Leisure activities of a selected segment of residents in Mladá Boleslav

This bachelor thesis is focused on posibilities of spending free time and availability of free time activities in industrial town Mladá Boleslav. The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the activities that are available in the town and the quality of the free time activities offered to different groups of children of different ages. The conclusion concentrates on possible improvement of these acitvities in the future. To achieve the stated aims different methods are used. The methods include reasearch of literature specialized in history, development and philosophical ideas connected to free time, field data collection in the form of mapping of the important locations, data based on questionnaries, work with publicly available resources and data collected from structure interviews. All data used in this thesis were collected by the author himself and data of Czech statistical office and Municipality of the town Mladá Boleslav were added as well. The thesis concludes that there is a great amount of free time activities available. However, the town should focus on searching for new places suitable for free time activities that can be used by families and their children. Also promotion of these institutions focusing on free time activities should be improved.
Potential and use of free time in Mlada Boleslav

The conclusion concentrates on possible improvement of these acitvities in the future. To achieve the stated aims different methods are used. The methods include reasearch of literature specialized in history, development and philosophical ideas connected to free time, field data collection in the form of mapping of the important locations, work with publicly available resources and data collected from structure interviews. All data used in this thesis were collected by the author himself and data of Czech statistical office and Municipality of the town Mladá Boleslav were added as well. The thesis concludes that there is a great amount of free time activities available. However, the town should focus on better multicultural connection among the citizens living in Mladá Boleslav. Youth independent travelling: a case study in Prague

The subject of this bachelor thesis is an alternative form of tourism, the youth independent travelling, which is an increasingly important aspiration for young people around the world. Theoretical part describes specific traits of young travellers, the evaluation of tourism in Prague and it draws attention to the issues of concentration of tourism. Practical part of the thesis focuses on research of young travelers and their perception of Prague. It evaluates information sources and reveals missing active products even though this area has great potential for alternative tourism forms. Hippotourism in Czechia - the Vysočina Region case study

The work deals with the promotion and development of horse riding in the Vysočina county. The first part is given to projects that planned and sponsored the Vysočina county and the specific activities under these projects. The second part deals with the support of private individuals and grants to the accompanying drawing infrastructure horse riding. In the last part is described and evaluated field research that was conducted in Vysočina county between owners of horse stations. Geographical Aspects of Leisure: The Importance of Leisure for Shaping of Social Capital and Local Identities

The thesis discusses the importance of leisure as a part of an individual's everyday life for the formation of social relationships and ties influencing whole society. In fact, leisure is understood as a sample of practices and activities with underlying social and cultural factors. These practices are allocated in time and space, having an impact on space. The study is devoted to the use of leisure, its position and importance in the general time framework of a day. There is also a discussion of the trends and shifts in society associated with broader cultural and institutional processes (transformation of the labour market, globalisation, individualisation, differentiation, post-communist transformation, and the gender question). In addition, the study empirically examines the importance and potential of leisure activities for the formation of place attachment and associated processes of the creation of social capital, contact networks and knowledge transfer. Through these effects, leisure can contribute to the endogenous development of distinct types of area. In fact, attention is focused on two ways of leisure time activities with a considerable local tie and potential for the creation of social capital. These are the second home tourism and activities performed within voluntary associations....
Localization of suburban inhabitants' leisure activities: the example of Roztoky

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to detect the involvement of the newly immigrated inhabitants in leisure activities at their place of residence. The city of Roztoky has been chosen as an area of the research. The city is located north of the Prague and since 2000 has been experiencing increase of inhabitants and housing construction. The thesis works with theoretical concepts of everyday life geography. The questionnaire survey was used as a method to achieve the aim of the thesis. The results show, that the most of the new Roztoky's inhabitants is involved in leisure activities localized within the city. They locate their leisure activities anywhere else only in case, if they demand higher quality or the activity is not available in their city. Leisure Activities in Rural and Urban Environments; a Case Study of the Prague and Vysočina Regions

The submitted thesis deals to describe and analyze the extent to which different leisure activities in urban and rural regions. I will explain in more detail in particular the frequency of leisure activities in the city of Prague and the rural Vysočina regions. Part of the work is a general specification of the leisure time, city and country, the impact on various aspects of leisure and brief demographic and socio-economic analysis of the Prague and Vysočina regions. The main part is a quantitative processing and analyses of secondary data target the leisure activities. Attention will also focus on leisure activities based on different gender, age, level of education, earner and size of the village. Subordinated parts of this work are structured interviews with people from the rural area.
