Demographic and social characteristics of immigrants to the USA Abstract The aim of this thesis is to describe the social, economic and demographic characteristics of Immigrants to the USA. The first part outlines the history of immigration and immigration policy in the USA. In the practical part, there are described characteristics of the population born outside the USA throught demographic analysis of fertility, mortality and socio-economic characteristics of immigrants. In the reporting period the population had different demographic behavior than the native population of the United States. Immigrants had higher level of fertility, lower age-standardized mortality rates are and higher life expectancy at birth. Within the social characteristics is analyzed more indicators of immigrant population, which differ not only in comparison with the native population, but also within the immigrant population, usually determined by country of origin and obtained citizenship. How to effectively promote change in the accounting system of the audit firm

The aim of my thesis is to analyse procedures currently used by auditors when presenting suggestions of changes at the client. The theoretical part defines change and its process. Further I look into inner motivation and the GROW method, which is used in couching. In the practical part, structured interviews with an auditor and employees of a financial accounts department according to the GROW method are carried out. Recommendations and procedures for implementing changes by the auditor are recommended based on these interviews. The aim of these recommendations is to improve the process of implementing change itself.

Analysis of the construction and functionality of the waste-water purifying plant in the village of Vyskytná

The Bachelor Thesis, titled as "Analysis of construction and functionality of the waste-water purifying plant in the village of Vyskytná", is engaged in the subsidy system in Czech Republic based on the perspective of a municipality. The first part discusses how and from where exactly local administrations withdraw financial means for their budget. Furthermore, each individual subsidy category is listed together with the general criteria necessary for its acquirement. The theoretical part describes common issues concerning the subsidy structures. The second, practical, part is focused on the used subsidy for the waste-water purifying plant in Vyskytná and its analysis, which mainly contains a financial evaluation of the operating costs and revenues of the plant. The conclusion summarizes the findings.
