Tato práce se zabývá problematikou nízkého stavu přímých zahraničních investic v Japonsku. Cílem je identifikovat hlavní příčiny tohoto jevu a následně navrhnout možná řešení. Překážky vstupu přímých zahraničních investorů jsou vymezeny podle metodiky organizace APEC a jejich identifikování v kontextu japonské ekonomiky vychází z průzkumů mezi manažery transnacionálních korporací prováděných japonskou vládní organizací JETRO. Dále jsou v práci diskutovány přímé zahraniční investice jakožto fenomén ve světové ekonomice, a to především jejich dopad na ekonomiku. This thesis deals with the issue of the low stock of foreign direct investment in Japan. The aim is to identify the principle causes of this phenomenon and to suggest possible solutions. The barriers to foreign direct investment follow the methodology of APEC and their identification in the context of the Japanese economy is based on surveys amongst the managers of transnational corporations conducted by the Japanese governmental organization JETRO. The next issue, which is discussed in the thesis are the foreign direct investments as a phenomenon in the world economy, especially their impact on the economy.
