Irena Novotná Title: The Case Study of a Patient Undergoing Physical Therapy with a Diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis with Pain in the Shoulder and Hip Joints Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to develop a case report of a patient with a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. To process theoretical knowledge about this diagnosis obtained from the scientific literature, and to propose suitable physiotherapeutical treatment for a patient with a diagnosis mentioned above. Methods: The bachelor's thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the general structure of the joint and the description of rheumatoid arthritis, its clinical picture and the possibilities of diagnosis and therapy. A case study report of a specific patient with this diagnosis is presented in the special part. As part of the case study, examination methods and therapeutic techniques were used. Those are part of the curriculum of the bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy at Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to gain knowledge about the diagnosis of TEP of the knee joint and the most common indication for this procedure. Furthermore, the aim was to prepare a case report of a patient with this diagnosis and to evaluate the procedures used and the results of the examination Methods:The case study report includes an initial and an initial kinesiological analysis, eight therapeutics units, the objectives of the short- and long-term therapeutic pla and the design of the therapy. The methods used in the examination were those that are part of the knowledge of the bachelor's degree in physiotherapy. Finally, the methods and effect are compare with the literature. Barbora Homonická Pyšková Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient with rheumatoid arthritis Objectives: The goal of the thesis is to summarize theoretical and methodological basis of rheumatoid arthritis and and to describe their use in the rehabilitation of a patient with this diagnosis. Another aim was to demonstrate the effect of selected physiotherapeutic methods and procedures in practice, to compare them with new trends in the field of rheumatology and to describe the possibilities of influencing the functional state of the patient. Methods: The thesis was prepared on the basis of countinuous professional practice at the Revmatologický ústav in Prague, from 22. 1. to 16. 2. 2024 under the expert guidance of Mgr. Iva Zinková. Milan Martínek Ph.D. Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of patient with an ankylosing spondylitis and after total hip replacement Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate the topic of hip joint replacement and ankylosing spondylitis in the form of a case study of a patient and at the same time to present this issue in a theoretical form Methods: The case report of the patient was elaborated during the concurrent professional practice at the Institute of Rheumatology in Prague, during the 3rd year of the bachelor's degree in physiotherapy at Charles University, Faculty of Physiotherapy. For the preparation of the case study, a detailed history of the patient was first taken and an initial examination was performed. This was followed by 9 therapeutic units spread over 2 weeks, at the end of which a complete exit examination was performed to the same extent as the entrance examination. Data from the initial and outcome examinations were then compared to assess the effect of therapy. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Aim: The aim of this thesis is to introduce the issue of disease of ankylosing spondylitis, focusing on physiotherapy treatment in this disease. Furthermore the thesis is introducing a case study of a patient diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Summary: This thesis is divided into two parts, general part and special part. General part introduces the issue of ankylosing spondylitis. The general part describes symptoms of the disease, its diagnostics and ways of treatment, focusing on physiotherapy and physical exercise in general, furthermore possibilities drug treatment and surgery is mentioned as well as other ways of treatment. Finally it describes the prognosis of the disease. Special part introduces a case study of a patient diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Based on the initial biomechanical assessment the short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan is evaluated, the therapy carried out according to rehabilitation plan. IN ENGLISH Name of title: Physiotherapy and life quality promotions patients with Bechterew disease Abstract: Subject of this bachelor's thesis is lifelong rheumatic disease - ankylosing spondylitis - from the perspective of patients and possible influence of physical therapy on disease's outcomes. Theoretical part deals with anatomical findings on axial skeleton, classification of ankylosing spondylitis within the group of rheumatic diseases, ethiopathogenesis, clinical manifestations, course of disease based on pathological and anatomical changes, examination, diagnostics, possibilities of medical treatment and therapy. Therapy is independant chapter, posing the first objective of this bachelor's thesis - description of different physical therapy approaches that can support the quality of life of patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Practical part deals with examination and description of subjective perception of quality of life of patients with axial form of ankylosing spondylitis during the course of disease. Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to study and analyse theoretical knowledge about diagnosis of systemic sclerosis and to describe a case report concerned with a patient diagnosed with this diseas. Summary: This bachelor thesis deals with the diagnosis of systemic sclerosis. Title: Casuistry of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with ankylosing spondylitis diagnosis and in the condition after total hip replacement Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to become acquainted and deepen the knowledge regarding the issue of total hip arthroplasty and ankylosing spondylitis as well as repeating the acquired skills I've gained during the study of physiotherapy at the UK FTVS in the practical part of my thesis. Summary: This bachelor thesis is devided into general and practical part. The theoretical knowledge of hip joint and ankylosing spondylitis are summarised in the general part of the thesis. I was describing joint construction, osteoarthritis, coxarthrosis, conservative and surgical treatment of coxarthrosis and the follow up care after the total hip arthroplasty. In the theoretical issue of ankylosing spondylitis, I focused on the clinical picture, treatment, therapy and possible performances of this disease. The practical part is describing the case report of the pacient, contains initial kinesiological analysis, short- term and long-term therapeutic plan, the process of individual therapeutic meetings, the output kinesiological analysis and evaluation of therapy results. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the dignosis Crohn's disease Objective: The aim of the bachelor thesis is theoretical processing of the diagnosis of Crohn's disease, physiotherapeutic examination and therapeutic methods and, of course, also the practical layout and application of therapy that is suitable to patient's medical condition. Methods: The bachelor thesis was elaborated on the basis of four-week practice, which took place in the Rheumatology Institute in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis corresponds to the literature search of Czech and foreign professional publications and articles concerning the above- mentioned issue. This part contains not only theoretical knowledge about Crohn's disease, but also functional effects of damaged organs on the locomotor system and higher management levels. Examination and therapeutic methods related to the diagnosis and therapy of Crohn's disease and problems associated with it. The pieces of information were searched in local libraries, electronic resources, and some of them also correspond to the personal communication of experts in their field, with whom I had the privilege to meet.
