Alternative Fuels for CI-engines
Matoušek, Martin ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is alternative fuels applicable in diesel engines. First, a brief introduction to the diesel engine is given, then the individual alternative fuels are described. The most important findings about these fuels are summarized and a comparison with diesel fuel is made. Finally, each fuel is evaluated in terms of its advantages, disadvantages and applicability in practice.

Satellite Receiver with Integrated Antenna Tuner
Matoušek, Martin ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is focused on proposal of receiver with Integrated Antenna Tuner operating at 28 MHz. The design was primarily focused on simplicity and low power consumption. The receiver is adapted for SSB modulation. This work was realized for the transmission of audio signals. SSB modulation is far more efficient in terms of the radio spectrum used. First part of this thesis describes about the Antenna Tuner and block diagram of a receiver. Next parts are focused on proposal of individual blocks of the receiver, especially its most important parts. Finally, the overall evaluations of the design characteristics of SSB receivers with Integrated Antenna Tuner are discussed.

Vietnam War during the years 1964-1975 from the perspective of Rudé právo and New York Times
Matoušek, Martin ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Groman, Martin (referee)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to focus on key events of the conflict known as the Vietnam War through the perspective of the Czechoslovak and American periodicals i.e., the Rudé právo and the New York Times. By examining newspaper articles focusing on the most important events, it will help to understand the extent to which the subjective interpretation of the Czechoslovak communist periodicals differed from the American ones, and then to objectively put this information in a historical context. Given the period in which the war took place, it is assumed that both periodicals were to some extent subject to propaganda and did not inform their readers objectively. The work consists of three main parts, the first part outlines the historical and political situation in Vietnam and the United States. It then analyses the researched periodicals in a historical context. The second part focuses on the qualitative analysis of selected newspaper articles from both periodicals and their subsequent comparison. The third part then focuses on the final analysis of the data obtained in the second part and evaluates with what accuracy the information in the articles with the historical context coincided and whether the periodicals were objective in their information.
Spiral conveyor
Matoušek, Martin ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of a spiral screw conveyor. In the introduction, a research is carried out, which is focused on the description of existing design solutions of conveyors. At the same time the main parts of the spiral screw conveyor are described. With regard to the basic characteristics of the conveyed materials, the applicability of the conveyor is analysed. Subsequently, the material to be conveyed is selected. Furthermore, a functional calculation is carried out, which corresponds to the information given in the literature. Based on the results of the calculation, the individual components are selected. A control strength calculation is carried out for the force-stressed components. Finally, a detailed design of the conveyor structure is made, which is outlined in a drawing of the spiral assembly and weldment.
