Apartment House

This bachelor thesis deals with the construction of an apartment house in Bohuslavice u Zlína. It is a building that has three aboveground and one underground floor in slightly sloping terrain. The property holds 8 housing units. On the first and second floors there are three apartments and in the third one only two. Each floor is connected by a three-armed staircase and an elevator. The building is made of brick blocks Porotherm. The ceilings are monolithic reinforced concrete and the roof is flat single-coated. The facade is insulated with ETICS system with white plaster or stone cladding. The project includes technical, thermal, acoustic and light assessment.

Mixed-use building in Prostějov The aim of this master´s thesis is to elaborate the project documentation of a mixed-use building in Prostějov. The thesis consists of three parts: architectural-construction part, building services and elective part. The building has two above-ground floors. On the first floor there are storerooms, utility room, sanitary facilities and restaurant with kitchen and storerooms. The second floor is an office floor for one company which includes offices, dayroom, copyroom, meeting room and sanitary facilities. The building is founded on reinforced concrete foundation. The horizontal load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures are designed from ceramics blocks. The building is insulated by ETICS. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from Spiroll slabs. The building has a green flat roof. There are parking spaces on the grounds. The building will be heated and cooled with a heat pump. It will also have an air condition. Part of electricity demand is covered by photovoltaics. In the third part of thesis, I replace frequently used materials with environmental ones in my project and compare them in terms of thermal engineering, acoustics and price. I used DEKSOFT, Hluk+, Autocad and Revit software. All structures comply with the valid standards and regulations.
Karel Kamínek as a Prose Writer

The thesis deals with short proses of Karel Kamínek - author of Modern revue circuit. The first part is dedicated to environment of Czech decadency in 19th and 20th centuries, its French roots and European sources of inspiration. The second part deals with the person of Karel Kamínek itself. It begins with basic biographical data and presents selected projects in which Kamínek participated. The third part analyses the author's short proses. We focus on Dies Irae and other stories and on Disonance also on short stories published in magazines. We approach Kamínek's work chronologically; divide it into sections with related poetics, while respecting the framework of book units. Selected short stories are closer discussed. The aim is to remind forgiven author, try to determine the specifics of his prose, capture its development and to put his work into the context of Czech literature.

Construction of student identity of Vietnamese college students with parents with different educational attainment

This bachelor thesis discusses the topic of university students of Vietnamese origin in regard to their parents' educational level. The aim of this thesis is to determine whether there are some differences between students, whose parents have achieved university degree, and students, whose parents do not have university degree. The potential differences are examined in relation to their perceptions of themselves as students, their decisions about university studies, the values ascribed to higher education and the processes that shape their identity. The research is also taking to account the influence of cultural context associated with family's migration experience, straddling between two cultures and relationship between children and parents. Theoretical chapters describe theories of educational transmission and the effects of social origin on education attainment. They also present the issue of first- generation university students and characterize Vietnamese minority in the Czech Republic. Empirical chapters describe qualitative research which used semi-structured interviews as the main method. The semi-structured interviews were conducted with six respondents. The Present-Day State of Czech in the Village of Veselynivka in the Ukraine

The aim of the thesis is to describe the Czech language in the context of the language situation in the Czech community situated in the south of the Ukraine in the village of Veselynivka in the Odesa Region. The core of the thesis is formed by results of a field research conducted by the author in 2018. The first part of the text presents a wider context for exploring Czech communities abroad, dealing with eastern emigration from the Czech lands and the current state of the Czech minority in the Ukraine. Next part of the work is devoted to the history and socio-cultural environment of the village of Veselynivka with a focus on education and religion. The following chapters deal with a comprehensive analysis of Veselynivkaʼs Czech, in which we proceed along different language levels - phonetic and phonological, morphological, syntactical and lexical. Linguistic analysis is carried out with an emphasis on two aspects. The first is the coincidence, or mismatch, of individual identifying characteristics with the dialects of Northeastern Bohemia. The second aspect of the research is the influence of the Russian or Ukrainian languages on the local dialect.
