Irena Fialová, CSc. ABSTRACT This thesis analysis possibilities and directions of the development of digital literacy by preschool children. It describes the ways of creation and the construction of children's information-technology competencies in preparation for the first grade of elementary school. The theoretical part defines some basic terms such as digital literacy, ICT literacy and others, it describes specifics of development of the child's preschool and shows the possibilities of using of digital technology in nursery school. The practical part of the thesis investigates how information technologies are incorporated into the education of children in nursery school; it investigates development of information-technology competencies of children of preschool age by work on computer and by interview of children and of their parents. On the basis of the discovered facts are showed ways for the development of the information-technological competencies of preschool children. Spatial analysis for optimization of student assignments in cartography Abstract The aim of the diploma thesis is to perform a multi-criteria analysis of large spatial data, which will result in the identification of a predetermined number of the variants of the territory, which are optimal for creating the student assignments. The main part of the thesis is to design and to calculate the spatial evaluation criteria. In the theoretical part, a theory of multi-criteria analysis and examples of its use in general in geoinformatics and assessment of landscape potential are presented. The practical part is devoted to the design of own methodology for assessment of the territory from the point of view of suitability for processing of student tasks, including its application over the territory of the Czechia in order to obtain information about the territory. Multi-criteria analysis was divided into two steps: pre-selection of the territory based on Boolean evaluation and subsequent sorting of the variants from the most suitable to the least appropriate using the TOPSIS method. The scales of the individual criteria were determined by the scoring method. Analysis of data sources for production of large-scale map of a small municipality Abstract The aim of this thesis is to acquire, evaluate and eventually adjust the available spatial data, which are suitable for production of large-scale maps. The main task is to collect the data, describe them and identify their strengths and weaknesses. Attention is focused on datasets covering the territory of Bohemia. The practical part of this thesis covers the municipality of Tetín in the district of Beroun. It is a complex work, which is composed of an evaluation of the existing cartographic production, designing a suitable symbology and a production of a first detailed map of the municipality. The first part of this thesis evaluates the already existing cartographic production, using the method of verbal non-quantified assessment with a focus on the content of the map. The next part describes various data sets, their origin and accuracy. In cases of datasets collisions there is a suggestion of a solution presented for each case. The main result of this thesis is a clear overview of a preparation of all the data in GIS, a list of weaknesses and errors which were encountered in the data, a creation of a new hypsography and an update of the spatial data for the municipality of Tetín.
