The theory and practice of body culture in the context of andragogy

The thesis deals with the relationship of adult's education and physical culture. It focuses on the growing role of education, especially adults, in contemporary society and formulates the idea of historical transformation of formerly time-and age-limited education in contemporary lifelong learning. In relation to that, the thesis describes the culture, especially the physical, and its link to the lifelong learning. This fact is considered from a historical and a theoretical perspective. Based on that, the thesis examines the relationship of adult's education and physical culture in the general theoretical and currently practical point of view. The importance of this investigation evaluates for potential adult's education knowledge application in physical culture and possible social function enhancing.

Classification of simulation and gaming in adult education

Jan Froněk, disertační práce, Katedra andragogiky a personálního řízení FF UK v Praze Abstract The dissertation thesis presents varieties of games and simulations in the field of adult education and specializes particularly in role-play and simulation classifications, with the emphasis on presenting case examples of the applications of the methods. To reach the objectives of the dissertation, first of all resources analysis had been made (both scientific resources and practical toolkits). Then the acquired knowledge was reframed into a terminological framework that had existed before, yet had not been defined specifically enough and explicitly for the field of adult education. The second pillar of the thesis represents a survey that was conducted among adult educators. The thesis consists of six main chapters: it is introduced by a general chapter on games, plays and their characteristics and definition (also from adult educator's perspective). A chapter on simulation and gaming classification follows (Chap. 2), from which the largest part of this work is drawn: a detailed categorization of role-play (Chap. 3) and simulation (Chap. 4) varieties. The Analysis of Working Environment in terms of Diversity Management in Corporate Practice.

The present doctoral thesis deals with diversity management and clarifies its concepts. The objectives of the thesis include comprehensive characterisation of diversity management as an element of corporate culture, description of roles of managers, departments of human resources and the role of the top management. Additional goals include charting the current scheme of diversity training and describing the inter-relations between corporate culture and diversity management. The chapter devoted to concrete case studies in companies which are focusing on diversity management or equal opportunities explores the current situation in the field with the aim to provide its analysis and evaluation. The thesis consists of two sections (focused on the theoretical framework and the research (case studies itself) and comprises seven thematic chapters. Throughout the thesis, interrelationships with management of human resources, corporate culture, management-oriented training, as well as the appreciation of diversity are highlighted. Benefit analysis of employee management and development by competencies

The paper presents the benefits of employee management and development by competencies. The work has a theoretical and empirical character and it is dividend into six parts. The first two parts focus on the theories of an organizational strategy and the concepts of the competency approach in HR management and development in general. The practical application of the organizational strategy and competency approach in HR processes of an international company Cemex is critically observed in the third and fourth part. The analysis conducted on the basis of a "focus groups" among managers of Cemex constitutes the fifth part of this paper. The purpose of this analysis is to objectify the benefits of competency approach of the management and development in this organization. The sixth part summarizes the conclusions of the paper. The paper discusses the benefits of employee management and development by competencies primarily with focus on managers. Implementing entrepreneurship education into the system of education

This thesis on the ways of implementation of entrepreneurship education in the Czech business school system describes entrepreneurship and education as two such extraordinary opportunities that need to be leveraged and interconnected if we are to develop the human capital required for building the societies of the future. It sees the entrepreneurship education as the engine fuelling innovation, employment generation and economic growth. The thesis consolidates existing knowledge and good practices in entrepreneurship education around the area that covers the lifelong learning process, starting with youth individuals. It searches for the effective goals of Czech educational system that prepare the current and future generations of entrepreneurs, workers, teachers, managers and individuals with the skills needed to succeed and help others. The research on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills is provided. The core methodology components contain observation, questionnaire survey, school documentation analysis, personal managed conversation and statistical interpretation using the method of T-test. The thesis consolidates sharing and development of innovative new tools, approaches and delivery methods suitable for entrepreneurship courses. Achieving the EU goals, it also urges didactic action and provides recommendations to teachers, government, school management and universities on the development and delivery of effective education programmes for entrepreneurship. Finally, the thesis forms the objectives of entrepreneurship education as a critical component for addressing the global challenges of the 21st century. They should be clear from the start and outcomes should be measured to ensure that the intended results are being delivered.
