The methodology for evaluation of environmental education programs
Činčera, Jan
The methodology may be used by public administration officials who evaluate both formal and informal environmental education programs for various reasons (incl. making decisions on the distribution of funds to support formal and informal environmental education programs)., The results can than be used by those who implemented the program to improve it or by its external evaluators such as the donor to asses its efficiency. The aim of the presented methodology is to define the basic terminology for evaluating environmental education programs, describe the basic stages of the evaluation cycle, characterize the basic alternative procedures for evaluating programs, and finally, to identify the basic requirements for evaluation research. Development of the methodology is based on the assumption that the evaluation research in the medium term will become an integral part of environmental education programs. To achieve this objective requires that officials are familiar with the theme and gain a basic understanding of the opportunities and needs of the assessment procedures.

SMUTNÁ, Marta
The aim of this thesis is to verify the economic efficiency and environmental impacts of the practical application of bioeconomics in the form of a business project for the hydroponic farm built by an educational institution. The project plan evaluates the economic efficiency of the alternative method of plant cultivation. The economic analysis is followed by an evaluation of the environmental impacts of hydroponic cultivation. The first chapters of the thesis focus on the theory of bioeconomics, hydroponic cultivation and a description of current world megatrends. The thesis also discusses the role of hydroponics in the context of global challenges and the European Union´s view on hydroponics. It is followed by a chapter describing the methodology for proceeding with the development of a business plan and a cost-benefit analysis methodology. These methodologies provide guidelines for the practical part. The first part of the practical part of this thesis focuses on the business plan for the hydroponic farm project, which includes several subchapters and analyses. First, the characteristics of the owner, project and products are described, followed by analyses of the market, customers, competitors and suppliers, then the staffing, marketing strategy are described and the project implementation schedule is presented. All costs and revenues are quantified in detail in the individual chapters and from these, a financial plan is summarized, including financial statements and projections for various scenarios and options for financing the project. Subsequently, the economic management of the project and its potential success is evaluated using evaluation indicators, risk analysis, PESTEL, Porter's analysis of 5 competitive forces and SWOT analysis. The hydroponic project is then compared with the conventional agriculture production within the cost-benefit analysis and evaluated from an environmental perspective in association with theoretical knowledge and information.
