Pupils's transition to a lower secondary school after 5th and 4th grade

The diploma thesis pursues a pupil's transition to a lower secondary school. The theoretical part describes the development of Czech primary and lower secondary school. It compares the compulsory education in European countries and describes a phenomenon of transition in view of its development in an international context during the past few decades. The empirical part explores main topics of pupil's transition to higher level of education. The research is based on the case study of the primary school with pupil's transition from the fourth grade and from the fifth grade. The research aim is to find out how the transition is viewed by the pupils and their teachers and to find out the reasons for an alternation of classic model of the transition in the fifth grade of primary school. It presents the advantages and disadvantages of this modification in a view of current pupils' development. The results show that neither pupils nor the teachers perceive any major differences in a timing of the transition. For all the pupils, with no regard to the model of the transition, the more important change is the entering to the sixth grade, which is connected with the change of the curriculum. The Fight against Corruption in Prague - the Anti-corruption Strategy of Government and Civil Society during the "Necas's government".

Presented work deals with the issue of fighting against corruption. In a theoretical level the work informs about the causes of corruption and the tools that are currently used for its persecuting. In the practical part I try to find out the way of improvement of corruption range seen throgh the eyes of actors that operate in Prague city. The aim of the work is to identify possibilities of efficiency improvement of nonprofit organizations and the public sector in the field of fighting against the corruption. The analytical part of the work, therefore, maps the situation in relations between selected non-profit organizations and relations between them and the public administration, which is in this work represented by the Prague City Hall - an institution which represents by the local government activities.
Analysis of the Czech System of Development Cooperation from its Stakeholders Point of View

The aim of this paper is to provide information on current Czech system of development cooperation and to discover the attitudes of its stakeholders towards the system and its problems. The theoretical part describes the system from various points of view, firstly speaking of its legislative and institutional background and its stakeholders, then coming to the practical questions of territorial and sector finance allocation and project cycle management. In short the findings of this part are that there are many policy documents concerning development cooperation, however the central law has still not been prepared. Regarding the institutional structure, it is quite fragmented - MFA plays the role of the main coordinator, while nine sector ministries have control over management of the projects connected with their sphere of competence. Even though the progress concerning the standardization of procedures among the ministries has been made, still the system as it is causes problems to the implementors of the development cooperation projects. Concerning the financial aspect - the Czech Republic gives to ODA approximately 0,11 % of GNI, which is far to reach the target set either by EU (0,33 % GNI) or UN (0,7 % GNI). Support of health in the curriculum of the Nursing College and Secondary Nursing School in Prague 1

The topic of the following thesis is the health promotion included in curriculum of Special Medical High School and Medical High School in Prague 1. The aim of a qualitative research is to find out how the school adopted the possibility of health promotion in its curriculum and other educational documents, what is the life style of the teachers and their particular experience in health promotion during their classes. Three different data collecting techniques were used when doing the research: semi- structured interviews with selected teachers; class observation; analysis of relevant pedagogical documents. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the history and presence of the schools selected, pedagogical documents and also with chosen pedagogical staff. Further it informs about specific school health support projects. The practical part contains final results of qualitative research which shows that the topic of health support is included in many areas of chosen documents. Its following realization depends not only on financial possibilities and capacity of the school but mainly on particular teachers and their responsible approach to this issue within their lessons and lifestyle. In conclusion this school can be considered as a good example...
