Efficient use of renewable energy sources in a residential building
Burčo, Matúš ; Paluřík, Pavel (referee) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an optimization algorithm for an energy management system in apartment buildings. The thesis analyzes current technological solutions for smart home energy management, including open-source and commercial systems. It further considers the use of containerization technologies for the implementation of the algorithm in practice. The second chapter focuses on renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and hydro power and discusses methods for their efficient integration into energy systems. The third chapter describes specific system elements, such as photovoltaic panels and battery storage, in the context of a residential building. The fourth chapter describes the development of the optimization algorithm, its testing and integration with data collection and visualization platforms. The aim of the thesis is to show how the system can be used to make efficient use of the available energy resources and thus reduce the energy costs of the building.
Network probe module for industrial protocol analysis
Srovnal, Dominik ; Pospíšil, Ondřej (referee) ; Blažek, Petr (advisor)
Industrial networks are often the target of attacks, which need to be adequately responded to. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent these attacks from the outset through protection and prevention. Such protection is provided by intrusion detection and prevention systems, which are capable of preventing unwanted intrusions, based on those modules. As attacks become more and more sophisticated, it is essential that these modules are continuously developed and got proposed in new, safer measures. The theoretical part describes industrial protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 60870, Ethernet/IP and S7). The practical part focuses on the creation of a module for the analysis of the industrial protocol S7. Furthermore, the paper describes possible attacks on the S7 protocol and proposes rules for detecting these attacks using the Suricata module.
Optimizing of cyber security of Precision Time Protocol (PTP) on Ethernet for ARM based CPU
Latinovič, Borivoje ; Ištvánek, Matěj (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis provides the selection and implementation of different security protocols to be used with Precision Time Protocol (PTP). The thesis further tests the behavior of PTP under different security protocols, using an automatized measurement tool, and analyses the effect on PTP in order to determine the most optimal security protocol.
Platform for Digital Predistortion Based on RFSoC
Kříčka, Tomáš ; Maňas, Ondřej (referee) ; Král, Jan (advisor)
Signal predistortion occurs in modern communication systems and in other systems requiring linear signal amplification. The objective is to learn about signal predistortion, the QORVO 1800 MHz FDD radio front-end and to implement the front-end control using Matlab computer program. I focus on controlling individual attenuators and amplifiers on the QORVO front-end with a program written in C. Using a single board computer Raspberry Pi 4B running Linux. Furthermore, the work involves the application of a SCPI server that operates based on TCP packets. As part of the introduction to the front-end, the power characteristic of the power amplifier is measured.
Time critical applications on STM32MP157
Kouřil, Jakub ; Otava, Lukáš (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to test the viability of using processors from the STM32MP15x series to run time critical applications. Testing was performed using a STM32MP157F-DK2 discovery kit. An application for field oriented control requiring precise timing was developed for the module to test its properties. Latency in the system was measured by storing and logging timestamps during execution.
Implementation of Communication Technology complying IEC 61850 as the Demonstrational DCS System
Kozák, Ondřej ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of communication of protection by IEC 61850 standard and reading, control and visualization of protections by DCS systém 800xA and PLC AC500 from ABB and extended visualization by cloud service Grafana. The IEC 61850 standard, its protocols anad the topologies used have been descibed in this work. Furthermore, the basic functions of the instruments used were described. The main part describes the procedure of creating SCD file for communication configuration and subsequent uploading to individual systems, creating visualization in DCS 800xA system, setting up communication between protection devices and reading from them using AC 500 PLC. For the cloud service there is a description of the implementation of the MQTT broker for sending data between PLC and database Influxdb that stores the data and forwards it to Grafana visualization environment.
Linux encryptor for network traffic
Suchý, Daniel ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the possibilities of encrypting network traffic on the Linux platform. The goal is to create a virtual machine that can encrypt incoming traffic and send it to it‘s destination. Encryption of network traffic was implemented using the ip-xfrm framework in the form of encryption of the packet’s payload. The encryption algorithm chosen was AES-256 with a key generated and established using QKD. For the possibility of expanding the functionality of the encryptor for multiple clients, a VPN server was implemented on the encryptor.
Linux distribution for smart building gateway
Nagy, Tomáš ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (advisor)
The goal of the thesis was to create a Linux distribution for a smart home gateway. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part dealt with the analysis of the Linux operating system. Subsequently, single board computers are described and compared. In the next part, the gateway issues, communication protocol selection and application containerization are discussed. As a result of addressing the issue, a procedure for adding tools for home automation, the construction of scripts that automate this issue and instructions for their proper execution were proposed.
Implementation of the Selected Technology for ISP
Doležal, Martin ; Koleňák Jiří, doc. Ing. Ph.D, MBA (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The thesis focuses on implementation of selected technology within the company CPU-Kocourek, s.r.o, which provides varied internet services. Based on the theoretical part and the analysis of the current situation are proposed solutions suitable for the management of access network provider. The proposal part contains selection of the best proposal and its implementation into the routine mode of operation.
Measuring of System Load in Embedded Linux
Skopal, Jakub ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the quantities which characterize the load of the embedded systems based on the Linux kernel. The library was designed and implemented to observe the load of the system in order to facilitate and unify the observation of individual quantities and their reciprocal coherence. Due to the lack of external dependencies of the library the memory requirements are low. To demonstrate the use of the implemented library, a program was designed which depicts the graphs of measured quantities in real time on a remote computer.
