The Swimming cetrum Brno Zidenice
Pleva, František ; ing.arch. Lukáš Ležatka, Ph.D (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Petříček, Tomáš (advisor)
The main theme of this project is a concept of the Swimming centrer in Brno—Židenice. The plot in question is extremely complex. It is located on the edge of a hillside near the Health center at Viniční, which naturally dominates the area by the shape and size of its structure. The underlying idea was to use orthogonal shapes to create a building, that would not compete with the Health center but would add up to its surroundings instead. Every single part of the project was designed to delicately fit into given terrain and surroundings. Most of the functions of the building are set on the 1st floor (e.g. locker rooms, two bars, water world and wellness). The 1st underground floor features technical services rooms. On the 2nd floor, there is only a swimming pool and a terrace with whirlpools on one part of the roof. The roof top offers an excellent view on the city of Brno. South and west facades of the pool hall are made completely out of glass. It is covered by vertical curved aluminum lamellar system. That is because of the thermal technical requirements of the building, however, it is also a dynamic piece of the facade that adds up to aesthetic finish of the building. The construction is based on a combined system of monolithic reinforced concrete columns and walls and glue laminated timber beams and frames. The roofs are compact and green. In the part above the locker rooms is intense green roof planted intensively green fully-grown greenery.
Algorithm for Calculation of Radiation View Factors
Bílek, Tomáš ; Hlavička, Rudolf (referee) ; Čermák, Libor (advisor)
This thesis deals with a calculation of radiation view factors. The thesis includes mathematical model of the problem and its numerical solution. The main aim of the thesis is the creation of an algorithm for calculation of radiation view factors for given 3D geometries and its application for the heat flux analysis. CAD models of geometries, specified by a NASTRAN file format, are used as an input of the algorithm. Matrix of radiation view factors serves then as an output of the algorithm. The algorithm is programmed in MATLAB, but STAR-CCM+ is used for the NASTRAN specification of separate models. The algorithm is also designed for a computation on a computer cluster for cases of intricate geometries with consideration of shading areas.

The main aim of this thesis is design air-conditioning system and optimization of indoor climate by solar shading. In theoretical part I focused on dividing and description off different types of solar shading. In the next part I designed suitable air-conditioning system for the open space office. The last part is first concentrating on the simulation of the indoor climate in software BSim2014. And then on evaulation of the appropriate solar shading system, whick I can use in the building.
Deferred Shading
Starý, Petr ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Jošth, Radovan (advisor)
Work deals with design and implementation a tutorial for demonstration deferred shading technique and its possibilities. It explains lighting and shading principles in intuitive and interactive way. Deferred shading is a technique which determines pixel color after the geometry rasterization of the entire scene. In other words the processing of geometry does not interfere with the shading process.
The systems of building services in immovable heritage
Maurerová, Lenka ; Vlček, Milan (referee) ; Kabele,, Karel (referee) ; Doc.Ing. Martina Peřinková, Ph.D (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The present PhD. thesis deals with the systems of building services (namely heating, ventilating and air conditioning, shading) which provide required indoor microclimate inside the immovable heritage. The work thus combines the exclusively technical field of building services (BS) and the general principles of heritage conservation. The aim of my PhD. thesis is the analysis of immovable heritage conservation processes, focusing on the current state of research and BS systems documentation. Furthermore the work concerns the possibilities of temporary measurements of indoor climate parameters inside the immovable heritage, and aims to develop a computer model (in BSim software) for the simulation of various working conditions in the selected buildings. For the stated aims were selected three representative historic houses: historical assembly hall at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology; the Palm Greenhouse at Lednice Chateau in Moravia; and Villa Tugendhat in Brno. These buildings had been surveyed for several years, and in this PhD. thesis I present their analysis, evaluation, and conclusions. The aims of this PhD. thesis broadly correspond to the transnational objectives. The present research is, for example, in accordance with the international document ICOMOS Charter (Zimbabwe, 2013) which is concerned with the analysis, conservation, and restoration of architectural heritage. The research of immovable heritage is also supported by European Union, e.g. by the Seventh Framework Programme of EU.
Interactive Building Game with OpenGL
Klepáčková, Karolína ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Tóth, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is implementation of interactive LEGO like building game using OpenGL. Aplication allows to create models using bricks which color and type can be changed. Created models can be saved or loaded. Each brick of a designed model has its own combnation of type and color. The output is number of bricks of each combination which occurs in application. This enables to realize the designed model. The final implementation is realized via C++ programming language extended with libraries.
Color correction of 3D model based on scene knowledge and light illumination
Dočkal, Michal ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Chromý, Adam (advisor)
This thesis focus is on the design and verification of improvements for the RoScan robotic system texture module. RoScan is a robotic scanner for scanning and diagnosing the human body. In this thesis current texturing module of this system is described. Furthermore this thesis describes the theory of light, color and shading in computer graphics. Subsequently, improvments for RoScan texture module are proposed based on the said principles. The last part deals with the implementation of the test script in Matlab and the verification of the functionality of the proposed solution.

Computer-aided method of analytic surfaces modelling
Stodola, Jakub ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Martišek, Dalibor (advisor)
The first part of the thesis deals with projections of points from an Euclidean space into a plane and displaying of the resulted planar points on a computer. The second part focuses on a discretization of analytically specified surfaces. This is an approximation with network points. Due to the previous part, we are able to display them on a computer. The third part is dedicated to various types of coating fillings. Finally, the software solution is added.
The indoor environment of Kindergartens in terms of Building physics requirements
Jechová, Marie ; Krupica, Roman (referee) ; Bantová, Sylva (advisor)
The thesis titled "The indoor Environment of Kindergartens in Terms of Building Physics Requirements" addresses the challenges associated with ensuring thermal comfort in the indoor environment, while simultaneously providing adequate lighting and daylighting for the classrooms of kindergartens. The thesis is structured into interconnected and complementary sections. The first section dissects the identified problem, establishes legislative requirements, outlines research methods, and defines the objectives, which will be assessed in the conclusion. This section also includes the definition of the kindergarten object in accordance with current legislation. Furthermore, the issues of lighting and daylighting are explained from the perspective of applicable laws, regulations, and standards, incorporating all necessary variables, graphs, formulas, calculations, and definitions. Similarly, subsequent chapters will elaborate on the thermal comfort of the indoor environment. The final section of the theory provides an overview of simulation and computational software tools, employed to model different scenarios, compare the current and proposed conditions, and draw conclusions for the thesis. The practical section follows, focusing on the design of window openings, shading methods, and ventilation regimes to meet the requirements for daily lighting and daylighting while adhering to the maximum indoor air temperature in line with normative requirements. Experimental measurements of essential input data for assessing the thermal stability of the indoor environment were conducted during summer months in the existing facility. In the concluding part of the thesis, conclusions will be drawn regarding the ratio of floor area of transparent parts of building envelopes to the floor area of the classrooms. This is done to ensure compliance with legislative requirements concerning both thermal and lighting comfort in the indoor environment. The conclusion also summarizes potential measures to achieve the desired parameters and outlines a prospective solution to the addressed issues.
