The Relationship between Curator and Educator in Museums of Art

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of relations and cooperation between curators and educators in art galleries. The theoretical part introduces both professions, presents their work activities and qualification and competence requirements. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on a brief overview of the ongoing transformations in exhibition institutions, specifically describing the related new institutionalism and the educational turn. The practical part presents empirical research, the main aim of which is to find out what the collaboration between curators and educators in selected art galleries currently looks like. The data for the research are collected through semi-structured interviews with curators and educators from the galleries; questions are directed at mutual collaboration as well as previous experience, education and work background. The information obtained in the interviews during face-to-face meetings is analysed and interpreted together with information from the websites of the selected galleries. The research shows that all the galleries surveyed offer a variety of active programmes for different target groups, which shows a reflection of the ongoing changes and a certain shift towards an educational turn. Gallery education in regional gallery

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of gallery education and its importance in the educational process. It examines which principles to follow in the realization, so that education in the gallery is beneficial and developing. These findings are linked in the bachelor's thesis to the offer of educational programs of various forms in The Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Furthermore, the bachelor's thesis deals with a specific exhibition, which was created in The Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen in cooperation with the publishing house Baobab and is called BAOABC. How and why is a book for children created. Worksheets were prepared for this exhibition by the educational department of The Gallery of West Bohemia, which are assessed in terms of the didactic transformation of the contents. The method used is a concept analysis and a three-stage diagram. Based on these analyzes, the bachelor's thesis also contains recommendations and suggestions how to work with educational materials in the subsequent teaching of art education. Influence of religion on family behaviour in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to analyse current relationship between religion and family behaviour within the Czech Republic, since religious associations mostly tend to influence people positively - considering current low fertility rate, high divorce rate and increasing percentage of children born outside marriage. In the Czech Republic, there is majority of Catholic Churches because of historical evolution. The relationship between religiosity and family behaviour is analysed by regression analysis, which includes more socio-demographic and economic indicators to minimalize misrepresentation. Results indicate no influence of religiosity regarding current fertility rate due to generalisation to higher level of urban settlement - religious people have more children only at historical point of view. No influence was proved also regarding marriage rate because its variability was hard to capture by used predictor variables. However, religion has beneficial effect on induced abortion rate, divorce rate and share of children born outside marriage.
