Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Total Endoprothesis of Hip Název: Kazuistika fyzioterapeutické péče o pacienta s diagnózou totální endoprotéza kyčelního kloubu Summary The abstract of my study concerns the treatment of the case of a patient who had an operation of total endoprothesis of hip on the right hip joint, caused by osteoarthritis. My practice was performed at Ústřední Vojenská Nemocnice. My Bachelor Thesis is divided in two parts: 1) Theoretical part 2) Practical part. The first part is the theoretical one which consists of a brief description of the anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the hip which helps for better understanding of the mechanism of total endoprothesis of hip. Additionally, description of the osteoarthritis which caused the operation is mentioned. Also there is information about every detail related to total endoprothesis of hip. On the other most important part of this thesis, the second part is the practical one which includes the anamnesis and the kinesiologic examinations of the patient, after total endoprothesis of hip caused by osteoarthritis. Title: Effect of physiotherapy to reduce the length of hospital stay in patients with total hip arthroplasty: a literature review Objective: The purpose of this thesis is to research and compare available studies investigating the effect of extra physiotherapy in reducing the length of stay for patients with total hip arthroplasty. In addition, to make a compilation of available sources about issue of the hip, total hip arthroplasty in terms of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics and length of hospital stay. Methods: This diploma thesis has descriptively-analytical character and is structured in the form of literary review. Results: Physiotherapy decreases length of stay in patients with total hip arthroplasty. Future research could address a specific group of subjects and the issue of cost-effectiveness in reducing the length of hospital stay by physiotherapy. Title: Case interpretation of physiotherapeutic care of the patient with diagnosis Coxarthrosis l. sin Summary: The topic of the bachelor thesis is case interpretation of the patient with diagnosis coxarthrosis, which arose as a consequence of hip dysplasia. The general theoretic part describes anatomy and physiology of the hip joint including the decription of total endoprosthesis hip implant, which is proven method of surgical solution of diseases and defects of hip joint. Characteristics of the coxarthrosis disease follows, it includes pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostics and possibilities of therapeutic processes. The theoretic part also mentiones congenital development defect of hip dysplasia, which is described in terms of etiology, clinical examination, division of congenital hip dysplasia and therapeutic process. The special part consists of case interpretation of the patient with diagnosis coxarthrosis, which arose as a consequence of hip dysplasia. It was was treated by total endoprosthesis of the hip joint. After the surgical solution regular physiotherapeutic care follows. In conclusion the chosen physiotherapy effect is evaluated. Case Study of a physiotherapy treatment of a patient after total hip replacement

The bachelor's thesis consists of two parts. The general part includes anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint and also the topic of coxarthrosis as the most common reason for the total hip replacement surgery. An integral part of this part is the elaboration of a rehabilitation plan for patients undergoing such procedure. The practical part of the thesis is conceived a case study of a patient after total hip replacement because of coxarthrosis. Finally, the thesis includes the therapeutic outcome as the therapy efficiency is evaluated through the comparison of the input and output kinesiology analysis.
Ensuring follow-up care for patients after endoprosthesis bearing joints

The present study is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with anatomy of thehip andknee joint, in the next part there is definition of endoprosthesis as well as historical development of endoprosthesis. Subsequently, different types of endoprosthesis, surgery equipment and possible complications after surgery are described. It is followed by nursing care and rehabilitation including spa treatment. The theoretic part is concluded with revision of the joint. The practical part of the master thesis has been elaborated from the qualitative survey. The survey was conducted with the respondents who underwent endoprosthesisof the knee or hip joint and with the nurses working at regular orthopaedic department or orthopaedic intensive care unit (ICU). The interviews were afterwards transcribed and elaborated by means of the technique of open coding with the method "pencil and paper". 16 categories and 48 subcategories emerged from the data processed in this manner.
Case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of patient after triple osteotomy of pelvis

This bachelor's thesis is focused on summary of theoretical knowledge and selected therapy in cases of triple osteotomy of pelvis. It contains two parts. First (theoretical) part of the work includes information about anatomy, kinesiology and examination of pelvis girdle, pelvis and hip joint, theory about congenital dysplasia of the hip, the treatment and physiotherapeutic methods after triple osteotomy of pelvis. Second (special) part of this thesis contains detailed case study of the patient after Steel's triple osteotomy of pelvis. This case report was written on the basis of the practical experience in Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu in Prague from 9th January to 3th February 2012.
Validiation of walking tests in patients with coxarthrosis

Práce posuzuje možnosti využití chůzových testů u pacientů s koxartrózou. Na skupině třiceti pacientů se třetím stupněm koxartrózy kyčelního kloubu bylo provedeno měření pěti různých testů: dotazník Harris Hip Score, Timed Up And Go Test (TUG), Ten Meter Walk Test - desetimetrový test chůze (10MWT), Two Minute Walk Test - dvouminutový test chůze (2MWT) a Six Minute Walk Test - šestiminutový test chůze (6MWT). Následně byly porovnány výsledky jednotlivých testů a zjištěny jejich specifické výpovědní vlastnosti. Cílem studie bylo zjistit jejich vzájemné souvislosti, limity v použití, případně navrhnout jejich úpravu a doporučit cílové skupiny pacientů pro jednotlivé druhy testů. Během měření a při zpracování studie byly zjištěny statisticky významné skutečnosti, pomocí kterých by bylo možné zpřesnit hodnocení kvality terapie a zvýšit efektivitu vyšetřování pacientů s koxartrózou. Byla prokázána shodná výpovědní hodnota testu 2MWT ve srovnání s delšími testy (6MWT) a také výhody provedení testu TUG, jako zdroje doplňujících informací k vyšetření pomocí dotazníku Harris a běžných chůzových testů.
