Fractional composition of metal ions in humic gels
Potočková, Jana ; Gregorová, Eva (referee) ; Klučáková, Martina (advisor)
This thesis deals with bond strength of metal ions in humic gels. Several samples of humic acids were studied to consider influence of samples isolation process and their consequent characteristics on bond strength of metal ions in their complexes. Some functional groups was blocked by methylation at some samples. Amount of active functional groups in individual samples was determined by standard titration methods. Metal ions bound in humic complexes were divided into several fractions by extraction with different reagents (distilled water, 1M MgCl2, 1M HCl and 0,025M NH4EDTA). Two extraction methods were used: sequential and fractional. During the fractional extraction leaching of metal ions always proceeds in single agents from original komplex, whereas during the sequential extraction leaching proceeds gradually in all extraction agents in order according to rising afinity of agents, i.e. bond strength of metal ions in samples. Amount of metal ions in leaches after extractions was analysed by UV-VIS spektrometry.
Interactions of humic hydrogels with cupric ions
Lang, David ; Gregorová, Eva (referee) ; Klučáková, Martina (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with humic acid gels and their ability to bind metallic ions on their surface. In the thesis, there was studied the adsorption of copper ions on the provided gels. The gels were prepared by dissolving the humic acid in sodium hydroxide or sodium tripolyphosphate and then precipitated with hydrochloric acid or metal chlorides. Adsorption was studied at different concentrations of the copper (II) chloride and measured on UV-VIS spectrophotometer. It was proved from measuring that gels made from sodium tripolyphosphate are adsorbing less copper ions than the ones prepared by sodium hydroxide. Also, the copper ions are bound with smaller force on gels prepared with polyphosphate. Gels precipitated with magnesium chloride adsorb much more than gels precipitated with acid, thus in the case of gels sequestered metal ions extracted higher.
Rheology of humic gel
Smilek, Jiří ; Gregorová, Eva (referee) ; Klučáková, Martina (advisor)
The main aim of the bachelor thesis was to test several modifications of humic hydrogels’ preparation method and to discuss their effects on mainly viscoelastic properties of resulting materials. Main conditions, tested in the experimental part, were presence of acidic impurities from the gelation step in the gel and an addition of cations with a higher valence during or after the preparation step. The most important evaluated parameters of the materials were inner pH, solid content and mainly basic viscoelastic characteristics.
Experimental and computer modeling diffusion of low-molecular solutes in gel – based carriers
Masár, Lukáš ; Gregorová, Eva (referee) ; Sedláček, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on combination of experimental study and computer modelling of diffusion processes in gel phases. The aim of experimental part of the diploma thesis was to test and optimize the setting of the diffusion coefficient in gel medium by using the method of horizontal diffusion cells, commonly used for study of diffusion processes through membranes. Specific description of experiments was to determinate the impact of presence of reactive component in inert hydro-gel carrier on final value of diffusion coefficient of low-molecular model diffusion probe. The defined dependencies were subsequently combined with computer simulation of diffusion process in a properly designed model in order to determinate the experimentally unavailable system parameters. The stated combination of both approaches was proved to be an appropriate instrument for studying of hydro-gels with a wide potential especially in the field of preparation of hydro-gel carriers with controlled release of active substances.
Study of diffusion of cupric ions in humic gel by methods of diffusion cells
Hrubá, Pavla ; Gregorová, Eva (referee) ; Klučáková, Martina (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focussed on study of diffusion of cupric ions in humic gel by diffusion cells policy. The aim of this work was to introduce the diffusion cells to examination of transport metal ions in humic gels and to compare reached accomplishments with last diffusion’s experiments. The main advantage of this experimental technic was an automatization of all the gauging operation.
CSR in the Czech Republic - Case study ČSOB
Gregorová, Eva ; Dohnalová, Marie (advisor) ; Surynek, Alois (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of corporate social responsibility while drawing mainly on the political theories of CSR formation. Its theoretical part discusses CSR concept in general, depicting its contributions as well as its seaminess. Further it focuses on the application of CSR in the European and Czech context. Although a lot of companies within the Czech Republic identify themselves with the idea of CSR, ČSOB bank is one of the first ones that applied CSR strategically and is considered as one of the leaders in the field. Case study in the empirical part of the thesis examines specific comprehension of CSR in ČSOB and asses it. In the very end CSR in ČSOB is being confronted with the context of CSR in Czech bank sector.
