The evolution of mobile internet technology and its impact on users in the Czech Republic
Sochor, Filip ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Egressy, Adam (referee)
This thesis deals with the development of mobile internet connection technology, focusing on users in the Czech Republic. The main goal is to map out the current situation regarding mobile internet connection to the internet, research the preferences and usage of users, and respond to the question of whether local telecommunications providers meet the expectations of customers from the viewpoint of usage of the newest mobile technology, offer of services and overall availability. The chosen issue is addressed in both the theoretical and practical sections of this thesis. The first part concerns the development of mobile technology, their availability and the end user usage possibilities with all the benefits and drawbacks. Availability is used in the sense of coverage throughout the Czech Republic and the utilisation of frequency bands. The theoretical section further contains information about the Czech mobile market and a comparison of telecommunications operators with a picture of their overall coverage in the Czech Republic. These details were taken from specialist publications, publically available sources and on the basis of direct communication with the technical departments of Czech telecommunications operators Vodafone and T-Mobile. The second section looks into satisfaction, usability and utilisation of mobile internet connections through comparisons, SWOT analysis and a survey/questionnaire. The practical section confirms how Czech users behave and how much time they spend on the internet on mobile devices. The collection of data was undertaken during a period of six months (Quarter 4 2015 and Quarter 1 2016). The result of the practical section is determining user satisfaction with the readiness of services in terms of optimizing the content and range of information, services and entertainment, or supporting applications using Internet connection; and further to this, when and for what purposes the connections are used. All of this is separated into gender and age divisions with the purpose of showing the diversity of user focus. This thesis can be used by mobile and virtual mobile operators for their own purposes as a reflection of the current situation in the Czech Republic, and also by specialists focused on the opportunities for the utilisation of mobile internet connections in terms of its current state and predicted evolution.

The gender differences were examined too. The questionnaire used for this research was made specially for this bachelor theses and was built on basic knowledge from theoretical part. Statistic data processing was made in the Statistica 12 program and we used Mann-Whitney test and Contingency table. At the beginning 13 hypotheses were set up and in the end five of them was confirmed. In discussion there are reasons and limits of research analyzed.
The Family from the Viewpoint of Several Generations
SLOBODOVÁ, Lenka
Nowadays family stuff is one of the most biting topics to talk about. That situates us to next cut-off point, where traditional family slowly disappears. Modern family has too much variability, directions and instability we could not foresee what structure it could have in upcoming decades. Family is a headstone of our society these days, as it was in the past but its basic values have changed. Preferences of marriage rate have decreased and a new trend is coming up to our society - cohabitation. Most of young people are hanging out a marriage until they have their first child. Few couples hang out a marriage a bit longer or they don't plan it at all. Young generation doesn't see any pros in being married and from that reason they prefer cohabitation. My main goal was to find out opinions on marriage and cohabitation of three different age categories. Other goals were to find out reasons why young people tend to decrease marriage rate and why a new trend of cohabitation appears. The last goal I had was to find out if young people want to get married in their future. The other two age categories were likely involved because of reasoning of their marriage and cohabitation opinions. My work consists of theoretical and also practical part. The theoretic one is set to family. I engage with a meaning of a term "family" and its definition and I describe there function and functionality of it. I also described marriage and cohabitation in a view of historical progress. I tried to chalk out changes which appeared in relationships and which lead to choice of marriage or cohabitation. In practical part I compared opinions of three generations on marriage and cohabitation. My research proceeded by introduction to question blank, quantitative research and by asking method. The researched group consisted of three generations with different age: 18-30 years (young generation), 47-59 years (middle generation) and 70-80 years (elder generation). Overall 552 respondents took part in my research. 278 respondents were in age interval of 18-30 years, 138 respondents were in age interval of 47-59 years and 136 respondents were in age interval of 70-80 years. The results are in showed in numbers and percentage. Data processing was made with graphs and tables as well. For achieving my goal I specified two hypotheses. Second hypothesis was approved, but the first hypothesis was refuted. The results demonstrate that young people see a trying of cohabitation and late marriage as an ideal relationship. Simultaneously their marriage should be after their first child. The majority of respondents live with boy- or girlfriend. According to young generation a marriage has still its own place in society and also verifies choice of partner for a mutual life. Ideal relationship for a middle generation is trying of cohabitation at first with a marriage later with preferring of marriage instead of living without it. Most of respondents in this group are married. Marriage verifies choice of partner for a mutual life for them and still has its place in society. This generation also doesn't deprecate cohabitation, those people tolerate it. For the elder generation marriage is top as well in the ideal mutual life as in their lives. Fort those people marriage verifies choice of partner for a mutual life and is also important for raising children. Elder generation mostly doesn't agree with cohabitation but doesn't deprecate it at all. One of my questions was directed on child, whether it's better for it to be born to marriage or not. All of the three generations answered nearly the same; child should be born to marriage. From the number of all 552 respondents 357 answered this.

