Cooperation with the family in the education of children at an early age

The dissertation is devoted to the reality of enrolling early children in kindergarten in the Czech Republic. The topic was examined from the perspective of key actors, ie parents and teachers, through research questions: What is the availability of early childhood education in the Czech Republic? What are the reasons for families to place early children in the kindergarten? What are the benefits of an early child attending kindergarten from the point of view of individual actors? What are the ways of communication and cooperation with the family from the point of view of individual actors? A questionnaire survey was used for data collection, in which took part 1 030 parents and 1 118 teachers from all over the Czech Republic. For a deeper understanding, the survey was supplemented by focus groups of parents and teachers. The obtained data were analyzed using open coding, constant comparison and simple descriptive statistics. The availability of education for early children is a burning issue in the Czech Republic. Family and school in the process of inclusion

The thesis is devoted to inclusion in preschool education with a focus on the child's family. The theoretical part deals with inclusive education, defines the basic concepts, related legislation, describes the benefits and risks of inclusion in the light of current knowledge. Attention is paid not only to the characteristics of pre-school education, but also to the inclusion of children with special educational needs in kindergarten. A separate chapter deals with the issue of the family of a disabled child and also describes some aspects of the cooperation of the family with the nursery school. The family plays a vital role in the development of the child, so the family context in which the child grows up is also essential for understanding the child's individuality and developmental needs. The theoretical knowledge is followed by a research investigation. The practical part introduces qualitative research, which aims to bring experience with inclusive education in kindergarten from the perspective of parents. Conditions of education for children from two years in kindergarten

This thesis deals with actual topic in the Czech Republic - pre-school education of children younger than three years in kindergartens. With regards to social, health educational and family policies development, education and care of children under three years of age have shifted to kindergartens. The aims of this thesis are to describe recent changes concerning family, current state of pre-school education system in the Czech Republic with regard to children younger than three years of age needs and analyze and specific these needs by a contemporary young child. On such substantial data base we would like to define specific conditions of pre-school education of such young children. To follow the aims, an inquiry was conducted to examine whether or not the needs of children younger than three years are fulfilled at some kindergartens. Following that, the inquiry outputs from individual school have been compared to one another and to a model of an optimal praxis of a pre-school institution. Anotace: Práce se zabývá problematikou jeslí z hlediska základního zajištění provozu a podmínek pro poskytování odborné, přiměřené a hodnotné péče o děti do tří let. Pro vhled do situace byly použity kromě odborné literatury také názory rodičovské veřejnosti a studentů Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy v Praze, zjišťované formou přímého dotazování, rozhovorů a písemného vyjádření předem určenou formou.
