Biosystematic study of the Carlina vulgaris complex in Central Europe based on molecular and morphometric approaches
Mašková, Hana ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Krak, Karol (referee)
The Carlina vulgaris complex in central Europe includes several lineages defined by their ecology, morphology and distribution. This diploma thesis is focused on relationships between the taxa recognized in the Czech Republic, namely Carlina vulgaris subsp. vulgaris, C. biebersteinii subsp. biebersteinii, C. biebersteinii subsp. brevibracteata and C. biebersteinii subsp. sudetica. Molecular analysis revealed two genetically defined groups. One includes samples from relict populations in western Bohemia and from high mountains classified as C. biebersteinii subsp. biebersteinii and C. biebersteinii subsp. sudetica. The other is represented by plants classified as C. vulgaris and C. biebersteinii subsp. brevibracteata. This genetic differentiation was also confirmed by morphometric analysis. However, relationships within these two groups remain unclear. The Czech populations of Carlina biebersteinii subsp. biebersteinii as well as of C. biebersteinii subsp. sudetica are closely related to the mountain populations in the Alps and Carpathians. Their occurrence in the Czech Republic is relict and they should be in focus of nature conservation. However, the separate taxonomic position of the claimed endemic C. biebersteinii subsp. sudetica is probably unjustified.

Antivirotické účinky stilbenoidů proti klíšťaty přenášeným patogenům in vivo
MAŠKOVÁ, Hana
This study was focused on antiviral effects of stilbenoids against a virus transmitted by ticks. The cell viability of selected cell line cultures in the presence of various concentrations of stilbenoids was determined using the MTT assay. Similarly, the mixed effect of other known antiviral substances and stilbenoids was studied using the MTT assay. Both the prophylactic effects of stilbenoids on the infected culture cell lines and the effect on viral replication were examined. The viral titres from samples were determined using plaque assay. Some of the experiments were performed also in vivo using laboratory mice.
Level of Media Literacy of Adults in Curent Czech Society and the Ways of its Achievement
Mašková, Hana ; Šerák, Michal (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
This thesis outlines the current state of adult media literacy and education in the Czech Republic. It defines basic concepts, present and historical approaches of media literacy and its anchoring in the Czech legal order and international documents. It further focuses on current phenomena of media world and selected media institutions involved in media literacy development. The analytical part compares and evaluates Pan-European and Czech research aimed at measuring the level of media literacy of adults. Key words media literacy, media education, media, adult education, longlife learning, civic education
Differentiation within the Carlina vulgaris complex in central Europe
Mašková, Hana ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Chrtek, Jindřich (referee)
The Carlina vulgaris complex includes in central Europe several forms with specific morphology, ecology and distribution. Their mutual relationships and ancestry are unclear. This fact leads to many different views on their taxonomy. The critically endangered endemic taxon C. biebersteinii subsp. sudetica was described from the Czech Republic. Its differentiation from other central-European populations has not been studied yet. For this reason, my following master thesis will focus on taxonomic re-evaluation of this complex by means of investigation of genetic and morphological variation. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Early Medieval Graphite Pottery from South Bohemia
MAŠKOVÁ, Hana
On the early medieval sites in South Bohemia, the graphite pottery can be found very often. This kind of pottery can be considered as a topic arising many questions and problems. With the help of the interdisciplinary way, the diploma thesis aims to summarize these issues for the early middle age, especially in South Bohemia.
Potenciální antimikrobiální účinky vybraných přírodních látek
MAŠKOVÁ, Hana
This study was focused on potential antiviral and antibacterial effects of viniferin and some derivatives of adamantane. The most suitable concentration was determined using flow cytometer. The antiviral effect on tick-borne encephalitis virus infection in glioblastoma cells was determined. Virus concentration was determined using plaque assay. The antibacterial effect was detected by the incubation of bacterial strains with suitable concentration of selected natural substances. The rate of bacterial growth was determined using absorbance measurement at 600 nm and plating on agar plates.
Contribution to the history of early medieval settlement in southern Bohemia. Archaeology and early medieval hillfort in Doudleby
MAŠKOVÁ, Hana
The subject of this thesis is the early medieval hillfort in Doudleby, which is presented here mainly from the archaeological point of view. One of the most important aims of this thesis is to summarize the archaeological findings, which are related to this hillfort and to provide an overview and information on available archaeological material from Doudleby. However, attention was paid to the early medieval hillforts in general and especially to South Bohemian hillforts. A smaller set of pottery was also analyzed in this bachelor thesis.
Analysis of Possibilities and Conditions of EU Sources Use for Enterprise Development
MAŠKOVÁ, Hana
The main objective of this bachelor thesis was to analyse supporting programs, which are granted by European Union and to draw a sufficient progam for the chosen company according to its business plan. The thesis summarises the supporting programs for small and medium businesses. The thesis is devided to the following parts: a theoretical part, which outlines small and medium size businesses in general. The meaning, limitations and negative effects, which have impact on SME, same as a concept of small and medium enterpreneurs and legislation related to the support of business, have been formulated there. Next is an analytical part, that analyses the programs of support for small and medium businesses, which are currently being offered. This includes programs supporting a countryside developement. Lastly is the practical part and it has been devoted to a description of parameters of the chosen company and to a drafting of a project propsal. For this bachelor thesis I have chosen a company ERLEX s.r.o. With accomodation as its main line of business . The aim of this company is to build up a pension, which will be situated in the town Strážný. According to an analysis of suitable programs of support, has been the most suitable one for the ERLEX s.r.o. chosen a program for developing countryside. Specificaly an axis III. {--} A quality of life in countryside and a diversification of economy in countryside, remedy III. 1. 3 b) Support of Tourism. If this project was implemented it would speed up building up the accomodation and increase the competitiveness of the company. If the application is rejected it will lead to delays on implementation of the planned project, because of its significant cost.
