Methods for Playing the Game 'Liar's Dice' Using Dynamic Programming
Lohn, Marek ; Šátek, Václav (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This project is about Methods of playing game Liar’s Dice using dynamic programming. The algorithm that was chosen for my study is SARSA, short for State Action Reward State Action algorithm. It is a modified version of algorithm named Q-Learning. It comparing algorithm SARSA with other algorithms by letting them play against each other in application, that was made in Unity Engine. Algorithms that were compared to SARSA are Q-Learning and Counterfactual Regret Minimization. SARSA achieved a 69,147 % win ratio in a game against Q-Learning. In games against Counterfactual Regret Minimization it was only 25 % win ratio. The main outcome of this study is that modified SARSA is effective against Q-Learning algorithm in a game of Liar’s Dice. On the other hand the SARSA algorithm was very ineffective against the Counterfactual Regret Minimization algorithm.

Preparing teachers to work with gifted students
Balková, Veronika ; Kadrnožková, Monika (advisor) ; Marádová, Eva (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the preparation of teachers for work with gifted pupils at primary schools of mainstream education. The aim of the thesis is to describe possible educational practices and to analyze the methods of work that teachers can apply in the process of educating gifted pupils at a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of giftedness, its models and classification. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on the identification of gifted individuals, especially teachers, on basic approaches in the education of gifted pupils and also focuses on the education of teachers for working with gifted pupils. The research part of the thesis describes the research itself, which is solved by a mixed design of quantitative and qualitative approach. The quantitative research was carried out through a questionnaire survey and we used semi-structured interviews to collect data as part of the qualitative research. 81 respondents took part in the questionnaire survey and four respondents were subsequently contacted for semi-structured interviews. These were three teachers and one special educator working in a mainstream primary school. The results of the research show that teachers approach their work with gifted pupils responsibly, try to identify them...
Depreciation of fixed assets from an accounting and tax point of view
FLORIANOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis analyzes the depreciation policy of the company Podzimek a synové s.r.o. After a brief introduction of the company and its market position, both accounting and tax depreciation methods applied by the company to most of its assets are calculated. These methods include accelerated tax depreciation and accounting percentage depreciation. Depreciation is calculated for a passenger car, container and camera system. This asset is further subjected to calculations of other depreciation methods, namely straight-line tax depreciation, and from accounting perspective, SYD method, DDB method, annuity method, slow depreciation method, and performance method. All types of depreciation are subsequently compared to each other and the result of this comparison is the annual differences between accounting and tax depreciation. The differences indicate whether there is a decrease or increase in the accounting profit when transformed into the tax base. The ideal combination of methods, both accounting and tax depreciation, for the company is evaluated not only from this aspect but also with regard to the increase in the corporate income tax rate from 2024. For a passenger car, the combination of accelerated tax depreciation and performance method is proposed for the greatest reduction in accounting profit. Compared to the combination used by the company, for example in 2023, it would result in tax savings of 12 315,61 CZK. However, considering the increase in the corporate income tax rate, it is advantageous for the company to have a higher tax base at the end of 2023 than at the end of 2024. Therefore, from this perspective, the combination of straight-line tax depreciation and the DDB method is considered to be moe appropriate, as the tax base is slightly increased until the rate is increased, but from the moment the rate is increased, the company can start to reduce the tax base. Evaluation of the remaining types of assets is performed on a similar basis.

Time management in construction company managerial work
Jirátková, Marie ; Hub,, Karel (referee) ; Linkeschová, Dana (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to find out if manager in the area of building uses the methods of time management for the planning of work and tasks. At the beginning of theoretical part is the basic definition of the „time management“, assessment of the goals and the priorities, explanation of the methods used by time management and how to manage effectively. This part of the thesis deals with the downside as well – procrastination. Shows this downside as inability to manage the time management. The methods of time management are described and history of this methods as well. The second – practical part of the thesis – contains proposed hypotheses what investigate how the time management is in reality used by building managers, how helps the electronics and if managers prefer the working time. The author tries this hypotheses to confirm or to refute using the survey and structured interviews in selected building companies. The results of the thesis are suitable recommendations for more effective planning of the time and avoidance the mistakes in this area.
Scene Analysis Based on the 2D Images
Hejtmánek, Martin ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This thesis deals with an object surface analysis in a simple scene represented by two-dimensional raster image. It summarizes the most common methods used within this branch of information technology and explains both their advantages and drawbacks. It introduces the design of an surface profile analysis algorithm based on the lighting analysis using knowledge and experiences from previous work. It contains a detailed description of the implemented algorithm and discusses the experimental results. It also brings up options for the possible enhancement of the projected algorithm.
