Studium of 1,6-pinakol rearrangement
Vlčková, Gabriela ; Kotora, Martin (advisor) ; Kamlar, Martin (referee)
This bachelor work focuses on a study of 1,6-pinacol rearrangement in substances possessing the 1,4-phenylendimethanol moiety. The pinacol rearrangement was studied under various reaction conditions in the presence of different Brønsted and Lewis acids. The project consists of preparation of suitable starting material and a study of different reaction conditions. The goal is for one thing to assess the scope of the reaction with respect to the structure of the starting material (specifically indenofluorene-5,8-diols) and for another to exploit its synthetic application. Key words: 1,4-fenylennedimethanol, indenofluorendiol, rearrangement, Brønsted acids, Lewis acids
Prenominal and postnominal Adjectives in Italian - a corpus study
VLČKOVÁ, Gabriela
This diploma thesis deals with prenominal and postnominal adjectives in Italian. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part, the theoretical one, describes the basic characteristics of Italian adjectives which are being classified. It also focuses on the prenominal and postnominal adjectives and on the factors that influence their position in classification. The second part, the practical one, works with the web corpus called itWaC. Using the web corpus, there are frequency lists of adjectives in positions ART-ADJ-NOUN and ART-NOUN-ADJ being created. It results in creation of one final list that includes the adjectives appearing in the position both before and after the noun. Then the chosen adjectives are being analyzed in order to verify the initial theoretical knowledge and to specify the changes in meaning, related to the position change of the adjectives.
Comparative analysis of the Czech and Italian legislation of employment and of the relevant legal terminology.
VLČKOVÁ, Gabriela
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the Czech and Italian regulation of employment relationship and on the basis of this comparison determine to what extent they are similar or different. The thesis is divided into five major chapters, which are consequently divided into a number of smaller subchapters. In the first chapter I deal with the history of labor law and with its legal basis in both countries. The second chapter focuses in detail on individual types of labor relations in the Czech Republic and then in Italy. The third chapter explains the rules related to employment contracts, establishment and termination of employment relationship in these two states. In the fourth chapter, which is the main part of this work, I make a comparison on the basis of the findings with an emphasis on the differences and similarities between both regulations. In the final, fifth, chapter I make an analysis of terminology and then create an Italian-Czech glossary. The thesis is concluded with a summary in Italian language.

The (Master's) Thesis deals with the process of awarding the grants to the municipalities. The main emphasis of the Thesis is put on the following questions: who (political representatives in particular committees, councils and local authorities, or clerks), under which standards and in what way decides about the funds distribution. The research will be made in chosen municipalities. There will be given certain standards that will serve as a base for the research analysis of the transparency of the process of awarding the grants. In the primary phase, the data will be collected by the means of standardized interview of particular municipal employees concerned with grant policy. The secondary phase of the research will be based on desk research method. The research will challenge the hypothesis that the grant programmes in municipalities are transparent. Among the analyzed variables, there are objectives of the grant, requirements for awarding of the grant, authors of the grants, people responsible for awarding of the grants, grant beneficiaries, the amount of contributions, supervision over funds distribution and release of the grants.
Transformation textile company Fezko in Strakonice in 19th and 21st century
Vlčková, Gabriela ; Jakubec, Ivan (advisor) ; Skřivan, Aleš (referee)
The Bachelor's Thesis deals with the south-Bohemian textile company Fezko situated in the city of Strakonice. After founding in the beginning of the 19th century, the company was in progress and changed differently over the years. It became famous mainly as a manufacturer and a supplier of fezzes, a kind of red headgear worn largely by Islamists. Fez was exported to distant places, especially in Turkey. The company was not only specialised in fez production, but there were also made other headgears, such as berets, and common pieces of clothing, such as coats, suits and scarfs. At present, the company focuses on the manufacturing of textile interiors for the automotive industry. In the thesis, there are also stated the reasons why fezzes were produced in the city of Strakonice and its surroundings. Last but not least, the thesis explores the life conditions of company workers, their wages, working time, in what way the company influenced their lives and, finally, the possible reasons why the workers went on strike.
