly an organisa- tion operating in the form of an insurance company. Other forms such as a bank and an institution providing both insurance and financing facilities are insufficiently effective. We show that smaller distance and higher GDP also increase the amount of export.

First two chapters describe the support of export itself, define the legislative framework of the support and offer an overview of the character and the position of export in the context of national economies. The next part of the work consists of the description of export promotion policy in both countries from the perspective of the current export strategic framework and institutional background. The main part is the comparison which is realized on the basis of selected types of instruments for export promotion (financing support, credit guarantee and insurance, indirect instruments of support). The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find and assess analogical and differential elements of the mechanisms of state support for export.

Rychlík, Jan ; Raková, Svatava (advisor) ; Korytová Magstadt, Štěpánka (referee)
In the course of the American Civil War, in four occupied southern states loyal civil gov ernments were established and in three other states at least attempts at reconstruction took place. The master thesis "Lincoln's Reconstruction west of the Mississippi River: Restoration of loyal civil gov ernments in Arkansas and Louisiana, 1862-1865" treats the process of wartime reconstruction of the Union in accordance within recent historiography that disputes revisionist accounts of the topic. The thesis argues that the President held to his moderate vision throughout the Civil War and did not de part from it in favour of radical conceptions by the end of the conflict. Lincoln's policy was practical, opposed to dogmatic, purpose approach of his radical fellow partisans. Two case studies of reconstruction on the state level are to show that the presidential policy was a proper one. The peculiarities of each state asked for differentiated handling. Louisiana and Arkansas were chosen for their abysmally different social, economic and political features yet common war experience. In terms of wealth, density of population, and share of slaves in its number, Louisiana and Arkansas were situated on opposite extremes of the scale. Like the other states of Lower South, Louisiana seceded in January 1861, while the Upper...
