Elemental analysis of different currants varieties
Kovaříková, Tereza ; Divišová, Radka (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the elemental analysis of different varieties of red (Ribes rubrum), white (Ribes vulgare) and black currant (Ribes nigrum). The theoretical part contains botanical description of each variety of this small fruit, then description of analyzed elements and their function in human metabolism. Then there are described analytical methods suitable for elemental analysis in food. The experimental part is focused on the preparation of sample and its subsequent analysis by spectroscopic teqniques. All of the currant samples were given by Research and breeding institute of pomology Holovousy L.td. All the samples were mineralized by the wet ashing in concentrated HNO3 and analyzed by the ICP–OES teqnique. Final concentrations of each elements (Na, K, Ca, Mg, P, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn) were stastistically compared by Tukey’s multiple comparation method and then have been compared with the results reported in literature.
Determination of the nutritional properties of paprika of different geographic origin
Kovaříková, Tereza ; Vespalcová, Milena (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the analysis of nutritional properties of paprika condiment with different geographic origin. The theoretical part contains botanical description of red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.), its chemical composition, process of production of paprika and then they are described analytical methods suitable for determination of fundamental nutrional properties. Experimental part is focused on the preparation of samples and their analysis. In total, 11 samples were selected for the experiment, 5 of them had a protected designation of origin. These samples were from Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgary, Romania, Turkey and Spain. The Soxhlet extraction was used for the analysis of the fat content, Kjeldahl method was used to determine gross protein. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was chosen to determine carbohydrates and capsaicin. Induction-coupled plasma emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) was used for elemental analysis. The results were compared with each other and with available databases and literature. For comparing and finding certain connections, the principal component analysis (PCA) was selected.
The importance and possibilities of career guidance
Kovaříková, Tereza ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vaněček, David (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis entitled "The importance and possibilities of career guidance" was to find out and describe the position of a career adviser and the possibilities and barriers of career guidance. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, namely: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on three main thematic units. In the first chapter, the concept of career guidance is defined, target groups, forms, diagnosis, limits, possibilities and barriers of career guidance are listed. The second chapter is devoted to a career adviser, code of ethics, competences, specializations, work activities and psychohygiene for career advisers. The third chapter is focused on education of career advisers and their further education. The methodology of the research investigation is described in the practical part. A case study was chosen as the research design. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with three career advisers. The interviews were focused on five topics, namely: position of career adviser, possibilities of career guidance, barriers of career guidance, education and further education of career adviser. After using the open coding technique, the analysed data from the interviews were interpreted, the results were summarized and a discussion of...
Housing as a lifestyle - housing estates in Prague and in Bratislava
Kovaříková, Tereza ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Šmied, Miroslav (referee)
Annotation: In my thesis, I would like to discuss the development of housing estates in Prague and in Bratislava. The earliest settlement in Prague was built at Zelená liška (" Green Fox") in the years 1954-55. For the first housing estate in Bratislava the experimental residental complex on Rajčianská ulice ("Rajčianská street", 1958-1961) is considered. The new built settlement, was presented as a new, idyllic and socialist housing. Housing estates should solve the housing crisis, but rapid and inexpensive construction declined on quality. Former builders gave 40 years servise life. In practise, however, the idea of the reality of the past, yet prafab used today. Title is Housing as a lifestyle - housing estate in Prague and in Bratislava Keywords: architecture prefab housing, panel construction, housing development, urban prefab housing, new socialist city
