This bachelor thesis contains recherche of linkages used on cars competing in Formula Student and a design proposal of roll damper mechanism and realization of it. The goal of the design proposal is to lower the weight of mechanism whilst keeping the high value of stiffness. High stiffness contributes to low friction and to proper function of the mechanism. Static structural analyses in ANSYS software were made. Those analyses led to meeting required parameters.

Measuring tyre characteristics in the longitudinal direction on a Formula student car

This diploma thesis deals with longitudinal characteristics of tyres. Its goal is to create measuring algorithm and a whole process of measurement for these characteristics. The introductory part contains descriptions of key parameters. Following is the description of specific procedures leading to determination of these parameters. Thesis also includes description of sensors which are used for measurement of key parameters. The emphasis of the thesis is targeted towards keeping the costs low and making the whole process as repeatable and simple to prepare as possible. The proposed methodology in this thesis considers use of measured data in combination with data determined by performing analysis in Adams View. This analysis is necessary for determination of values of our coefficients, which deal with anti-feature parameters of the suspension. The final data processing and evaluation of the results is performed in MATLAB software.

Beneficial or Detrimental Relationship? The Case of State-Sponsored Terrorism and the Identity of Violent Non-State Actors

With the slow, but steady, amelioration of relations between Israel and the Gulf monarchies, the Islamic Republic of Iran is becoming even more regionally ostracized and may currently present a potential threat to the stability in Middle East. This, coupled with an uncertain domestic stability, may incite a rash decision within Tehran's leadership in order to both alleviate its domestic issues and assert its position in the region. This frustration may be directed towards Israel, the Gulf, or any other potentially threatening presence. One of the tenets of Iranian external power is its support for various resistance movements in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and the Gulf. Iran's long-lasting relationship with two of these movements - Hezbollah and Hamas - is particularly interesting in the context of ever-changing dynamics in the region. Thus, the aim of this diploma thesis to assess whether the relationship between a benefactor, in this case the Islamic Republic of Iran, and a two proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas, is beneficial or detrimental to the latter. The assessment focuses on ideologies and goals of both sides of the relationship and how they man contradict each other at times.

Ontogenetic changes of the face.

The human face is characterized by a combination of morphological characters, which are unique for each individual. These characters are subject to change during ontogeny influenced by age, pathological conditions, injuries. The aim of this diploma thesis was an observation of age changes in the face of individuals in the age range from one to eighteen. Resource material were black and white photographs of girls and boys. Analysis of age changes in facial area was performed using methods of geometric morphometrics, specifically thin plate spine (TPS). The shape analysis confirmed, that between age and face shape exists significant relationship. It was found, that is mainly due to significant changes in height and width ratios. Face extends and narrows, forehead height is reduced and lower jaw grows to lenght. Facial changes are also influenced by the sex of individuals, while for girls the overall growth in the face stopps about age of fifteen, for boys continues to the age of eighteen years. This work analyzes an economics in two hunting areas in the use of company "Třeboňské lesy a rybníky s.r.o." it means "Forests and ponds of Třeboň City" (then just TLR), which manages primarily the forests of Třeboň. The research area is located in the South Bohemian region, district of Jindřichův Hradec, and the city Třeboň is a district of municipalities with extended competence. Evaluation of hunting managment from the economics and biological view. The comparation of results with a literature and commentary on recommendations on these topics.

Kontrukce lokálních objemových tabulek pro borovici lesní na LS Třeboň

The purpose of this thesis is to create volume tables for Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) in Forest Service Třeboň which is an organizational unit of Lesy České republiky, s.p. (state enterprise). Data for this paper were gathered from more than 250 trees that were measured in the field. DendroScanner program that can be used to form volume tables based on tree photographs combined with data measured in the field was used for this analysis (non-destructive method). According to the Czech forest ecosystem classification system, data were measured in six sets of forest types (SLT) and laser range-finder was used alongside other mechanic tools on the majority of Forest Service area. The accuracy of the data was verified by comparing it to a control set of lying trees (destructive method). The results of this paper are volume tables merged together for five SLT (supplemented by three additional tables) and independent tables designed for a 0M type. These tables are specified by a significantly higher stock of timber in comparison to traditional ones made by ÚLT.

THE ROLE OF RADIOLOGICAL ASSISTANT IN DIAGNOSTIC OF PULMONARY EMBOLISM

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the role of a radiological assistant in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism. I briefly and easily explained in my thesis the role of radiological assistant in radiodiagnostic and radionuclide diagnosis of pulmonary embolism. The thesis is divided into several chapters from which each chapter goes to other detailed parts, which includes introduction, anatomy of the respiratory system, physiology and lung pathology, description of individual radiodiagnostic and radionuclide lung examinations, radiation protection, practical part and conclusion. Used methods in this part of medicine are being increasingly modernized (upgraded). They started with simply X-ray snapshot, which is often one of the first examinations that a patient with a history of dyspnoea and similar symptoms undergo. Pulmonary embolism may occur on X-ray as atelectasis, elevation of the diaphragm on the affected side, enlarged hilus or pulmonary prominence. During acute pulmonary embolism is most often possible to find reduced vascular pattern in a certain lung area. Diagnostic benefit increases with other signs such are cardiomegaly or pulmonary prominence. Standard X-ray snapshot does not exclude the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism, its benefit is more in combination with other methods, mainly with ventilatory perfusion scan or angiography of the pulmonary arteries; where is defect finding a mark confirming the diagnosis of embolization. I used these diagnostic methods - CT angiography and lung scintigraphy In practical part. I describe individual methods from radiological assistant's point of view. This part is based on own practical experience together with photos from the entire course of the examination. The statistical survey is focused on the number of patients with CT angiography or lung scintigraphy. The data was obtained at the Hospital Havlíčkův Brod. The last part is the conclusion of the thesis. It contains an overall evaluation of given topic, aim of the bachelor thesis and the role of the radiological assistant in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism.

Capital allocation principles

Insurance companies or other financial institutions face financial risks during their various activites. Risk capital is allocated in order to cover these risks. The goal of capital allocation is to redistribute this capital to various constituents of the firm with respect to their riskiness. The thesis deals with risk measures and allocation methods. Special emphasis is put on the notions of coherent risk measures and coherent allocation methods. Conditions of coherence are checked for certain allocation methods. The thesis also deals with practical calculation of allocations to individual risks using allocation methods. 1
