The Effect of Teambuilding Outdoor Games on Salivary Cortisol Levels

Title: The Effect of Teambuilding Outdoor Games on Salivary Cortisol Levels Background: The present time is characterized by its great pressure on the psyche of the individual creating a stressful environment along with its negative effects. Stress has become a very important scientific topic worldwide. Physical activities in nature can be an effective way to reduce stress. Objectives: The aim of this master's thesis was to investigate the effect of team building outdoor games on salivary cortisol levels. Methods: The thesis was conducted as an experimental study with a crossover design. 10 participants completed three different experimental conditions - teambuilding outdoor games, indoor games, and passive rest. A saliva sample was collected before and immediately after the activities. The salivary cortisol levels were used as the main dependent variable. Comparative statistical methods and generalized linear regression models were used in the data analysis. Results: Salivary cortisol levels not significantly decreased after both types of games; however, increased significantly after the passive rest (p = 0.017). Title: Outdoor Activities for Children from Socially Disadvantaged Environments Objectives: The objective of this bachelor's thesis was to propose a set of outdoor games and activities suitable for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Methods: A descriptive-analytical approach was employed, specifically involving content analysis of texts related to the topic of social disadvantage and outdoor games. The gathered information was carefully organized and systematically processed to create a clear and concise summary. Results: A compilation of outdoor games for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Conclusions: The suggested collection of games can serve as a methodological guide for organizers of outdoor programs tailored for children and youth from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Relationship between "self-efficacy" and stress coping during challenge activity

Title: The relationship of "self-efficacy" and experiencing state anxiety in challenging activity. Goals: The aim of this work was to find a relationship between self-efficacy and state anxiety in challenging activity in overcome a high obstacle. Methods: Thirty-three undergraduate students at FTVS UK, who completed a challenging activity in the form of a height obstacle. At the beginning of the course, each person completed the NGSE questionnaire. State anxiety was assessed by using the CSAI-2 questionnaire, which participants completed twice. Once on the ground, before the activity, the second time at a height just before overcoming an obstacle. Results: A moderately strong relationship (p = 0,05) was demonstrated between self-efficacy and the cognitive dimension of anxiety r = -0,421 (p = 0,05) in height and between self-efficacy and the dimension of self-confidence r = 0,450 (p = 0,01 ), also in height. The female sample showed a relationship between self-efficacy and the cognitive dimension of anxiety r = -0,523 (p = 0,05) in height and between self-efficacy and the dimension of self-confidence r = 0,572 (p = 0,01), also in height. Outdoor activity and sports courses at secondary schools in the Příbram region

Title: Outdoor activity and sports courses at secondary schools in the Příbram region. Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis was to map the offer of outdoor activities and sports courses at secondary schools in the Příbram region. Methods: The research group consisted of 11 state secondary schools located in the Příbram district. For this research, we chose the method of a questionnaire, which was sent to secondary school principals via electronic communication. Some schools were visited personally. The questionnaire consisted of 21 questions. The obtained data were evaluated using basic statistical methods and interpreted using graphs. Results: All of the interviewed secondary schools organize sports courses for their students in a natural environment. The most frequently organized course is the Adaptation Course, which is organized by all schools approached. The second most frequently organized course is a Ski Course - found in 90.9% of the surveyed schools. Of the courses offered in the questionnaire, 55% of schools answered that students are most interested in the Adaptation Course. In 27% of schools, the greatest interest is in the Boating Course and in 18% in the Skiing Course. Permanent personality traits of students specialising in nature education at UK FTVS compared to the general population

Title: Permanent personality traits of students specialising in nature education at UK FTVS compared to the general population. Objectives: To compare personality traits of students specialising in nature education at UK FTVS with personality traits of population norms. Methods: With questionnaire BFI-44 were found personality traits od 33 participants which were compared with traits of population norms. Results: Students who took part in this research had, on average, noticeably higher scores on neuroticism (11,7% more), openness (11,3% more) and conscientiousness (10,1 more) than the population norm. There was no significant difference on the extraversion and friendliness ranges, although there was minimal difference on both. Conclusion: Students specializing in outdoor education are more open and conscientious than the general population, but they are also more predisposed to neurotic behavior. The relationship of participation in children's summer camps with the development of moral reasoning in middle school children

Title The relationship of participation in children's summer camps with the development of moral reasoning in middle school children. Objectives The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between children's participation in summer camps and their moral development. A secondary objective was to determine the relationship between parenting style and the child's personality on the child's moral development. Methods The research was conducted on 164 middle school children. The research used three standardized questionnaires combined into one, specifically the questionnaires were the Alabama Parenting Questionnaire, the BFI - 10, and the Moral Identity Questionnaire. The results from these questionnaires were evaluated by statistical analysis using SPSS software. Subsequently, correlation analysis, regression analysis and T - Test were performed with the results. Results The relationship between participation in children's camps and the development of moral reasoning has not been proven. The relationship between parenting style and moral self was evident in the section dealing with so-called positive parenting. Title: Hippotourism in České Středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands) Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to survey the offer of service in territory of České středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands) Methods: This study is comparing opinions and experiences of 3 woman, who is included in hippotourism in this area. They were answering to the half- structured interview. The second part of study was fasted on inquiry of service in horse tourism. Respondents were answering to short questionary with closed answers. This questionary was based on possibilities and satisfaction with momentarily services in this area. Results: It was found that all interviewed stables are offering horseback riding for beginners and advanced riders. One of the stables offers also mediation of veterinary and farrier services. Another offered service in all stables is stabling itself, in boxes or in a grazing form. Two of the stable owners offer accomodation in apartments, third owner offers camping in tents or in the open-air. All stable owners and also 9 of 15 respondents, would appreciate update of the maps of hippotouric routes in the Central Bohemian Uplands. Effect of two active recovery methods on repeated bouts of finger flexor isometric performance

Title: Effect of two active recovery methods on repeated bout of finger flexors isometric performance. Goals: Compare two methods of active recovery - global and local, during repeated isometric performance and learn the difference between active and passive recovery. Method: Ten recreational athletes in average age 30,4 ± 5,9 years performed in a random cross-over desing 3 sessions with 3 repeated isometric intermittent contraction. The effect of active global recovery, active local recovery and passive recovery between repetions was monitored. Results: More effective type of recovery was active recovery. There was no difference between both active recovery methods. Performed decrease in active global recovery was activleast effective method of recovery was passive recovery. Decrease in the time in active global recovery was 21,7s (29,77%) and in active local recovery 20,8s (30,1%). The least effective was passive recovery. There was decrease 24,6s (35,34%). Courses of outdoor activities and sports at high schools in Prague 3

Work title: Courses of outdoor activities and sports at high schools in Prague 3. Aim: The aim is to introduce a range of courses and activities, outdoor sports for high school students in Prague 3 in terms of the type of course, program offer, organizing or securing locations. Methods: Research group consisted of 11 high schools based in Prague 3. Research method was a questionnaire, distributed by electronic communication (e-mail) to the directors of individual schools. The questionnaire contained a total of 15 questions, which were evaluated by using basic statistical methods and interpreted in graphs. Results: Sports courses are organized at all high schools in Prague 3, with the exception of one school. The most common sports course - more than 85% - is a ski course, organized in the Czech mountains for one week. The ski course is from 90% organized by PE teachers. The biggest interest from students is in the adaptation course, more than 95%, at the same time it is the second most frequently organized course in schools. Other outdoor activities and courses are filled by more than 85% of students.
