Thermal analysis of induction machine using thermal network method.
Jiroušek, Petr ; Klíma, Petr (referee) ; Světlík, Martin (advisor)
This paper deals with the thermal analysis of an induction motor. In the first part the principle of its function and possible design are discussed. The second part discusses the mechanisms of heat transfer methods, which are conduction, convection and radiation. Next chapter is devoted to the description of the thermal network method and contains the designed network for a specific induction motor. The fourth chapter includes the thermal resistance equations and their description together with a simplification of the machine geometry. The fifth key chapter defines the input parameters of the calculation and mainly the calculated temperatures of the nodes of the thermal network.
Modern Trends in Electric Machines for Road Vehicles
Michálek, Matěj ; Bílek, Vladimír (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
Within a bachelor thesis was conducted research, targeted at the history of the utilization of electric drives and the division of electrified powertrains for road vehicles, the application of electric machines in the construction of road vehicles and the types of electric motors used as propulsion of electric vehicles. The practical part of the thesis involved creating a model of the electric motor of a Toyota Prius in Ansys Maxwell 2D. Using the developed motor model, simulations and traction characteristic analysis were carried out.
Losses in induction machines supplied by a frequency converter
Lípa, Miroslav ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
Diplomová práce se zabývá měřením asynchronního motoru se dvěma různými zdroji napájení, a to s frekvenčním měničem a generátorem. Tyto dva zdroje napájení byly následně simulovány pomocí metody konečných prvků a porovnány.
Shaded-Pole Induction motor
Žuška, Martin ; Koláčný, Josef (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Single-phase shade-pole motor has easy structure, and i tis chlap. It can be used as a drive of electrical fans, drive of small household appliancesor as a gramophonic motor. Motor is rotating one way only. Direction of roteting is given by positron of shading ring. Motor is not very effective, and i tis not efficient.
Analysis of electromechanical parameters of a historical induction machine and their comparison to a modern machine
Muczka, Vojtěch ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is related to a renovation of a historical induction motor and parameter comparison with modern equivalent. The first part describes the working principal of an induction motor. The next part is dedicated to the process of renovation of this motor, measurements and calculations of its parameters, followed by evaluation of parameter differences between historical and modern motor.
Optimization of a small induction machine’s slots
Šišák, David ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with optimization of the shape of the stator and rotor slots of induction motor with focusing on increasing efficiency. The theoretical part introduces the principles of optimization algorithms. Another part is devoted to design the shape of slots and its influence on the shape of slots on machine. On the models of motor was conducted the optimized shape of slots by using a genetic algorithm. Firstly, it was performed by using the analytical calculation in the RMxprt program, then by using the finite element method on two different models, whose difference simulates the influence of the production technology on the efficiency of the motor. Laboratory measurement was made on a real machine as well. The results of the measurement, calculations and optimizations are compared in the work.
Diagnosis of electromagnetic origin vibrations in asynchronous motor
Koníček, Pavel ; Dostál, Lukáš (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The aim of this master´s thesis is to introduce methods of diagnostics of vibrations in electrical machines. Describe the various vibration sources located inside and outside of the electric machine. Description of the sources of vibration is then preferably dedicated to vibration of electromagnetic origin. There is a description of the construction of an asynchronous motor and the magnetic circuit, the theory of vibrations and their origin. Described are also vibration sensor enables measurement and mathematical tools for their evaluation. In this work also practical vibration measurements on an asynchronous motor, data processing, their subsequent analysis and computer simulation of electromagnetic vibration origin. The conclusion of this work is devoted to the evaluation of the data obtained.
