The development of mutual economic relationships between the United States and China

This bachelor thesis describes the development of economic relationships between the United States and China. The main target of the thesis is to confirm or disprove, whether China represents a threat to US hegemony and if the disparity in merchandise trade of goods between China and the United States with its impact on current account deficit may be one of the proves of this peril. Hegemony is a combination of soft and hard powers, therefore the thesis analyses economy and its competiveness, military power and culture attractiveness, in order to determine current and prospective global leader.
China’s luxury market and its specifications

China has become world's second biggest luxury market and is aiming to become the first therefore is very interesting place to do business. Goal of my thesis was to describe China's luxury market and it's interesting specifications and then ask the question if it has potencial to grow in the future. In my first Chapter i wrote aboute concept, history and values related to China's luxury market. In my second chapter I decribed reasons of rapid growth of this market in past few years and in my last third chapter I described some of the most important things to have in mind when entering China's luxury market.
Commodity structure of the BRICS countries trade and it's development

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to define and describe commodity structures of trade, which are key for every single BRICS economy and which evince the highest rate of interconnection and complementarity within BRICS grouping. The methods of comparison, description and analysis were used in order to reach this aim. Great emphasis is put on examination of imports and export of BRICS countries in 2008 -- 2012 period. From the point of view of the commodity structure division, the Standard International Trade Classification -- SITC was used in this thesis. Also the most important socio-economic indicators related to BRICS countries are stated in thesis.
Financial Crisis in the USA 2007-2009: Impacts on the Foreign Trade with China

The purpose of this thesis is to summarize financial crisis, that took place in the United States of America between years 2007-2009 and to state its impact on the American foreign trade with a special focus on the trade with China. In the first chapter, the term "financial crisis" is defined and then the origin and the development of the global financial crisis, that started in 2007 on the American real estate market, are retraced. The second chapter begins with a general characterization of a trade balance, and subsequently focuses on the American trade balance. Firstly, the development of the American trade balance between years 1985-2012 is analyzed. Secondly, the changes in the American trade balance during the crises period between years 2007-2009 are unveiled. To conclude this chapter, the American foreign trade is characterized and the most significant changes in trade with single commodities during the crisis are highlighted. At the beginning of the third chapter the foreign trade between the USA and China, as well as, the development of their mutual trade balance are examined. At the end of the thesis the analysis of trade data between the USA and China is carried out and the commodities, that were influenced by the crisis the most and the least, are found.
Foreign Direct Investment in China: Factors, Trends and Risks of Entering the Market

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse current trends of foreign direct investment flows to China and to explain Chinese strategy of FDI promotion for the upcoming years for the benefit of foreign investors, using an example of several selected areas with investment potential. For this purpose the main specifics of Chinese market are summerised which describe various conditions regarding entering the market, including evaluation of certain investment risks linked with it. Therefore the focus is intentionally on foreign direct investment to People's Republic of China, not on Chinese investments abroad.
Barriers to Foreign Direct Investment in Japan

This thesis deals with the issue of the low stock of foreign direct investment in Japan. The aim is to identify the principle causes of this phenomenon and to suggest possible solutions. The barriers to foreign direct investment follow the methodology of APEC and their identification in the context of the Japanese economy is based on surveys amongst the managers of transnational corporations conducted by the Japanese governmental organization JETRO. The next issue, which is discussed in the thesis are the foreign direct investments as a phenomenon in the world economy, especially their impact on the economy.
China and the USA: the way to global leadership?

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the economic development of China and the USA. The work is divided into three chapters. The first part aims only at the People's Re-public of China. This work explores the reasons for contemporary economic success and evaluates the efforts of the Communist Party of China to bring China closer to the world especially in economic matters. The second chapter is completely devoted to the economic development of the United States of America. Attention is especially focused on economic development at the turn of the millennium. The successful nineties of the last century were replaced with a lot of crises in the twenty-first century. The concluding chapter looks for answer to the question which of these countries is on the better way to reach the first place in the world of the economic view. Information in my bachelor's thesis comes from Czech and foreign printed and web sources.
Rise of India in the World Economy

This thesis aims to confirm positive impact of economic reforms on the position of India in the global economy. First chapter focuses on initial conditions and stabilization and development objectives of Indian economy in the beginning of nineties. Second chapter describes instruments and realization of these objectives with regard to domestic economy and foreign trade as well. Third chapter addresses current state of Indian economy. It is also comparing macroeconomic data with data stated in the first chapter and describes international relations and outlines future changes in Indian economy.
Barriers of bilateral trade between China and USA

The topic of this bachelor thesis and the main aim is analysis of barriers of the bilateral trade and investment opportunities between United States and China. These barriers and restrictions are the main reasons why these two countries come into conflicts and their economic relationship becomes acute. A side aim of the bachelor thesis is the exploration through analysis of the chosen problems and disputes, in which sphere and in what kind of tone is the cooperation of China and USA heading.
One Child Policy and Its Impacton China's Population

The objective of this bachelor's thesis is the overall characteristic of the one-child policy in China. The first part of my work focuses on the creation of policy, its development and current form. This part describes the likely development of family planning policy in China in the future. The next part of the thesis concentrates on the organisation of the one child policy. The main point of this thesis is to describe the impact that the one child policy had on the development of China's population.