Selected deficits in intergenerational social workers interaction with clients in different age categories.
BICANOVÁ, Lenka
Abstract This thesis dealt with selected deficits of intergenerational interaction between social workers and drug addicted clients in various age categories. In the intergenerational interaction there appear deficits which give rise to intergenerational conflicts. These deficits may be different stereotypes, preconceived opinions, values of different generations and more (30). The aim of this thesis was to describe the intergenerational differences in supporting clients with drug addiction and a social worker, who has a specific capture of clients' experience. The theoretical part was focused on the description of the term social work, its objectives and mission. It further included a description of the social worker, his skills, communication skills, values and typology of different approaches, explaining the concept generation, interaction, intergenerational conflicts and their causes and symptoms. In my work I used the method of qualitative research. Furthermore I used the method of questioning, which included semi-structured interviews. I have carried out the research in the psychiatric hospital Červený Dvůr with six respondents. The surveyed sample was controlled, which means the selection criteria were known in advance and therefore independent of the results (23). The research group consisted of six alcohol addicted patients, three of them cooperated with a social worker of the same generation, and three of them worked with a social worker of the older generation. The results were evaluated using the method of open coding. It revealed from my research that the intergenerational interaction deficits occur in the social work with drug addicts. There were some discrepancies that were not only intergenerational in nature, but have a different origin. Some respondents agreed that they cooperate better with the same generation, while others said they prefer to work with someone older and more experienced. One respondent on the other hand expressed his mistrust in the young generation and wanted to work with an older social worker only, in whom he had much more confidence. For some respondents a significant role played characteristics, personal traits and the overall attitude of the social worker. It was important for them that the social worker was nice, understood them, was trying to help them, treated them according to their needs and showed them the respect and esteem. In some cases it could play an important role that the client dealt with the same sex and therefore he better understood the person. For another person it could be better to talk with someone of the opposite sex, with whom he dealt much better, because in his life he is more surrounded by people of the opposite sex and he understands them better. The results showed that all these features play a key role in the cooperation of a social worker and a drug addict client. For more effective cooperation between social workers and drug alcohol addicted clients I would recommend that the social workers care more about their clients and their needs. They can ask the clients for example with which age group they would prefer to deal, with whom they would work better and by whom they would rather welcome the help. I would recommend this research as a study material for the improvement of the social work with drug addicted clients.
Social, economic and socio-cultural aspects of CouchSurfing phenomenon
Kolišová, Anna ; Tyslová, Irena (advisor) ; Dianová, Markéta (referee)
The Bachelor thesis on "Social, economic and socio-cultural aspects of CouchSurfing phenomenon" is dedicated to the contemporary trends in tourism and refers especially to the young generation and its current needs in context of travelling. These trends are considered as quite similar to the phenomenon called CouchSurfing, the biggest social network connecting travellers from all around the world, and everything this phenomenon represents. The primary aim of this work is not by any means a comprehensive description of CouchSurfing itself, but an effort to place that phenomenon into a proper context of all social, economic or socio-cultural aspects of the project (mainly focusing on questions why was CouchSurfing established and what it actually brings or influences).
Perception of the seniors by generation in age from 15 to 50 years
ABRMANOVÁ, Adéla
I have compiled a diploma thesis "Perceptions of senior citizens by the generation aged 15 to 50 years." I am going to introduce this thesis in brief. I consider this topic as very up-to-date, which the whole of our society is concerned about. And this will become more important with the continuing population aging and the changing financial situation of the state. Currently, there has been discussion about views and attitudes of young people, who consider the seniors to be a burden on the country's economy and society. Young people think that seniors live at their expense. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part in individual chapters the current situation and basic terms concerning the issue are introduced. The state of seniorhood is explained, the status of seniors in society and family in the past and today is described. The issues of aging and changes in human behavior after retirement are dealt with. Everything what may influence society´s perception is described. Intergenerational conflict and solidarity between individual generations are dealt with. In the practical part, I conducted a research survey in the generation 15-50 years of age, the aim of which was to identify the views of young people on seniors. The results of the questionnaire survey were assessed, processed and put into the practical part. My own results were compared and discussed with other authors. I selected two objectives of the thesis. The main objective of my thesis was to study and clearly process the given issue. The other objective was to determine real relationships between younger generations and seniors, the views, opinions and attitudes of younger generations to seniors and to old age in general and to process the results in order to get a survey accessible and well arranged for the use of the general public. To obtain the data, I used the questionnaire method. The thesis could serve as professional literature, the issue of the relationship between young and older generations is compiled comprehensively. This thesis could bring benefits to society as a whole. It should be read by all members of society, who may find in this manner a lot of new information and interesting views, based on which they could change their opinions and views about the senior generation. The thesis would contribute to the promotion of intergenerational solidarity, which, in my opinion, is present in society, but gradually begins to fade away.
