Problems in machining of titanium alloys
Drábek, Tomáš ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis contains a brief overview of some experimental methods that are used in machining technologies. The experimental part at first elaborates on the analysis of two titanium alloys. The actual experiment, which consists of milling of the two aforementioned materials with the use of several tools and holders, is then described. It was conducted in collaboration with the company Frentech Aerospace s.r.o. When milling, forces were measured with piezoelectric dynamometer. Further, the analysis of acquired data that is followed with discussion about its main findings, is provided. The conclusion of the thesis deals with the found facts corresponding with the information obtained by analysis of materials. The main results arise out of the comparison of used combinations of tools and holders for milling of material Ti-Al6-V4, observation of impact of particular factors on measured force, or out of different values of measured forces when milling two given materials.
Machining technologies used in medicinal producing
Drábek, Tomáš ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on the connection of machining technologies with medical production. The first part includes an overview of a few Czech companies that pursue production of joint replacements. There are also some examples of the joint replacements included in this part. Frequently used materials for implants and constructions of dental replacements are included in the following part. The next section contains a summary of machining technologies used in this area. Additionally, there are a few technological production processes of components of joint replacements which are mentioned in the first part. This part also outlines machining technologies used in constructions of dental replacement production. Also included is an evaluation of the possibilities of producing femoral components of a knee replacement, as well as points out the specificity of machining technologies used in stomatology. The ending section of the thesis contains an overview of machining machines, tools, and software used in these areas. Lastly, there is a final evaluation concluding the work as a whole.
The function, importance and experience of the music sections of the Czechoslovak Legion in Russia on the example of regimental music of the 1st Cz. Rifle Regiment "Jan Hus"
Drábek, Tomáš ; Šedivý, Ivan (advisor) ; Čechurová, Jana (referee)
(in English): This thesis deals with the topic of the music bands of the Czechoslovak Legionnaires in Russia between 1914 and 1920. Emphasis is placed on the music band of the "Jan Hus" 1st Czechoslovak Rifle Regiment, which in the present research serves as a representative of the other forms of regimental musics. The text focuses on describing the basic facts of how musical ensembles of this kind worked, but it also describes their importance for the army, the experience of the legionary musicians themselves, and the way in which the legionary bands dealt with the impact of two cultural influences - the Austro-Hungarian one, which was close to most legionaries from their pre-war life, and the Russian one, which the musicians were exposed to during their time abroad.
Care for the quadriplegics in the Czech Republic and United Kingdom, positive and negative aspects from users' point of view
Zíbarová, Tereza ; Povolná, Pavla (advisor) ; Drábek, Tomáš (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the field of the care after quadriplegics in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe positive and negative aspects of the care provided to quadriplegics both in Great Britain and the Czech Republic from the point of view of the care users, and subsequently to propose possibilities of improvement of the care in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part explains quadriplegia and outline social and health systems for quadriplegics in the Czech Republic as well as in the United Kingdom. This part includes the description of compensatory aids available for clients, conditions of health and social insurance, rehabilitation care options and financial support in both countries. In the research part, based on data interpretation of the data collected by qualitative research technique (interviews that were implemented with quadriplegics living the Czech Republic and United Kingdom), I analyze the situation of the clients of both social and health systems. These interviews revealed several areas of positive and negative evaluation of the existing situation and highlight possibilities of potential future improvement of the care in the Czech Republic.
The effect of hypothermia on outcome and neurologic injury after prolonged cardiac arrest treated by emergency preservation and delayed resuscitation
Drábek, Tomáš ; Jech, Robert (advisor) ; Hess, Ladislav (referee) ; Mareš, Jan (referee)
5 Summary: Currently, the outcomes from traumatic exsanguination cardiac arrest (CA) show that over 50% of deaths due to trauma occur at the scene, where medical care is limited. Less than 10% of patients who become pulseless from trauma survive. However, in an appropriate setting, some of those traumatic injuries could be surgically repairable. Emergency preservation and resuscitation (EPR) is a novel approach for resuscitation of exsanguination CA victims. EPR uses deep hypothermic preservation for prolonged CA to buy time for transport, damage control surgery, and delayed resuscitation with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Initially, we used a dog model to maximize clinical relevance. We showed that the efficacy of EPR is related to the depth of hypothermia and duration of CA. Pharmacologic adjuncts tested to augment hypothermia generally failed. Extended hemorrhagic shock did not prevent the success of EPR vs. conventional resuscitation if extended post-resuscitative hypothermia was provided. Oxygenation of the flush allowed extending of survivable duration of deep hypothermic CA. Because of the lack of molecular tools available for use in dogs, we developed a rat EPR model to study the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying deep hypothermic neuroprotection to allow us to define specific targets for...
Possibilities of the social work on the support of the sexual and partnership of disabled people
Drábek, Tomáš ; Mitáš, Václav (advisor) ; Zelinková, Olga (referee)
UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE Husitská teologická fakulta Diplomová práce Possibilites of the social work on the support of the sexual and partnership of disabled people Vedoucí práce: Autor: PhDr. ThDr. Václav Mitáš, Th.D. Bc. Tomáš Drábek Praha 2011 Annotation The author of this thesis concerns the issues of charitable profession workers working with disabled people, in area of sexuality and partnerships. The workers tend to have wide knowledge in many disciplines, but in sexuality, which is so natural and closely related to the quality of life, are not instructed. According to the author, it is necessary to develop social workers' attitude towards sexuality during their professional training, and implicate a different behaviour towards persons with disabilities and their sexuality. Education in area of sexuality as well as disability studies should not be based on theoretical knowledge, but need to be conceived as a process of forming views at fundamental issues in this area. Therefore the aim of this thesis should be to declassify the topic of sexuality and to accept it as a natural part of life for everyone, including individuals with disabilities.
Inovace autonomního systém pro měření osvětlenosti v interiéru
Drábek, Tomáš ; Holub, Jan
The goal of this report is to show the results we achieved in the field of autonomous indoor illuminance measurement. At the beginning of the paper the state of the art measurement methodology is shown. It is followed by the description of the robotic unit we designed for the purpose of automation of the measurement process. Moreover, the algorithm for measurement process is described in detail. The rest of the paper deals with possible improvements of the robotic platform mainly by adding new sensors and by adding the illuminance vector measurement unit.
