Simultaneous transmission of photonic services in fibre optics
Látal, Michal ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis focuses on simultaneous transmission of selected photonic services by one single-mode optical fiber. The thesis deals with the problem of common transmission of multiple photonic services by one optical fiber using the wavelength division multiplex technology. Furthermore, the origin and influence of nonlinear phenomena accompanying the simultaneous transmission of photonic services are described. Except common data transmission with a bitrate of 10 Gbit/s, a common high-speed data signal transmission with a bitrate of 200 Gbit/s, accurate time transmission and high-power sensor signal are considered. During the aimultaneous transmission of selected photonic services, the measurement of the transmission parameters was performed for various variants of the simultaneous transmission arrangement. In particular, the influence of nonlinear phenomena and possible mutual interference of individual transmission channels at 50 and 100 GHz between signals was analyzed.
Measurement of Isolated Cardiac Muscle Cell Lenght in real time
Klabal, Petr ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the basic description of cardiac muscle cells, the mechanism of its contraction and events associated with contractions. There are different types of methods which can be used for measuring of contractions and for evaluation of cell length. This work describe these methods and evaluate their pros and cons. Based on available information and technical possibilities is one of the methods chosen and used for the design of block diagram system for measuring of contraction of isolated heart cells in real time. The practical part of this diploma thesis deals with the designing of a system which allows processing the image of isolated cardiac muscle cells that facilitate the detection of the cells edge. For this purpose it was created a device that allows the user to select a single row from television signal containing the image information from a location where is the currently selected row. Thus obtained image information can be used for cells edge detection and measuring of its length and contractions.
Methods of ignition spark gaps
Pekárek, Dominik ; Štěpánek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of spark gap ignition. The thesis describes spark gap ignition by external electrode, by Rogowski electrode and by lasers. Advantages and disadvantages of these methods are also discussed. In the final part of the thesis there is described experiment with high voltage spark gap.
Settings of parameters PID controllers with using boths Ziegler - Nichols methods
Bulenínec, Martin ; Burlak, Vladimír (referee) ; Pivoňka, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with adjusting the PID parameters with filtered derivative component and I-PD controllers. The setting is used both methods, of Ziegler and Nichols. Work explains cases of failure of this method. The problem is solved by adding the sampling period due to A/D and D/A converters. Then is searched optimally adjust the controller extension of the sampling period. For the calculation and simulation is used program MATLAB and SIMULINK .
Precision Ranging Using Ultrasound Waves
Hlaváč, Štěpán ; Dušek, Martin (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This project describes solutions of the precision rating using ultrasound waves with range measurement distance to 20 cm. It informs about basic properties of ultrasonic waves and its distribution in the environment. Selects the most appropriate methods for implementing distance meter. The document includes a proposal for block design and functional solutions to individual blocks of the device. This paper contains informations which was measured in the laboratory. The selected part of the design is simulated in PSpice program. It describes the implementation process and the precision of measurement.
Solving problems of CD and PMD in optical networks
Motúz, Rastislav ; Šifta, Radim (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to analyse dispersions which are affecting a high-speed transfer in optical systems. It is focused on chromatic – CD and polarisation mode – PMD dispersion. It is devoted to definitions, limit values, methods of measurements and compensation methods against disturbance to the final quality of transmission. The thesis is divided into the three-chapter long theoretical part and the practical part which contains two chapters. The results of the extensive experimental measurements done by CD/PMD tester – modular platform EXFO FTB-200 are stated in the practical part and partly in the Appendix too. The output of the measurement confirms the theoretical assumptions stated in the theoretical part and thus proves the aim of the thesis to be achieved.
Statical acoustical sources localization
Mikeš, Petr ; Holešinský, Pavel (referee) ; Míča, Ivan (advisor)
The microphone array can be used in many important applications. The primary usage, which most of other applications are based on, is only: acoustic sources localization and separation of each signal from their compound. The microphone array is usually included in ordinary mobile phones, where it reduces noise and sound of its surrounding that otherwise degrades vocal speech. Other microphone array utilization is in for example speech identification, speakers’ localization or signal isolation of one speaker.
Dead time LTI SISO systems approximation using generalized Laguerre functions
Zsitva, Norbert ; Tůma, Martin (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
This final thesis deals with the approximation of time delay in time invariant systems. First, the generalized Laguerre functions and their characteristics are presented. After this, the approximation of the Dirac delta function with the help of these functions is shown. Also, the choice of the free parameters is discussed and the results are evaluated with the help of energy. In the final part of the thesis, the approximations of systems with generalized and simple Laguerre functions are compared.
Possibilities of a dead-time approximation by means of generalized Laguerre functions.
Zsitva, Norbert ; Tůma, Martin (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the approximation of time delay systems. First, the ways of approximating time delay with rational functions are shown. These methods are evaluated according to the H2 and H norms. After this, the generalized Laguerre functions and means of approximating time delay with these functions are presented. In the final section of the work the previously shown methods are compared.
Seqence circuit for radioamateur transciever
Dvořák, Pavel ; Šnajdr, Václav (referee) ; Lukeš, Zbyněk (advisor)
In this paper we will deal involving short-wave radio station and its control by the sequencer. Mostly it will be a time delay of the PA and the antenna switching relay in the transmitter (TX) to receiver (RX) side. Time delays will be controlled programmatically using ATmega 16 microprocessor, which will form part of the main control sequencer. The delay will set the total time of keying in messages, when we take into account the loss due to delayed first symbol. Keying will be done from several sources, among the main sources will be ordered from keying the radio, telegraph keys, and PC. The transmission signal is used amplitude modulation (SSB) in the CB zone.
