Variance and Covariance Analysis with an application to financial data
Hájková, Anna ; Zichová, Jitka (advisor) ; Hudecová, Šárka (referee)
This Bachelor Thesis is dedicated to analysis variance and co- variance with and application to financial data. The aim of this thesis is to inform about multidimensional ANOVA and to show its connection with one- dimensional ANOVA, which is a part of standart statistical textbooks. Other part describes the analysis of covariance. For the better understanding, most of methods are applicated to financial data in the program Mathematica 8.0 1

Comparison of functions of sporttesters designed to guide and control parameters of movement in water
Hájková, Anna ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Peslová, Eva (referee)
Title: Comparison of functions of sports testers designed for control and monitoring of parameters of movement in water Objectives: Comparison and evaluation of individual functions of selected sport-testers in different types of swimming training. Methods: The research group consisted of one probande, a student of Charles University FTVS. In the research, we chose a controlled observation method to detect and compare the individual functions of selected sports testers over three types of swimming training. Results: Based on an analysis of the accuracy of the recording of observed quantities for individual sporttesters, we found that the sporttesters Polar and Garmin can be used both to manage and guide and control swimming training. However, the final record needs to be supplemented by the exact sum of the swimming metres, which in turn refines the results of the average swimming speed. The Swimmo sports tester was rated the worst, based on inaccurate measurements of individual quantities and instrument control. In an overall assessment of all devices and their parameters, the Sporttester Polar was the best. Keywords: heart rate, swimming training, Garmin, Polar, Swimmo

Based on the research, the thesis answers questions about personnel responsibilities in managing company social media profiles and introduces ethical codes and official internal rules they have to follow whereas the conclusion is that most of Czech news institution haven't implemented any of those yet.
Multivariate ANOVA as a tool for the analysis of financial and economical data
Hájková, Anna ; Zichová, Jitka (advisor) ; Anděl, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis is dedicated to the analysis of variance with an application to real data, which is used to the comparison of means of several random samples. The aim of this thesis is to inform about multidimensional ANOVA. The teoretical part contains a description of two approaches, namely LR test and UI test. These tests are described in detail and then applied to three hypothesis. For the better understanding, the methods, studied in the theoretical part, are applied to a dataset of clients of an insurance company. The program Mathematica 9.0 was chosen as an appropriate software tool for the analysis of data.
Transnational Identity of Viennese Czechs
Hájková, Anna ; Hájek, Martin (advisor) ; Spalová, Barbora (referee)
This thesis focuses on different forms of national identity of the first generation Czech migrants in Vienna from the perspective of transnational theory. It is based on analysis of thematically oriented biographical interviews with the group of 15 immigrants. The data come from research conducted in spring 2015 in Vienna. Firstly, the thesis summarizes the history of migration from Czechoslovakia to Austria. Secondly, the concepts of transnationalism, identity and transnational identity are explained as they serve as theoretical basis for the research methodology and analysis of data. First part of analysis explores topics important for decision, whether it is possible to designate the migrants as transnationals. These topics and practices include language, relation toward Czech Republic, political participation, interest in culture, traditions, gastronomy, social contacts, discrimination and loyalty, feelings of pride and shame and citizenship. The second part of analysis introduces the different forms of national identity based on self-understanding of migrants. Following this, the examples of respondents and organisations show the transnational identity of some of them which is based on their lived identity and everyday practices.
