Petr, Jiří ; Pantělejev, Libor (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis observes the creation and describes the nickel-silicon phases. The theoretical part is devoted to the description of silicides, difusion mechanisms and the basic principle of electroplating. The experimental part describes the creation of Ni-Si layer by using nickel electroplating, heat treatment and observing changes in microstructure based on annealing temperature.
Energy harvester working on epidermis
Fecko, Peter ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
This work focuses on theoretical designing of a device harvesting energy from perspiration on human epidermis. Chemical composition of the human sweat was researched from articles and publications dealing with this problem. Following their results the approximate concentration values of ionic salts (and other substances) were established, also an adequate combination of electrode metals were examined, theoretically making the energy harvester functional. Next proposal described a draft and production procedures towards manufacturing the harvester. Evaluation of voltage stability and dependency was made on changes in ionic concentrations of the electrolyte, representing human sweat. Finally, the harvester cell was produced according to proposed manufacturing methods and the cell performance was measured.
Electrodes for electrolyser
Kaňa, Ondřej ; Knotek, Tomáš (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
In my diploma work i focus on the production hydrogen by electrolysis of water using by electrolyzer. Especially, i concentrate on preparation electrodes for laboratory electrolyzer. I work on principles of increasing electrodes area, increasing functional surface of electrodes, by Nickel – Zinc coatings. By electroplating or chemical plating we spread microlayer of Nickel-Zinc onto electrodes made of steel plate. Then, in alkali - hydrate oxide, we will corrode Zinc components off the alloy and this is how we create pore surface of electrode. From macroscopic view, electrode has same geometrics propositions, however from microscopics view, the electrode has bigger surface area. The hydrogen production increases with unchanget sizes of electrolyzer.
Automatic control system of technology facility
Brabec, Luboš ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with problematics of technological procedures and techniques for modification of microelectrodes with nanostructures. Furthermore, it describes a device needed for automated production of nanosensors, their properties and communication with computer. These devices communicate through RS-232 and USB interfaces.
Nickel silicides layer by electron beam melting of electro deposited layer
Petr, Jiří ; Pantělejev, Libor (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the possibility of creating a compact nickel-silicide layer on austenitic substrates. The theoretical part describes a variety of surface treatments, silicide division, and basic principles of electron beam. The experimental part contains a description of used experimental methods for evaluation of samples, creation of Ni-Si coating using electroplating, and the parameters of electron beam used for melting the sample coating. The last part is devoted to structural evaluation of the sample coating and its microhardness.
Application of Conductive Inks and Low Temperature Sintered Pastes in PCB Production
Kolek, Andrej ; Špinka, Jiří (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
The present masters's thesis informs about the development and application of low-temperature sintering pastes in the manufacture and assembly of PCB components of the enclosing lead-free using nanoparticles of metals and their compounds. Lead-free brazing technology which s using in the present time, which has its drawbacks, however, and thus gaining other appropriate alternatives that seek to replace or further refined lead brazing. The introduction of the theoretical part inform about retrieval method of the type, composition and properties of low-temperature sintering pastes consisting of metal nanoparticles and their compounds. This section describes and explains the reaction mechanisms taking place during the sintering process. The end of the first chapter is dedicated to nanotechnology and production of nanoparticles and their compounds for the needs of the low-temperature sintering and possible related problems. Folowing section is devoted to examples of practitioners of the application and use of low-temperature sintering pastes and tests with which to assess the characteristics and quality of the related sintering conection. At the end of the thesis is a summary perspective and the use of low-temperature sintering technology nanoparticle past into the future. The experimental part is devoted to the application of conductive ink on the base of graphite for the production of 1V, 2V and 4V structures and their electroplated by the copper. There were created technological processes of 2V and 4V structures and test proposed methodologies resistance conductive theme to environmental influences. Filling pasta was tested in implementing 4V structure. There were made microsections various technological applications and their results were processed and evaluated.
Additive technology and their application for manufacturing electrolytic cell
Jalůvka, Jakub ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of suitable methods of rapid prototyping for manufacturing galvanic cell. At the beginning, there are discussed the most widely used RP technologies. The second chapter presents the manufactured part - the galvanic cell. The galvanic cell is modelled in software Autodesk inventor 3D CAD. The practical part describes the whole manufacturing process, including pre-processing, printing and postprocessing.

Vaněčková, Eva ; Bouša, Milan ; Shestivska, Violetta ; Kubišta, Jiří ; Rathouský, Jiří ; Sebechlebská, Táňa ; Kolivoška, Viliam
In this work, computer assisted design and fused deposition modelling 3D printing are\nemployed to devise and manufacture electrodes from polylactic acid-carbon nanotube\nconductive composite. Electrodes are further modified by copper electroplating to prepare\ncatalysts for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide. Scanning electron microscopy\nand energy dispersive X-ray analysis are used to inspect the surface morphology and chemical\ncomposition of obtained catalysts. Cyclovoltammetric investigations reveal that the copper\nelectroplating leads to the increase of electrode activity by three orders of magnitude.
Multipurpose electroplating power supply
Pinďák, Michal
The aim of this project is to design a four-quadrant bridge converter which could be used even for a galvanizing bath power supply. Nowadays the electroplating is one of the most used methods for surface treatment to all sorts of metal components, especially in electrotechnic industry. The article shows all basic structual parts of device, their parameters and the purpose of their use. The structure of an inverter control is implemented by program called LabVIEW.
