Antisemitism in France - current debate and its roots

v českém jazyce není součástí práce. Úryvek z Úvodu: V první části se budu věnovat nejprve různým definicím pojmu "antisemitismus" a úskalím, které s jeh o používáním souvisejí. Následně představím ve stručnosti historické proměny protižidovské nenávisti od křesťanského antíjudaismu po popírání holocaustu a závěrem se zamyslím nad fenoménem "nového antisemitismu". Druhá část je zaměřena na dějiny vzájemného "stýkání a potýkání" Židů a francouzské společnosti, především v posledních dvou staletích. Zmíním se zde o bohatém ideovém dědictví francouzského antisemitismu, o jeho nejrůznějších proudech, formách a významných teoreticích i prakticích. Ve třetí části se pokouším interpretovat některá data ilustrující růst protižidovských útoků a nálad ve Francii v posledních letech. Pozornost věnuji v této souvislosti zvláště prostředí škol, které je podle některých pramenů antisemitismem také zasaženo. V závěru této části se zaměřím na to, jak toto klima ovlivnilo emigraci francouzských Židů do Izraele. Čtvrtá část předkládané práce je sondou do debaty o antisemitismu probíhající již pět let mezi francouzskými intelektuály, která výrazně rezonuje ve veřejném prostoru. Media Credibility: Cases of Russia and the United States

The primary purpose of this work is to examine the differences in media credibility perception among Russian and American respondents, to compare the importance of mass media and interpersonal channels as sources for information and to check whether there is a relation between a medium credibility perception and a medium's importance as a source for news. This paper functions as a comparative analysis and consists of two parts. The first part is based on the study of already existing literature, especially, the overview of historical development and contemporary state of mass media, some theories of media ecology, and cultural dimensions. Based on this first theoretical part, I created a survey, which results are presented and interpreted in the second part of this work. The main limitation of this study is the small sample size that cannot be considered representative. However, findings of this study provide insights into important issues related to cultural environment impacts on credibility perception of mass media and interpersonal channels. The results of the comparative survey can provide a useful framework for examining the cross-cultural differences in media credibility.

Central European policy with regard to the activities of the Visegrad Group

Ve své rigorózní práci se pokouším o zamyšlení nad minulou, současnou i budoucí podobou středoevropského regionu. Zajímala mne jeho specifika, svébytné zájmy a existence středoevropské politiky, zda je vůbec nosná a potřebná. Rozbor zmíněné tématiky s cílem nalézt a pojmenovat shodné rysy, společné pro všechny státy, existující ve středoevropské oblasti, provádím na základě zhodnocení období počínajícího debatou o fenoménu střední Evropy v disidentském prostředí v 80. letech XX. století, přes dobu politického formování po roce 1989 až do současnosti. Svoji analýzu chci především zaměřit na československý respektive český postoj ke středoevropské rovině spolupráce. Na základě pozdější evaluace dosavadního středoevropského vývoje a sedmnácti let praktických zkušeností se pokusím v závěru své studie nastínit pravděpodobný průběh dění v "srdci Evropy" a pojmenovat výzvy před kterými bude možná stát jak česká politická reprezentace, tak i její případní zahraniční partneři, kteří v tomto regionu aktivně působí. Ve svém textu kladu hlavní důraz na český postoj k regionální spolupráci, jeho ideový základ, plně si uvědomuji i nezbytnost zhodnotit i základní přístupy a ambice sousedních zemí, které jsou neméně důležitými aktéry a přímo se podílejí na utváření výsledné podoby vzájemné kooperace a vztahů. Cuban dissidents in Cuba and in exile. Origin, present state and development of resistance against the regime of Fidel Castro

Ve své práci jsem se snažila postihnout nejen nynější situaci kubánských disidentů a exulantů, ale také širší výseč historie tohoto ostrova, která může vysvětlit řadu otázek, jež byly v hlavním textu vzneseny. Pro pochopení situace opozice (nejen) na Kubě je nutné poznat, jak se Kubánci formovali jako svébytný národ, odkud pramení jejich animozita ke Spojeným státům americkým, proč v zemi zvítězil komunistický režim, ačkoliv Castro v době, kdy zahájil revoluci nebyl marxistou. Proč skončil, obrazně řečeno, v náruči Sovětského svazu a proč se režim po roce 1989 nezhroutil jako ve většině zemí socialistického bloku. Práce je proto rozdělena na šest základních oddílů, poměrně značný prostor jsem věnovala Fidelu Castrovi, bez jehož osoby by Kuba dnes zřejmě vypadala úplně jinak. Neopominutelná část je věnována také kubánskému exilu, který s disentem úzce souvisí (řada exulantů byli původně disidenty). Exil navíc poskytuje opozici přímo na ostrově materiální i duchovní pomoc. Z disidentských skupin jsem pro přehlednost v hlavním textu jmenovala pouze nejdůležitější, další jsou vypsány v příloze. Důvodem je jejich a roztříštěnost. Media image of Czech and France politics

The hypothesis of this diploma thesis is that the French and Czech media informed differently about their domestic political situation as well as about political situation of the other country. This should be in accordance to theories of Michel Foucault and Roland Barthes, concerning language as a tool of power. Are media acting like an instrument of power of their own countries? The research in this thesis is based on qualitative content analysis of relevant texts. Content analysis is complemented by analysis of the accompanying photos. Texts and images are taken from selected Czech and French newspapers (such as Le Monde, Le Figaro, L'Equipe, Libération, Lidove noviny, Pravo, Mlada fronta Dnes), which appeared during the Czech presidency of the European Union. The work focuses on news, comments and analysis articles. These sources are searched for statements that are calling attention to the specific meanings of the meanings of common, whether the statements of facts, or expressive. Statements are analysed not only in terms of their frequency, but in particular as a meaning system.

Cyber terrorism - medial threat

The subject of my diploma thesis, Cyber terrorism - medial threat, is a phenomenon of terrorist attacks in cyberspace, media discourse, within the reality is constructed cyber terrorism in the media and its impact on the securitization of cyber terrorism process. It also deals with the comparison of traditional forms of terrorism with those that have evolved with new communication technologies. The thesis outlines the development of the concept of terrorism from its beginning to the present. The aim of the thesis is to show Cyber terrorism as a latent threat to the information society. For the interdisciplinary approach is used the method of discourse analysis. Creating a social and media reality is analyzed based on the theory of Niklas Luhmann and points to the autopoiesis self-reference systems and reference each other, as a key concept in the construction of reality by the media. Another section is devoted to the reaction of the European Union and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on the "threat" of cyber terrorism. Municipality and district like constituent of public administration reform

Thesis with title " Municipality and region like component of public administration reform" deal with transformation of municipal and regional local government in framework of public administration reform, which run in Czech republic since the year 1998. But it has been prepared since the origin of discrete Czech republic in the year 1993. Thesis deals also with history of public administration since the year 1848. We can see there a description of public administration in term of " First republic and Protectorate" and also in term when political power was takeover by communist party in year 1948. This event had for a long time impact on a form of Czech and Czechoslovak public administration, especially with establishing socalled public committee like the widest organization of labour and authority of state power and administration in regions, districts and municipalities. The base for realization of public administration reform is " Concept of public administration reform" which was put together in year 1998 by Home Office of Czech republic and advance report to this concept. In these materials were defined main points of prepared reform include main principle of reform like decentralization of state administration.
