Principles of Environmental Protection

This thesis explores selected principles of environmental protection. First, a general introduction to the topic of legal principles is given. It is followed by a description of the approach taken in international environmental law and the environmental law of the European Union. Subsequently, this paper focuses on a theoretical analysis of these selected principles: (i) principle of sustainable development, (ii) preventative principle, (iii) precautionary principle, (iv) polluter pays principle, (v) principle of the highest value, (vi) principle of a high level of protection and finally, (vii) principle of access to information and of public participation. The main attention is paid to the situation in the Czech Republic. The aim was to provide an analysis of the principles of environmental protection in statutory provisions, and of their application by the Czech courts (the Supreme Administrative Court in particular). However, also a brief comparative description of the Austrian approach to the discussed topic is given. Finally, the research results are discussed and conclusions concerning the effectiveness of the environmental principles application are drawn. City of Kolín Demographic Passport

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compile a demographic passport of a region, concretely the city of Kolín. In the introduction part of the study I have outlined the sphere of public management and its use within small settlements. The work includes also a social-economic analysis of the city which shows the opportunities and barriers to the development of the city of Kolín. The population structure, local economy, housing policy, employment market and city amenities are described here. The description of these components results in the SWOT analysis. The work is focused in bigger detail on the description of the demographic situation after 1991. It deals with the condition and composition of the inhabitants, with birth rate and fertility, marriage-, divorce-, death rates and migration. By force of this work complex information about the inhabitants is presented which should hepl in the decision process about the further direction of the development of the city Kolín. Polyfosfáty v masné výrobě

This Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of polyphosphates (phosphates) used in the technology of meat production and with their impacts on human organism. The first part of the thesis focuses on history and gradual development in use of polyphosphates in the meat-processing indusrty. It explains what the polyphosphates and their qualities are and what functions they perform in the food processing industry, meat production in particular. The second part, the main one, describes properties of individual polyphosphates, their characteristics and purposes of their use in the meat-processing industry. The last one cover the methods of determination of phosphates in meat products, which help us control the level of these substances in final products.

The thesis presents comparison of Czech and Croatian business environment using PEST analysis and macroeconomic indicators for description. It is focused on international trade with goods and services. It is aimed at companies operating on the Czech and Croatian market and their practical experience. Last part of thesis is concentrated on the future cooperation connected to Czech and Croatian EU membership.
Capital intensive forms of entry into foreign markets with a focus on TPCA Kolin

The thesis presents forms of international capital and further characterizes capital intensive forms of entry into foreign markets. It deals in some details with a concrete example of the TPCA joint ventures, which was created by two foreign car producing companies in The Czech Republic. The thesis includes an analysis of how citizens feel the impacts of TPCA in Kolin. It describes its benefits and negatives.
