Polášek, Jan ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design of the turbine housing of turbocharger VNT for supplying separated pressure pulses from the exhaust manifold. Subsequently, the work includes strength analysis of the designed turbine housing. The aim of the thesis is to create components for the supply of separate pressure pulses as close as possible to the turbine. Furthermore, the modification of the existing turbine housing and the assessment of the functionality of the VNT mechanism after this modification and strength analysis. The final aim of this thesis is the creation of 2D and 3D technical documentation of newly designed and modified parts.

Main subject of this master thesis is inventory controlling in Siemens Elektromotory, s.r.o. (Ltd), plant Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. In theoretical part are described the essential topics as the controlling generally , then substance of the the inventory controlling and the importation of inventory for the company, their classification and reasons, why is it so important to go in for the inventory controlling. In the practical part the thesis describes current situation in the company and current controlling toolls in inventory field. Then is described the process of developing new inventrory controlling program and the contribution of this program for inventory management. In following part is performed the ABC analysis of invetory acording their proportion on the total consumption. Based on this part are formulated suggestions for setting up new consignment stocks and calculated the influence on the company asset management
VGA image generation with microcontroller
Polášek, Jan ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with generating image in VGA format using microcontroller. It’s aimed at microcontrollers series AVR from producer Atmel. Project contains VGA interface description, solves its connection to microcontroller’s output ports, further it contains connection diagram of image generation device with microcontroller Atmel ATmega324P, that I constructed during work on this project.. In project are analyzed fundamentals of image generating in microcontroller, synchronization of image using microcontroller’s internal counter, creating of simple graphic images and text and principles of generating colour images. Generation of text is analyzed in details, including source code for microcontroller. The result of this bachelor‘s thesis is functional image generator device.
Tool Design for Formula Student Suspension Stiffness Measurement
Polášek, Jan ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this work is to design available facility for testing of suspension stiffness primarily intended for Formula Student vehicle. Moreover, it is expected to be used for passenger vehicles as well. This work also contains description of issues of suspension stiffness testing and describes some of the facilities currently used for this kind of tests.
Learn Application for Internet Environment
Polášek, Jan ; Pavelka, Ondřej (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to give an overview of current state on the market of online learning systems and design a system for online language learning. In the next step designed system will be implemented using current open source technologies. A direction for the next development will be set, based on the results of testing by users.
Test of remanency in a sport damper in dependence on a material of magnetic circuit
Polášek, Jan ; Kubík, Michal (referee) ; Roupec, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with testing of maximal magnetic induction, remanence and B-H curve of different kinds of steels and application of this knowledge when choosing materials for magnetic circuit of magnetorheological (MR) dampers. The introduction of the thesis is intended to analyse knowledge of magnetorheological fluids and magnetic characteristics of different kinds of materials. Another part of bachelor’s thesis deals with the choice of steels of different chemical composition, heat treatment of steel, testing and comparing with FEM results. The aim of the thesis is also to design a clamping device for testing of magnetic circuit and to describe used measuring instruments and measurement methodology too.

Areal extremity of windstorms in the Czech Republic
Polášek, Jan Ferdinand ; Kašpar, Marek (advisor) ; Pop, Lukáš (referee)
Areal extremity of windstorms in the Czech Republic Abstract This thesis deals with the extremeness of events with strong winds in the Czech Republic in the period from 1961 to 2009. The first part is dedicated to the principles of air flow dynamics and to wind climatology. The second part describes theoretical distributions used for evaluating the extremeness of wind speed and presents various computation methods of distribution parameters and interpolation methods of converting point data to spatial information. At the end of this part, two modern indices are introduced: WEI (Weather Extremity Index) and SSI (Storm Severity Index) which use return periods and wind speeds for evaluating the extremeness of windstorms, respectively. The third part contains an application of the methods to the pre-processed data from meteorological stations. The fourth section presents the files of 50 most extreme and 50 seasonally most abnormal windstorms selected by both indices which determine in different ways the extremeness, the affected area and duration of each event. The spatial and temporal aspects of the events are discussed as well, along with their seasonal and interannual variability and causal synoptic conditions. Among extreme wind events, most of them are synoptic scale windstorms related to great horizontal...
Study of physical and chemical properties of surface-modified tungsten oxide
Polášek, Jan ; Mašek, Karel (advisor)
Title: Study of physical and chemical properties of surface-modified tungsten oxide Author: Jan Polášek Department: Department of Surface and Plasma Science Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Karel Mašek, Dr., Department of Surface and Plasma Science Abstract: This work can be divided into two parts. In the first part, we examine possibilities of preparation of monocrystalline tungsten and tungsten oxide na- noclusters by means of magnetron sputtering with gas aggregation. Clusters are prepared in the non-reactive (Ar) and reactive (Ar + O2) atmosphere and heated after the deposition or during the flight by IR radiation. Influence of oxygen in the aggregation process was described and possibilities of generating crystalline tungsten and tungsten oxide clusters were found. In the second part, we study reactivity of tungsten oxide layers, pure and doped with rare metals (Pt, Au), deposited on the silicon wafer and etched carbon, towards partial methanol oxi- dation. Influence of carbon substrate and metal doppants on reactivity was found and described, along with mofrological and chemical changes that occurs in the sample during the proces. Keywords: catalysis, tungsten oxide, clusters, partial oxidation of methanol, etched carbon 1
