Novotná, Andrea ; Vávra, Martin (advisor) ; Gramskopf, Rostislav (referee)
The submitted diploma thesis focuses on the discursive analysis of period documents, drawn from archives, laws, parliamentary debates, other expert texts and researches. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find an answer to the question of how public policies approached to crime and punishment of Roma during the 20th century in the Czechoslovakia, later in the Czech Republic (from 1918 to 2000). The diploma thesis seeks to reveal how public policies approached the Roma as a minority in general, what information they based their decisions on their punishment, what measures they proposed for their re-education and assimilation, and how the public was informed through the periodical and therefore how it was formed public opinion about this minority. The analytical part of the work is based on the basic ideas of important sociologists, including Anthony Giddens, Erving Goffman, Pierre Bourdieu and Michel Foucault. Keywords: Roma, period documents, punishment, public policy, assimilation

Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department: Pharmaceutical Technology Student: Andrea Novotná Consultant: PharmDr. Jitka Mužíková, Ph.D. Title of the Diploma Thesis: A study of tableting materials and tablets with the combination of microcrystalline cellulose and mannitol for orally disintegrating tablets This thesis compares co-processed dry binder Avicel® HFE-102 containing 90 % microcrystalline cellulose and 10 % mannitol with a physical mixture of related dry binders, microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel® PH-102) and mannitol (Pearlitol® 100SD) in the ratio of 9:1. Flow properties, compressibility, lubricant sensitivity, tensile strength and disintegration time of tablets are evaluated. Compressibility is evaluated by means of the energy profile of compression process, and lubricant sensitivity by means of the lubricant sensitivity ratio. The results are also compared with the microcrystalline cellulose for direct compression Avicel® PH-102 alone. The flow properties of the co-processed dry binder Avicel® HFE-102 alone and the physical mixture were comparable. Avicel® HFE-102 showed higher values of the energy of plastic deformation, tensile strength of tablets, and a markedly lower lubricant sensitivity than the physical mixture of dry binders. Tablets with the...

The aim of this thesis is to ascertain men's motivation for university studies of social work at Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice (ZSF JCU). The attitude of these men to the studies is pointed out as well. The thesis aims to find out whether men studying this field of study want to be employed in this field. The research question set for this aim is: What are the men's main reasons for choosing the study of social work? The qualitative strategy of research was used to process the theoretical part of thesis. It was implemented by means of methods of questioning by semi-structured interview. Analysis of data was evaluated by means of grounded theory method. The sample consisted of 8 communication partners, who study or studied Social work in public administration at ZSF JCU. The research shows that men are motivated to the studies by desire to help and contact with other people. Equally, achievement of university education played an important role for their decision. They consider the degree to be a useful tool for finding employment. Men evaluated the study of social work, which resulted in a decision whether they would like to work in social service after their studies. Pensioners and their labour market participation
NOVOTNÁ, Andrea
The bachelor thesis covers the topic of position of pensioners in society and how they succeed in the labour market. The theoretical part consists of three basic sections. The first one is focused on seniors and their position in society. The second chapter is focused on lifelong learning and the third part includes the issue of pensioners' success in the labour market. In the empirical part there are evaluated the results of the research, whose main objective was to determine how the chosen retirees perceive problems within the labour market participation and if they have enough opportunities for their use. A part of the research is a finding if their work contributes to overall satisfaction, so how they are successful in society according to their opinion. To achieve these goals, the main research question was created. The question is: How different are responses of old age pensioners and disability pensioners to the labour market. To answer the main research question, the six sub questions were built. The qualitative research method was chosen for the research part of the thesis. Data collection was realized using semi-structured interviews. The research sample is consisted of eight communication partners, who are made up of two groups of pensioners. The first group consists of old age ones and the second group of disability pensioners, who are active in the labour market. They were chosen using the Snowball sampling technique. The results of research show that the group of old age pensioner perceive themselves positively in the labour market, while the majority of disability pensioners say that there is no place for old age pensioners in the labour market because they take work places to young people. The disability pensioners perceive themselves positively too. Only one of old age pensioners says that there is not so much interest in disability pensioners in the labour market. Both of the groups evaluate the opinion on lifelong learning in a positive way. The old age pensioners do not have any substantive problems with keeping their job. On the other hand the disability pensioners find some problems with keeping their job, especially when their state of health gets worse. More disability pensioners have experienced discrimination in the workplace than the old age pensioners. Both of groups have time for their hobbies, however disability pensioners have not enough energy for them because of spending long time in their work. A positive finding is that both groups of pensioners say that their position in society is good, however two of old age pensioners say that their status in society may get worse. Only one communication partner from the group of disability pensioners does not fell well in society.
