Bakalářská práce popisuje vývoj vzájemných hospodářských vztahů mezi USA a Čínou. Hlavním cílem práce je potvrdit nebo vyvrátit, jesli Čína přestavuje hrozbu americké hegemonii a jestli disparita mezinárodního obchodu mezi USA a Čínou se svým vlivem na deficit běžného účtu může být jednou z důkazů tohoto ohrožení.Hegemonie je kombinací soft power a hard power, a proto práce analyzuje ekonomii a konkurenceschpnost, vojenskou sílu a kulturní atraktivnost, aby ukázala na současného a perspektivního globálního hráče. This bachelor thesis describes the development of economic relationships between the United States and China. The main target of the thesis is to confirm or disprove, whether China represents a threat to US hegemony and if the disparity in merchandise trade of goods between China and the United States with its impact on current account deficit may be one of the proves of this peril. Hegemony is a combination of soft and hard powers, therefore the thesis analyses economy and its competiveness, military power and culture attractiveness, in order to determine current and prospective global leader.
