Analysis of Musical Harmony
Štrbka, Dávid ; Holan, Tomáš (advisor) ; Ježek, Pavel (referee)
Musical songs are ordinary part of our lives. Musical harmony is one of basic property for describing songs and also it ist large part of musical theory. By knowing musical harmony of some song, we can easily reproduce musical accompaniment. In introduction this thesis explain neccesary theory and possible ways of solving this problem. Next par is implementation of application for automatic chord recognition. Application provides graphical visualizations of sund spectrum and chord recognition data. After importing referention values application provides comparison of analysis efficiency. At the end of thesis is conclusion about efficiency of application detection algorithm. CPX Device Integrator
Janoušek, Josef ; Holan, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pergel, Martin (referee)
The thesis studies possibilities of communication among programs (that process measured quantities) and measuring devices used for testing of patients in an exercise lab. The existing technique is based on direct interconnection of concrete pair of device and program, which makes parallel connection of more devices and programs impossible. So the goal was to create the integration tool which all devices can connect to. His job is to manage and process a communication among devices during the measurement. The program attendant can easily set the form of interconnection which allows creating various examination scenarios. The program will be prepared for integration of devices from various manufacturers. As a result it contributes to simplification and efficiency improvement of examination technique of diagnostics of patients in an exercise lab. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Citadels AI
Pekárek, Jakub ; Holan, Tomáš (advisor) ; Gemrot, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to implement a playable version of the game Citadels with console interface, and to use it for analysis of the game's properties and development of artificial intelligence. This thesis includes an analysis of strategies, a scheme for their design, an organization of turn processing, a model of intelligence implementation and testing tools. A number of approaches to specific moves have been developed, all of which achieved positive impact on overall intelligence performance. Game analysis showed a variety of game situations that need to be approached in different ways. Consequently, inappropriateness of usage of general approaches has been demonstrated; while showing benefits of the suggested inteligence design, based on a composition of separate strategies. A strong influence of player earnings on the overall performance has also been demonstrated, while other factors only show very low influence in general case. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Timetable Designing Environment
Janata, Dominik ; Holan, Tomáš (advisor) ; Surynek, Pavel (referee)
The work treats the problem of algorithmic generation of traffic schedules. The emphasised aspect is the relationship between the quality of the schedules and the requirements the customers of the traffic system, being the passengers, put on it. The work has four major outputs. The first one is a system modelling the traf- fic network and providing possibility to test generating algorithms. The second is an implentation of genetic algorithm for generating traffic schedules. The third is a set of tested metrics of traffic schedule quality. The fourth is a set of deve- loper packages providing external programmers easy way of implementating the modules of the program; the set is available on the web pages of the project. Keywords: Traffic schedules, genetic algorithm, passengers, rating 1
Text Recognition in Natural Scenes
Tran, Tuan Hiep ; Surynek, Pavel (advisor) ; Holan, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Text Recognition in Natural Scenes Author: Tuan Hiep Tran Abstract: The main topic of our thesis is text recognition in natural sce- nes. This technology has finds many useful applications in the present world and has a great potential in the future one. We are analyzing the topic from theoretical but also from experimental perspective. Detailed analysis is done in theoretical part of this work. Based on this analysis, we propose inte- grating algoritm ER proposed by Matas and Neumann for letter detection with modified algorithm from Phan and co. for word recognition. Proposed method had been experimentally evaluated on testset ICDAR 2013 and ar- chieved recall 0.6 and precision 0.72. Our work also includes C++ library for text recognition, console and gui application for text recognition using the proposed method. 1
SQL query as a PHP object
Vondrák, David ; Holan, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kopecký, Michal (referee)
Title: SQL query as a PHP object Author: David Vondrák Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor: RNDr. Tomáš Holan, Ph.D., Department of Software and Computer Science Education Abstract: The thesis deals with creation of PHP classes which represent SQL que- ry as an object, independent of the dialect, and enable to load a query, modify it and write it. The classes can process queries of four types, SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE, and convert them from/into MySQL and PostgreSQL dialects. The query's object representation allows to modify it and retrieve in- formation about the query easily. This fact is utilised while designing a sample application which, after plugging in an PHP application, can record executed SQL queries along with information about tables innvolved in the query and functions responsible for query's execution. Keywords: PHP, SQL, query, object 1
Real-time Strategy Game in Space
Vavrek, Michal ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Holan, Tomáš (referee)
Nowadays, we could find a lot of real-time strategy games (RTS games) in stores. Many of them are really similar and contain similar elements. That is the reason why we decided to create a RTS game, which will contain typical elements of the RTS game and moreover it will contains new elements, which we think that games of this genre should have. One of the main tasks is to create extensible game with new objects, actions and missions. The run-time compiling of the new things from a XML document have proven as a very good choice to do the extensibility. The next main task is to enable setting and changing some properties of objects during the game. We have decided to use a run-time scripting. Based on our decisions we create the RTS game that meets our requirements as part of this work. The game is developed in C# for .NET platform. The game is just prototype because it does not contain an artificial intelligence. But current implementation of the game is fully sufficient to demonstrate our added properties and features to the RTS games. The work also contains several implemented objects and missions. The missions use the implemented objects to demonstrate the functionality. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Content Management System (CMS) for School Environment
Ligr, David ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Holan, Tomáš (referee)
To simplify content management web application, there are so-called content management systems. Few of these systems complies with the requirements placed on them by the primary and secondary schools. The aim of this work is to create a content management system web application that would meet the requirements of the SpZŠ Skuteč. The resulting application is written in ASP.NET MVC 3 and C#. When designing an application, emphasis was placed on ease of use and its extensibility. Part of this work is the introduction to the topic of web development, which includes the selection of a suitable programming language, frameworks, persistent storage, and other concepts that are used in web development. The work includes development documentation, which highlights the importance of the individual modules. The work also includes user documentation that describes how to manage all content applications.
Universal discrete simulator
Vytasil, Jiří ; Pergel, Martin (advisor) ; Holan, Tomáš (referee)
In this thesis we analyzed the design and implementation of the program allowing you to perform discrete-event simulation. Further in the program we implemented visualization of discrete-event simulation. Emphasis is placed mainly on~universality. In addition to the program and its description includes information of discrete-event simulation, which allows easier understanding of~program operation. For a description of discrete-event simulation using finite-state automata and regular grammars. These parts are described more in order to more easily understand the description of the discrete-event simulation. The~system also allows adjustment of input files for easier operation of the program. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
