Text readability analysis
Tichá, Petra ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This semestral work deals with the EOG signal recording in reading condition. The theoretical part contains description of physiology and anatomy of ocular system, types of ocular movements and its use during a reading process. Principles of copywriting and typographic text parameters, which influence text readability, are introduced in this work as well. Principle of electrooculography and description of detectable elements in obtained signal are explained in chapter EOG. The chosen algorithm is described in the next chapter. Some detected parametres are converted into a single parameter which expresses the text readability. The results are statistically processed and there are made recommendations for the creation of optimally readable text.
Acquisition and classification of motion
Tichá, Petra ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the acquisition and classification of movement using accelerometer and gyroscope data. The theoretical part contains biomechanics of movement, sensors used in the motion analysis and customization options and classification of measured data. A description of the components of the acquisition system, its implementation and placement on the body of the measured person are introduced in this work as well. To verify the functionality of the device, measured data was compared with the data measured by mobile application Sense-it. Classification of motion was inplemented by two methods in the Matlab software environment. The first one uses a vector of three parameters, the other classifies the movement by the absolute value of the difference in signal deflections.
Information System Supporting Feature-Driven Development
Tichá, Pavlína ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the Featured Driven Development (FDD) agile methodics. To support this methodics, an information system has been created, providing all team-members with instruments to follow the methodics. This multi-user system is implemented as a web-based application, enabling creation of a feature list,  plan a project, support the cooperation among the feature team members and watch the project progress in an illustrative way. To improve the visualization possibilities, a wide range of reports aimed at the company management and the client is provided.
Objective and subjective factors in the evaluation of outcomes of breast reconstruction after mastectomy
Tichá, Pavla ; Sukop, Andrej (advisor) ; Nejedlý, Aleš (referee) ; Třešková, Inka (referee)
For patients undergoing mastectomy, breast reconstruction provides an opportunity to restore their personal and social lives. During the last decade, there has been an upward trend in the number of successfully completed breast reconstructions. Reconstruction can be achieved by a number of methods which differ by their indication criteria as well as in their results. In addition to the objective analysis of clinical data, an integral part of the evaluation of these results should be a subjective evaluation of patient satisfaction with the surgery outcome and quality of life in the form of self- assessment questionnaires. Our specific objectives were to compare early postoperative and long-term clinical outcomes as well as patient-reported outcomes in terms of satisfaction and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients undergoing implant-based reconstruction, abdominal-based autologous reconstruction, and combined reconstruction.
Inactivation of aspergillus niger on paints containing ZnO
Rácová, Z. ; Baudys, M. ; Krýsa, J. ; Tichá, P. ; Demo, Pavel
Antifungal capability of ZnO against bacteriae A. niger (including its photocatalytic activity) was analyzed. The optimal conditions for mould mycelium growth was estimated from evolution growth models. It was shown that prepared protective coating exhibits antifugal effect.
Variety potkanů a jejich genetická determinace
Tichá, Petra
The work describes variations of chat stroctures and colour of fancy rat (Rattus norvegicus var. alba) bred by hobby breeders. The document contains list of various coat types, colours and also frequently occuring coat colour patterns. The document is not limited to listing specific variations but describes their genetics origin. The work deals with specific mutations leading to differentiations of coat colour patterns. The source information used was obtained from subject articles about genetics of laboratory rats and complemented by authors own experience in fancy rat breeding. The document includes an example of genetics determination of selected types of rat varieties. The point of this work is to create a comprehensive notion of mutations affecting the fancy rat appearance and their heredity. Hobby breeders will find various breeding wals leading to occurence of standardized coat types, specigic colour types and pattern types, broadening their awareness of the problematic.
Acquisition And Classification Of Motion
Tichá, Petra
This article deals with the acquisition and classification of human movement using accelerometer and gyroscope data. First part of the work summarizes the design and implementation of the acquisition system and its placement on the body of the measured person. Second part describes classification of accelerometer and gyroscope data (recorded using the acquisition system) on the three basic types of movement – sitting, walking and running. Classification algorithm is realized in Matlab workspace.
ACTING IN VARIOUS GENRES OF GRADUATE PRODUCTIONS
Kratochvílová, Anna ; KUDLÁČKOVÁ, Jana (advisor) ; TICHÁ, Petra (referee)
The work of A.K. attempts to capture the thought-process development of a young actress, which is then mirrored in her approach to her work. Within the scope of her experience, the author addresses the diversity in actors’ approaches to their roles, depending on the genre of the play, as well as the director’s influence with respect to his or her approach, process and even personality. The author outlines the process of preparation for a role, rehearsals and re-runs of roles from the following graduate productions: Denis Kelly: Ritual Slaughter of Gorge Mastromas (A. Svozil, K. Kosová), Ö. Horváth: Stories from the Vienna woods (J. Kačmarčík), I. Vyrypajev: Drunk (A. Burianová) and A. P. Čechov: Gull (I. Krejčí). She also addresses her inspirational experience of immersive theatre as part of the Pomezí project (L. Brychta, Š. Tretiag, K. Součková). Additionally, the author contemplates the issue of a common journey of director and actor in an instance when they have differing tastes, and thus also different opinions regarding the production itself. Finally, the author concludes with a reflection on the essential role of an objective and detached view in production.
Ideal of beauty and women's self-presentation in social networks
Tichá, Petra ; Hladík, Radim (advisor) ; Reifová, Irena (referee)
This diploma thesis is concerned with the problematic of the links between self-presentation on social networks (SNS) and female beauty ideal. The thesis defines the beauty ideal as social construct, because every culture has its own beauty ideal and every period held its own standards on what is considered as beutiful. The thesis is also based on assumption that definitions of beauty are multidimensional and is focused on several beauty ideals. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate ways of self-presentation of women on social networks in the context of ideal of beauty. The research is based on the analysis of profile pictures on social networks and is also based on qualitative method of grounded theory. The final results show that the dominant way of visual self-presentation is represented by selfies. But the research has also shown that in each group there is a minority group of women who present themselves in accordance with the chosen ideal of beauty. Differences are described at the end of the thesis.
