Track Bridge Interaction
Kapounek, Jan ; Kubelka, Jan (referee) ; Plášek, Otto (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of different approaches to the evaluation of the combined response of bridge structure and continuous welded rail on 5 planned bridges on high-speed railway in the Czech Republic in the stage of Land Use Permission. The output of the analysis of these bridges is the indication and description of problematic points occurring in the methodology as well as the development of recommended steps for the calculation of the combined response of structure and track to variable actions by the method of Complex Analysis for bridges on high-speed lines in the Czech Republic. Based on this recommended procedure, a simple bridge model is created.
Girder concrete bridge
Kubelka, Jan ; Klusáček, Ladislav (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is dealing with design of the road brigde on the road III/1219 over the river Lomnice. Three possible variants were developed, the chosen one is girder concrete bridge. A calculation has been done by hand, part of the thesis has been performed using Scia Engineer. Results were compared. The construction has been considered acconding to Eurocode.
Bridge across railway line
Kubelka, Jan ; Neudert, Zdeněk (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
The final thesis is focused on design of road bridge over a railway track. The design is processed in tree options - a cast-in-place concrete structure, brigde as a haunched beam and a prefabricated ginger bridge. The third option was chosen. To model the structure and to obtain the internal forces is used FEM computational software Scia Engineer 15.1. All calculations were performed in accordance with Eurokode.
Cultural Image of Northern Bohemia in Contemporary Czech Literature
Kubelka, Jan ; Čeňková, Jana (advisor) ; Malý, Radek (referee)
This thesis focuses on literary representation of North Bohemia region in five prose works of contemporary Czech literature. These pieces consist of Grandhotel (2006) by Jaroslav Rudiš, Daniel Petr's Straka na šibenici (2015), Jakub Dotlačil's Až zhasneme (2019), Veronika Bendová's Vytěženej kraj (2019) and Tři kapitoly (2020) by Daniel Hradecký. First part of the thesis follows geographical, historical, and socioeconomic context of North Bohemia. Second part firstly analyses the difference between literary and non- literary reality, with focus on the theory of possible worlds. Furthermore, it covers key concept of space while using perspective of structuralism and narratology combined with perspective of thematology. In practical part of the thesis selected literary works are being analysed. This interpretation is based on presented literary and media theory and on the analysis of critics and reviews published in media. The aim of the thesis is to summarize individual analysis and to map, how North Bohemia region is being presented by contemporary Czech literature.
Original literary reportage and its theoretical definition
Kubelka, Jan ; Čeňková, Jana (advisor) ; Maňák, Vratislav (referee)
This thesis compiles the phenomenon of literary reportage, also known as the Polish School of Reportage. Furthermore, the thesis covers the question of fiction and fictional narrative in the genre, it applies theoretical knowledge of narratology and considers the significance of fiction in literary reportage. The second part of the thesis is original reportage picturing the return of wolves into Czech nature.
Teoretické studium interakce derivátů helicenu s DNA
KUBELKA, Jiří
This thesis conducts a research on the field of interactions between ds-DNA and [6]helicene and its two derivatives using computational chemistry methods, PM6-D3H4X and DFT (BLYP functional). We focused on two main bonding motifs, i.e. intercalation and groove binding, and we evaluated their interaction energies via counterpoise method. The binding is weakly stereospecific and the intercalation is preferred to groove binding. Besides, we discussed applicability of used semi-empirical method for computing of such complexes.

Isotopic labeling, here exemplified by 13C substitution on the amide C=O group, can allow site-specific determination of peptide conformation with IR. Examples of helix and sheet (beta-hairpin) structures are reviewed.
