Nurses' approach to patients with dementia in general hospital wards
VAN HORIK, Nina
This bachelor thesis focuses on the approach of nurses to patients with dementia in standard wards. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part contains the definition of the term dementia, distionction of individual types and stages, distinction of symptoms, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapy. Furthermore, it deals with communication and attitudes towards patients with dementia and problematic behaviour stemming from the disease. In the empirical part of the thesis, the aim was to identify general nurses' approaches to patients with dementia, the factors that may influence their approach, and then compare approaches of nurses with each other. A quantative method using a non-standardised questionnaire was chosen to conduct the research. The questionnaire was used to examine the approach of nurses to patients with dementia and to their awareness of specific and modern methods used in the care of patients with dementia. The responses of respondents from four types of standard wards were then statistically analysed. The results show that neither the length of practice nor the highest educational attainment affects the approach of nurses to patients with dementia, on the contrary, what affects their approach is the type of ward. It was also found that the use of modern methods does not depend on the education of the nurses, but again on the type of ward. The results of the investigation highlight the divergent approaches of nurses to patients with dementia and what factors may influence the approach. The result of the thesis can be used to develop a seminar to inform about modern methods in the care of patients with dementia and how to communicate and treat the patients.
Výchova a výcvik asistenčních psů - přístupy a metody
LAZÁRKOVÁ, Aneta
The bachelor thesis deals with the education and training of assistance and guide dogs, especially their pretraining. For this area are most often used breeds of retrievers, purposeful crosses and to a lesser extent also shepherd breeds - especially border collies. Approaches and methods that can be used when working with these dogs are presented. The actual observation focuses on the individual stages of the pre-training of future assistance and guide dogs and describes in detail the methodology of their training. A questionnaire survey was used to analyse the success of the pre-training of 35 dogs, including an assessment of their temperament. These dogs were monitored for sex, breed, origin (with or without pass of origin), success in completing training and reasons for removal from the program. The actual progress of the pre-training was monitored and recorded for four puppies between January 2022 and completion in March 2024. These were specifically a Border Collie, a Flat Coated Retriever, a Golden Retriever and a Goldendoodle. The Golden Retriever was the most used breed for assistance and guide dog training, while the Golden Retriever was also the breed with the highest number of dogs removed from training. Only 29 % of dogs successfully completed training and were handed over. The most common reasons for removal from training were inappropriate personality traits, heart and eye findings and radiographic findings on the musculoskeletal system. Of the four puppies studied, only the Flat Coated Retriever completed complete training as an assistance dog.

Optimization Risk Modelling in GAMS
Kutílek, Vladislav ; Bednář, Josef (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using the optimization modelling software system GAMS in risk management. According to the assignment, emphasis is placed on a detailed approach to the program for those, who are interested in its use in the field of risk engineering applications. The first part of the thesis contains the knowledge to understand what the GAMS program is and what it is used for. The next part of the work provides instructions on how to download, install, activate the program and what the user interface of the program looks like. Thanks to mathematical programming, it will be explained on a project on the distribution of lung ventilators, what basic approaches may be used in risk modelling in the GAMS program on a deterministic model. The following are more complex wait-and-see models, which contains the probability parameters and here-and-now models, where we work with demand scenarios and verify whether if they meets the requirements of other scenarios or calculate costs for the highest demands. The two-stage model is also one of the here-and-now models, but it is significantly more complex in its size and range of input data, it includes additional price parameters for added or removed pieces of lung ventilators from the order.
Corporation Identity Management System Design
Nop, Dominik ; Klimeš,, Daniel (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis’ main task is development of a new variation of the corporal identity management system. Firstly, this thesis deals with theoretical knowledge related to the subject of identity management. Secondly, it analyses the current status of the identity management system in a company ABC. A plan for system improvement in this work is based on this analysis and theoretical knowledge as well. Finally, the work contains an evaluation and suggests possible improvements of the new system for the future time.
Corporate Identity and Access Management System Architecture Improvement Proposal
Nop, Dominik ; MBA, Igor Gricinko, (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The master thesis focuses on assessment of current implementation of identity management system and proposal of a new implementation to increase level of stability and information security in the company, primarily regarding the systems that process financial data. In first part, basic theoretical knowledge related to identity management systems is defined. In second part, an analysis of current system state is performed. Based on this analysis, new organizational and technical solutions are proposed to the company. Finally, an implementation project proposal as well as with risk analysis and economic evaluation is completed in the end of this thesis.

Company Identity Management Changes Proposal
Hruška, David ; Hanyk, Tomáš (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the proposal to implement changes of identity management into a particular company. In the theoretical part are the basic concepts and a detailed description of the identity management. There is also described an analysis of the current state of information security in the company, risk analysis and selection of measures to minimize the risks found. At the end of this thesis are proposed changes, their procedure and timetable for implementation of selected measures.
