Readiness of girls from an educational care institution for independent life
RANDLOVÁ, Alžběta
The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to analyze the place of the educational institute in relation to the adequacy of the preparation of girls for their independent life. My secondary goal is to evaluate the girls' assumptions and opinions about the adequacy of preparation for independent life by the institutional care. This is qualitative research, and as a procedure to achieve the goal, I chose semi-structured interviews with seven girls in an educational institution. I had a dictaphone to help me, which recorded conversations with the girls. The transcribed interviews are part of the appendices. The work helps to better understand the feelings of the girls in the institutional care, regarding the preparation for an independent life by the institutional care. It also contains the girls' assumptions and opinions about the adequacy or inadequacy of the preparation provided by the institutional care. I think the topic of this bachelor's thesis will be beneficial for the society, who may still consider institutional care as insufficient and inadequate for children and adolescents. But it can also be beneficial for a specific institutional care, for which the bachelor's thesis will be a certain reflection on the part of the girls, who had both words of praise and suggestions for improvement. In the conclusion of the bachelor's thesis after the evaluation of the interviews, it emerges that the girls know about the help from the institutional care, they also know the conditions under which they can be helped, and they know that they can always ask for help. Furthermore, in my bachelor's thesis, I have that girls are theoretically prepared to lead an independent life and their own household to the extent of their possibilities.

Early school leaving represents a serious problem in the European and recently also in the Czech context. The aim of this thesis is to research the dropout risks at clients of the Youth Diagnostic Facility using qualitative methods. The subject of the research is a group of six boys aged 15- 17 years. The goal of the research is to map the causes of educational issues through case studies and identify the reasons for dropout among the facility's clients; to explore the approach of schools and their staff to the education of these individuals; to describe the education conditions provided by the diagnostic facility; and to find out how the clients themselves see their education process and whether their attitude and approach to education changed during their stay at the facility. The results show that in some cases placement in a diagnostic or educational facility can increase, by providing suitable conditions, the chances of obtaining secondary education. The role of moral responsibility in the educational effect of institutional child welfare
PŘÍHODOVÁ, Denisa
The diploma thesis deals with the role of moral responsibility in the context of institutional care for a child from a disadvantaged background. The work analyzes in detail the possible influence of psychological deprivation and poor socialization of the child on the change in adolescent behavior in the way that requires him to be removed from the family environment. The aim of this thesis is to map the meaning of moral responsibility in child education. This goal includes noting both the importance of a parent's responsibility towards their child and the importance of the child's own responsibility. In the case when the adopted responsibility of the child is not sufficient for ordinary life in society the importance of institutional care is pointed out. A fundamental knowledge emerging from this thesis is the fact that parents' lack of moral responsibility can cause their children to behave inappropriately and is itself transmitted to the next generation, creating a closed circle from which it is very difficult to exit. All discussed findings from theoretical sources were supported by the personal experience of the social worker providing assistance to families from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Professional orientation of children - clients of Children's home
PRŮCHOVÁ, Kristýna
As the topic of my bachelor thesis, I chose professional orientation of children from a children's home. Studying high school and then choosing a profession is part of everyone's life. Professional orientation shapes and develops the professional goals of a young person. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to determine the degree of motivation of children from children's homes and the influence of social workers on the professional orientation of children. The thesis consists of two units. The theoretical part describes institutional care, children's homes, professional orientation and perspective orientation. The practical part is a qualitative research survey. Based on questionnaires and interviews, I try to answer basic research questions: Are children from children's homes interested in high school? How do children choose high school? What kind of tools do social workers of the children's home use to motivate children?
