Telework Abstract The thesis deals with the issue of remote working arrangements, and in particular with regard to the recent amendment to the Labour Code, which came into force partly in October 2023 and partly in January 2024. The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the amendment to the Labour Code, especially regarding its effectiveness and its ability to address the current challenges associated with remote working arrangements. The thesis provides a brief historical development of this institution in the Czech environment, explains the terminology used not only in the Czech but also in the European context and discusses the essential moments of the "new" institution of telework. These include the application for telework, the possibility of ordering such telework, the negotiation and termination of a telework agreement and its essential elements. Within the latter, it deals with the analysis of the place of performance of telework and the further definition of individual telework arrangements. New South District and its Connection to Svratka
Nedbalová, Monika ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
Brno has been considering moving the Main railway station for several decades. Countless urban plans have been done through several competitions, the new South District, which will be located north direction of today's Dolní nádraží station in the future. The architectural study, which was the subject of this diploma thesis, designs multifunctional object called Platform. The building could become part of the emerging South District. The base for the architectural study of the Platform was urban concept of South District designed by me as a pre-diploma thesis. The significance of the South District is comparable to the new Main Railway Station in Vienna surrounded by new district. Those opportunities were the foundation for designing compact urban structure with great variability of public spaces and buildings themselves. The new building is located on the Route of experiences, which is an alternative lane to the main boulevard from the Main Station to the centre of Brno. That starts at the railway station, leads through South District and its main square, the waterfront, through the islands of Svratka, to the park next to the river. Lane continues to the rediscovered railway viaduct and further to today's Main railway station. The viaduct was an inspiration for the architectural design, in the sense of material and shape. The mass of the building itself is divided horizontally into two parts. The lower, heavy masonry brick part of the market is visually separated from the upper objects that seem to levitate above the market. These three upper masses grow from the green roof of the market. Their function is already evident due to their facades. Upper part belongs to the two apartment buildings with a regular grid of south-west orientated windows and one coworking facility located in the northern corner of the Platform. The location of the building is significant. The views from the Platform are amazing - one side there is the Svratka River with island
Conversion of Bata Production Buildings
Nedbalová, Monika ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor) ; Skála, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of bachelor thesis is a conversion of Bata production buildings no. 24 and 25 to leasable units for small and medium business. The building site is located in the Svit area (Bata´s production areal) in city Zlín. This thesis is based on an architectural study prepared in the summer semester of the second year of study. The aim of the project is to demonstrate the usability of buildings intended for demolition. Objects are world-unique structures with very flexible frame structural system, which is usable for many purposes. This conversion to leasable units for business allows financial autonomy of the objects and predisposes them to permanent use. A system of removable partitions in the interior gives flexibility and universality to a units. The project involves the conversion of existing buildings no. 24 and 25 and new building no. 24/2. The building is designed as the main entrance, from which it is possible to access the two neighboring buildings by connecting bridges in the 3rd and 4th floors. Also provides restaurant and a seasonal rooftop terrace. The basic idea was to preserve valuable architectural expression of buildings in line with the modern concept. Valuable semi-public place is created between no. 24 and 25, whose function is to make more attractive central part of the city Zlín. New building is a landmark for employees and visitors, which integrates other services.
Usage of alternative methods and natural products as means to increase immunity in the adult population of the Czech Republic
NEDBALOVÁ, Martina
For my diploma thesis I have chosen the topic of utilization of alternative methods and natural remedies as means of increasing immunity of the adult population of the Czech republic. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I deal with the explanation of basic terms related to the immune system, function of the immune system and its division, namely to non-specific and specific immunity and further to humoral and cellular immunity. In a separate chapter I talk about natural resources and procedures that support the immune system. I touch on the effects of homeopathy, phytotherapy, hardening, gemmotherapy, forest therapy and the usage of the food supplements. The last chapter deals with the influence of lifestyle on the functioning of the immune system. I talk here mainly about things that have negative influence on the immune system, such as lack of physical activity, lack of sleep, substance abuse and I also mention the negative impact of excessive stress on human health. The theoretical part is followed by the practical park, for which I've set myself four main goals. The primary goal is to determine whether, and if so, what procedures and products are used by the adult population of the Czech republic to improve their immunity. Furthermore, I try to find out whether there are people in the population who visit general practicioner even when they catch just a common cold. The third goal is to find out what is the attitude of the adult population of the Czech republic towards the use of homeopatics for bolstering the immune system. The final goal of the thesis is to find out whether the are adults who used or are still regularly using some food supplement as a preventive measure for bolstering the immune system. Part of this thesis is a quantitative research based on the method of questioning. The questionnaire was compiled on the basis of my research assumptions and it was published online for anonymous completion. My diploma thesis can be used for better orientation in this problematics, as source of information concerning strengthening of immunity by natural means and last but not least also as a guide for direct application of some alternative ways into your lifestyle and thus strengthening your immunity.

Opinions of the adult population about mandatory and optional vaccination in the Czech Republic
NEDBALOVÁ, Martina
For my bachelor thesis, I have chosen the topic of Adult Population Opinions on Mandatory and Optional Vaccination in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with the history of vaccination, basic concepts related to vaccination, composition of vaccines, and distribution of vaccines. A separate chapter is vaccination under the National Immunization Program, i.e. all mandatory, regular vaccinations. Out of the optional vaccinations we take a closer look at vaccination against flu and vaccination against cervical cancer, which are vaccinations around which there are many unanswered questions. The last chapters deals with the side effects of vaccination and negative attitudes of people towards vaccination, where I quote mainly the views of doctors who are against vaccination. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part for which I've set three goals. The primary objective is to find out what is the opinion on compulsory and optional vaccinations in the Czech Republic in the adult population. I also try to find out whether there are people in the population who do not agree with the vaccination. The final objective is to find out what are the vaccination rates for optional vaccines. Part of the thesis is quantitative research based on the questioning method. The questionnaire is based on research assumptions and has been published on the Internet. In one month, 366 respondents answered the questionnaire. The results are presented in form of graphs. My bachelor thesis can help you to better understand the issues concerning vaccination, to deepen the knowledge and, last but not least, to reflect on and build your own opinion on this controversial topic.
