Design of prestressed box gireder bridge
Hofírek, Radovan ; Jurík, Michal (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis deals with bridging of a lowland valley and the creek Dolanský in the section Jánovce – Jablonov on the Slovak motorway D1. Four variants of the bridge have been developed. Subsequently prestressed single box gilder with large overhangs that are supported by precast struts was selected as the most suitable variant. The construction of the bridge will take place in a formwork suspended on overhead launching scaffolding. The static assessment according to the Europan standard has been drawn up for this variant. The load of the bridge is projected according to the ČSN EN 1991-2 - Traffic loads on bridges and the dimensoin of concrete structures according to the ČSN EN 1992-2 - Concrete bridges - Design and detailing rules. The calculation of load is done using computer software SCIA Engineer 10.1 and Midas Civil.
Bridge across the motorway
Jetmar, Ondřej ; Jurík, Michal (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a bridge structures panning the highway. While designing the structure, it was vital to consider and implement the needs for both the aesthetic and economical desires and requirements. Of the two design solutions in the thesis, the one of the three-spaninteg rated spandrel beam is chosen. The main goal is a thorough design of the a forementioned load bearing structure.
Autonomous and dispatching control of distributed power generating plants operated in the HV distribution system
Dvořáček, Jiří ; Jurík, Michal (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
Theses focuses on the evaluation of the possible means of active and reactive power control of generating units connected to medium voltage. First part summarizes analysis of Czech Republic medium voltage distribution grid. It summarizes means of autonomous and dispatcher control of generating units with respect to European Comission directive RfG, standard ČSN EN 50549-2 and national implementation PPDS. Following parts provide description of generating unit and distribution grid models used for simulation in PSCAD. Last part focuses on evaluation of results obtained via simulating steady-state scenarios as well as continuous simulation.
Skyscraper "EVO"
Juřík, Michal ; Velek, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The study offers a solution of a high-altitude object in Brno in the city part called Veveří. There are proposed two towers which are designed in a simple cubic form ( their heights are 154 a 80 metres ) rising from the surrounding buildings. Towers are mutually interconnected by lower object in the same morphology. In the object are situated administrative spaces, hotel, restaurant, coffee bar, penthouse, congress hall, vertical gallery, painters´ incubator and parking house. Particular functions can be connected because of layout plan, or can be used as separate units. The interpretation of the facade of the object is to highlight verticality, due to the raster and increasing reflecting surface of glass segments verticality and evoke by this a feeling of a tower ending in the middle of clouds.
Highway flyover bridge
Repta, Michal ; Jurík, Michal (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with a design of the bridge for highway D47 crossing the valley. From three alternative solution is chosen solution of a double-girder. The longitudinal direction of the structure is designed as eight span structure. The lenght of the spans is 25 + 6 x 35 + 25 m. Detailed design of the structure selected variants of the bridge is carried out according to limit states including consideration of the impact of construction on the bridge of his design. static model is carried out as a whip. It is elaborated a detailed structural analysis and it is developed drawings and visualization of the bridge.
Pedestrian bridges formed by a flat arch
Jurík, Michal ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
This doctoral thesis focuses on the research of the pedestrian bridges formed by the flat arch. To understand the basic static behaviour of the flat arch it was necessary to make a study of the development of the direct flat arch as footbridge with large span and the impact of stiffness on its camber. For the mathematical modeling FEM software ANSYS were used. The calculation has shown that a design of purely concrete flat arch would demand enormous bending stiffness, which can be achieved only through a massive cross-section. The findings gained in this chapter were further used to design a unique pedestrian bridge formed by the curved in plan flat arch, where to transfer of the large bending moments a steel pipe was designed. Several variants with different span and rise of the arch in plan were tested. From the tested variants was then selected footbridge with a span of 45 m and with the rise of the arch 10 m, which seemed to be the best solution according to the calculations and it was further analyzed in detail. The studied structure is formed by curved concrete slab that is stiffened through the steel brackets on the inner side of a steel tube with a graded thickness. The external cables that are situated in the handrail pipe balance the dead load torsional moment. Designed structure and the static analysis procedure were verified on a fully functional 1:6 scale model. The thesis describes the model analogy used for the design of the model, its structural design and its implementation. Load tests on the model confirmed correctness of the design of the proposed curved in plan pedestrian bridge, its high carrying capacity and the accuracy of the developed procedure of static analysis. Results and experiences acquired from the design and the realization of model are the basis for a practical realization of studied structures. The last part of the thesis deals with the possibility of replacement of the steel components with concrete in pedestrian bridges formed
Online machine translation of technical texts
Juřík, Michal ; Smutný, Milan (referee) ; Šťastná, Dagmar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses and then tests the methods of evaluating two machine translators, namely from Google and Microsoft. Based on established criteria, from data received each translator is assigned their error rate. When evaluating translators, the work focuses not only on whether the translator was able to translate a set of texts correctly (spelling, stylistics), but also whether the professional terminology together with the idea behind the sentence corresponds to the original text. In conclusion, the obtained error rate data enable to assess the given translators for suitability in terms of their usage.
